Ask who is legally responsible for the outputs of AI. They tell you AI can be wrong and that you have to fact check everything produced by an AI tool... all the while theres a completely lack of control or overseeing or legislation protecting citizens from AI or making anyone accountable if something goes wrong.
I don't think they understand the term "sleepwalking" at the BCC. The fact that you even ask this question (for the thousands time) kind of answers it for us doesn't it?

@@supertotorito Not necessarily, there does exist Open Source AI, which isn't far behind the corporate AIs. And AI is built not by rich people, but rather by engineers and OUR data that's been collected over the years. Massive amounts of data, on a scale so large it'd be hard to manipulate in a way you're suggesting.
@@GrumpDog There is a lot of "OpenSource washing" in the industry. The training of a LLM requires massive hardware resources and are not reproductible without the dataset. The first L in LLM stands for Large and is not really something you can prepare on a couple of Nvidia card in your basement. You need a lot of money and resources that are only available for a couple of large IT companies.
To comprehend the incomprehensible is an impossible task that only leads to more questions for every answered one. There is no real reason to fear UNTIL there is a reason to fear.

It's said AI is better in some aspects than living humans and some of us don't even mind having intimate relationship with robots so I see it's gonna be acceptable for me too to be on friendly terms with AI(robots) rather than actual people, and I'd agree that prople would make use of them as one potent workforce in space of humans if we focus on profits or possible chain values in future.

Regulation IS NECESSARY in the face of unaccountable power accrued to a few large entities that in and of themselves are both too large to fail and too powerful for any one Government to call to heel. These entities are far too large, and span the Globe and have their tentacles into so much of what passes for Global Infrastructure and Administration and Global Economics that the only effective regulatory framework must come from collective authorities and overlapping jurisdictions that ensure there is no hiding place from accountability.
So far, it's hype.
