Indigo Park is the latest hit in the mascot horror genre, with cool characters like Rambley the Raccoon, Mollie Macaw, and Lloyd the Lion, an epic soundtrack with a great end credits song in Rambley Review, and a very interesting story.
In terms of story, while it seems pretty clear that the mascots had something to do with why Indigo Park closed, there are things about the way they behave, why the Critter Cuff doesn't work on Mollie but does on Lloyd, why the Mollie Macaw chase isn't until late in the game despite her appearances throughout the story, and how we learn so little about Salem the Skunk that have very interesting connotations for the story.

I definitely do not trust Rambley! What's his beef with Lloyd?! There was definitely a falling out because there's a picture of them together looking like they were friends but apparently, not anymore. Also, doesn't Rambley say he can't "see" backstage at the theater? Molly and Lloyd may hide out from him back there for a reason.

No, they are the same person, "Schmidt" is a false name made by Michael (most likely his mother's maiden name) to distance himself from his father, William Afton (he's more likely to get a job if he doesn't have any relation to the diner franchise where kids went missing/died)
I don't know if this is an important detail, but the Mollie chasing you has realistic parrot feet. It's two digits forward and two backward on each talon. All the other depictions like the cutouts and plushies have three digits forward and one backward. The one chasing you also has hands, but the others have 'wing hands' where the whole wing is a hand like in cartoons and stuff.
Not sure if these differences are actually important or not, but I wanted to point them out to ID.

It’d be one thing if maybe these differences were a few games apart and they just felt like updating Mollies design, but considering this is all in the first game, I feel like it’s intentional! I've been thinking about this line too. I have a mini theory that the Rambley A.I. doesn't actually register the live mascots as his friends. He registers the cardboard cut-out of Mollie on his train ride as his friend.
You'd think if he did register the live mascot as the real Mollie, he'd shout something like, "Mollie! What are you doing?! You're not supposed to chase guests!" Instead, he doesn't even seem to register her as a living or relevant being, only a threat that he must protect the guest from. Nothing about that whole interaction implies he associates that creature with his friend, or even anything important enough to address as it bleeds all over the floor, just apologizing to his guest for their less than fun time at the park.

When he says that, I think it is less talking about them. They are still in the park. But who left the park? The employees and guests.

I think Rambley refers to his A.I. friends. We can see, that there was a broken Mollie animatronic and a very dirty Finley. Don't think Rambley considers living mascots his friends.
rambley did not close the door until her head was right in line with it. i cant tell if he hesitated, not knowing what to do, or if he was intentionally trying to kill mollie, i remember there was a few seconds between running into the room for safety and rambley closing the door. those doors are definitely reinforced and probably designed to protect park workers and guests if something were to happen
Quick note: The critter cuff didn't shock Lloyd, it let out a high pitched frequency that made him curl in a ball, cover his ears, and then run away to get away from it.
Source: You can hear the noise when Lloyd attacks. Uniquegeese also mentioned it in a stream.
If there was sound there I completely missed it whoops. I just remembered UniqueGeese pointing out the glowing of the wristband lol
@@IDsFantasy Yeah I think most people missed it. He mentioned possibly adding more comic-looking sound waves coming out of it to make it more obvious, especially because some people even missed the cuff lighting up. Matpat actually thought they glitched something out for a while XD

@@IDsFantasy I agree with KohakuAmber, I heard the noise, but I think even with what UniqueGeese has said there may be more to what's going on than just the sound. Something that works on a neural level. And I don't think it necessarily needs to be the park that did it, it could have been Salem. Think of two factors: 1) Mollie can attack Ed despite the cuff and Mollie'd beak is dripping fresh blood when no one has been in the park for 8 years (as mentioned by Rambley who has access to most areas of the park); 2) Lloyd also has blood on him but these marks are all within reach of his own claws. that could possibly explain why Mollie can attack. I think there's a good chance both Mollie and Lloyd have been trying to remove something in their bodies, and Mollie may have succeeded if it was what caused the cuff to no longer work on her the way it did for Lloyd. That would indicate the park did it. However, if Salem did it could be that Lloyd succeeded and Mollie didn't and that's why the cuff worked on Lloyd but it didn't on Mollie. Both of them have blackened eyes that differ from their portraits which suggest being under an influence and not able to control their own actions, even if one or both have been trying to fight the controlling influence. It would make narrative sense that the park would have been the ones to install any protective neural interface that would ensure "safety" of park guests if anything went wrong (with the likely main focus not being sued for injury or wrongful death), but it could be that Salem was the first to figure out how to change it or remove it and their actions led to the events that forced the evacuation. It could be this functionality that Salem is exploiting against all the mascots and it could be that Salem used Rambley to figure out how to do it and betrayed him and that's why Salem's section of his ride is destroyed. It might also be why he doesn't react to Mollie's death, Salem may have changed something about the function that means Rambley can't see them as his friends anymore and Salem may have made it so Rambley can't access areas like Lloyd's backstage or Mollie's play pen because Salem didn't want Rambley getting in and undoing their control over the flesh and blood mascots. We know Lloyd was the first main mascot of the park due to Rambley's animosity and the statue of Lloyd backstage. But we don't know when that started. Ed doesn't mention animosity being known to exist between the characters when he was a kid and visited the park, and given Lloyd was another fan favourite and the art depicts them as besties it could be Salem exploited and changed this as part of the event that shut the park down so that Rambley couldn't stop or reason with any of the mascots. We don't know if he was even up and running during the event or if he got shut down park-wide as potentially park of disabling the critter cuffs and their safety overrides. So maybe in returning to the park and restoring things Rambley is now back online for the first time since before the event and that's why his system hasn't been rebooted to get rid of the changes that block him from certain spaces and why he still hasn't seen Mollie as his friend and mourned her death. But that's just a theory 😅😊

One thing, the blood on Lloyd and Mollie? it's still red, it's drying brown but that's the key word, "Drying", so while this may thankfully mean they clean themselves, it also means that both RECENTLY killed, as in, not just within the last 8 years, but within the last 8 hours killed something.
Also, some lore on the Rambley Customer Assistance Program (AI), in the Rambley review he sings about two very specific things showing his own treatment by Park Staff may not of been much better then that of the Mascots, Good Feedback means "I get to exist", suggesting that lack of feedback or worse, BAD feedback could of lead to his deletion, second part has him stating "Views and Assess" each guest as he Learns so that they would return.
He also shows that he can/does disassociate his Character Friends from the Mascots after Mascot Mollie's Death, he doesn't refer to the Mascots as his friends, but as "The Mascots", suggesting that, at least on some level, he knows the Mascots aren't his friends... this also doesn't preclude the possibility of other AI characters being in the Park systems.
Assuming they are some sort of mutants like mollies death implied, they may be surviving off local wildlife, afterall they cant have killed a human recently with you being the first guest in years
@@shinyrayquaza9 I'd nominally agree... except Lloyd doesn't have blood around his mouth, whatever he killed, he didn't eat, conversely, Mollie definitely does eat you.

@@IDsFantasy It could be, but I feel the colouring of the Mascots is, as an example, very specifically done to best match the colours of the Characters. Lloyd is actually a great example because of the blue nose and spots, blue isn’t everywhere on the Mascot as on the Character, but those other places (paw pads, inside the ears) are also obscured (by the mane, and the blood for the paw pads).
A fun thing Uniquegeese said on one of his streams is that the reason the mascots don’t have clothes anymore is because they have been alone for so long although the reason Mollie still has her hat is because it was a form of comfort item for her. So do with that information what you will.

Honestly one of my favorite things about Indigo Park is the fact that for most of the game the park seems pretty calm but when you get chased by Molly and Lloyd the game shows you that it is not afraid to get dark and scary.

I've noticed a lot of lore bits that maybe important.
During the first cutscene with the black and white video we can see Lloyd is the one on the front gate but then later when you explore the location Rambley has taken his place.
When Rambley mentions "hopping over to the registration center" he motions to his right first then has to correct himself to point left. He clearly isn't use to being in this spot.
Rambley says it's "Rambley Tuesday" despite the screen on the right clearly showing it's a Saturday.
Mollie is secretly following you throughout the train ride and gets really close but doesn't attack you until you are separated from Rambley later on.
Salem the skunks part of the train ride is the only part that's destroyed. This also happens to be the same part where you find the Mollie robot and she says "Not Rambley! He hurts Lloyd!"
When Lloyds part comes up on the train ride Rambley skips him but you can clearly hear Lloyd say in the background "I'm the real star of the show" and Lloyd is the last one to be introduced while Rambley doesn't even have his own character introduction on the ride.
The gift shop after the train ride only has Rambley themed items left implying his stuff was the only things that didn't sell.
Salem is strangely the only one we haven't seen a plushie of and therefore have very little information on.
Rambley says he can't see behind the stage but you can see cameras watching you back there so Rambley lied. The Critter Cuff also activates a loud ringing that hurts Lloyd but you yourself didn't activate it so it must of been Rambley.
The arcade game Rambley Rush is the only time we see Salem used in anything and during the game you can see two squirrels in the background in love (a heart above both of them) even though the potion that they are supposedly effected with made by Salem is suppose to remove good feelings. Also there's a hidden area in that game that shows another Mollie in a cage instead of by her plane.
Rambley decapitates Mollie and doesn't seem to care. He also calls them "mascots" instead of his friends.
Right before entering the Ranglers Only area near the end of the game if you try to keep going straight Rambley will flat out refuse to let you pass.
Even the end song has some lore implications.
When he sings and asks if you were satisfied with the ride he gives you a yes or no option but when he asks about your guide (himself) he doesn't. He just says "I sure hope so." He also says happy feedback ensures he exists implying if guests don't give a positive feedback about him he will be destroyed.
While I do think that stuff is interesting, I'm pretty sure one of the things the creator of the game did confirm in a live stream is that Rambley isn't evil

@@ShadowDemon_4 Are we even sure that line is correct? It was veery garbled. it could have easily been "Hates Lloyd" instead of Hurts.
I feel like there being a second Mollie in a cage in the arcade game implies the existence of at least one other Mollie apart from the main one we encounter, whether that's an actual separate flesh and blood Mollie or perhaps another AI with her personality. I think there's still multiple venues to "reunite" Rambley with his friends though that might just mean having some friendly representation of those characters active in the park. I also find it interesting that there was an animatronic Mollie in use at some point, apparently, since you see her in the backroom of Salem's broken intro area.
You also bring up an interesting point that's been on my mind. You say these creatures would be expected to interact with guests and that would seem to be the case but... How intelligent are these creatures? Mollie can't even seem to speak apart from repeating things she's heard. WHAT are these creatures? Mutated animals? They don't entirely look the part of the mascots as we see them. Has whatever that's made them hostile also made them more animalistic or were they always that way?
What I'm getting at is, if you're going to replace people in suits with living mascots, you'd need them to fit the part BETTER than the aforementioned people in suits, right? Semi-sapient critters that lack the distinctive looks and personalities of the characters would be a step down, no? Not to mention a huge liability but that might be why things are the way they are.
All interesting things to think about
I have a theory that the mascots are mutated animals. They look too much like real animals and would explain the reason they have the natural insides.

Technically, someone already did a video using debug and you can see a nose/face under the bird beak when Molly opens the door. Couldn’t tell you why they don’t attack you on the train though.
As for Loyd, I think it is photo sensitivity when he tries to attack you he is staring directly into the lamp light

This theory at least coincides with the one line that caught my attention the most; "Your Critter Cuff is not yet able to resuscitate you!". First, why would the Critter Cuff need to have such a feature, and two, why would Rambley give you that warning before going backstage if he didn't know how bad the park had gotten, as he alleges? While I've been told that the creator has explicitly said that Rambley is not the bad guy, I still hold that Rambley knows a lot more than he lets on and is hiding things from the protagonist to try and keep their cooperation. And as some people have pointed out, there's enough gap in time between the player escaping the mascot and the door slamming shut to decapitate them that the action seems intentional.
Well yeah he's hiding things, hes lonely and wants you not to leave only admitting to the decay after seeing Mollie being aggressive and he couldn't see llyod back stage

Personally, I think the sound from the cuff was the built in heart monitor(which Rambley mentions). This was Ed's first up close encounter with one of the living mascots. His heartrate spiked in panic and it set off the alarm, which deterred Lloyd. By the time he gets chased by Mollie, he's able to keep his cool(enough to actually try fighting Mollie off, even if he loses because it's a death sequence), so the alarm doesn't go off & the cuff doesn't glow.

One strange detail that caught my eye in my latest playthrough was the generator room behind Salem's section of the railroad. More specifically all the random cables snaking between the floor and ceiling in that room look very out of place; why would those cables even be there to begin with? Shouldn't electrical cables be either behind the walls or run in conduits attached to the walls? The animatronic Mollie that jump-scares you as you enter that room is trapped behind a number of these cables as well as a random metal beam, which to me raises questions as to how that animatronic even got there in the first place, let alone why. At the back of the room there is a large statue of Finley that is also tangled in the strange cables, which again, makes me question how it got there.
It would make more sense if the Mollie animatronic and Finley statue were there first, and then the cables entangling them came later, as opposed to the cables being there first and someone going to the effort of getting these objects behind the cables at some point. Also strange is that there is a lot of dirt and debris on the ground around these cables, despite the fact that the walls and ceiling of the room room are not even damaged at all. It almost look as if the cables sprouted out of the floor. Which would mean something quite a bit stranger than killer mascot creatures is going on around here.
On a possibly unrelated note, Rambley never said how he actually intends to 'restore' the park. Does he actually have the means to repair the entry tunnel that collapsed behind us, or the other damaged buildings we see in the outdoor areas?

It might be important, but the thing that scares Lloyd away is the sound, not the light.
And because it's lions are feline... Idk. I just think the critter-cuff worked on Lloyd because this sound hurt his ears, when Mollie don't really have this problem.

Lloyd is a Interesting point in the franchise as there's 2 separate Plushies you can collect of him.
the Normal one at the Front gate (Rambley: Ew, Lloyd..)
and the Classic cartoon 1one from near the end past the security office entrance sitting on one of the shelves and just before Rambly cuts you off from going down that hall. (Rambly has a long complaint about this one that I don't think I can 1:1 this Quote, But its not him bein Narcissistic though as he Proceeds to ask where everyone else's were individually and by name)
So I have a Theory that Lloyd was the Original Poster guy For the Indigo Franchise.
"I don't get why we even have those. And why did they only make one of Lloyd?! Is it because he's the loudest?! I can be loud too! Where's my limited edition throwback plush?! Where's Mollie's!? Where's Finley's?! Give this mistake to a child and they'll cry."
im real excited to see more of Indigo Park. Personally i think Rambley's line about uniting his friends is very interesting thanks to the official animated version of the song on the RecD channel.
First off the animation is essentially the events of Chapter 1 but from Rambley's perspective and when it shows Edd's chase with Molly, rather than the door closing and beheading her, Rambley instead puts on a wizard hat and blasts the Mascot Molly with some blue magic. This spell reverts Molly to her normal self, her wings arnt as big, her eyes become white instead of black, and she's more cartony in appearance. This might imply Rambley is either unaware of the real harm he caused Molly or that he's in denial/grief because he just killed his best friend.
Secondly when he says the line about reuniting his friends it shows all four of the other characters. Sure Molly and Findley are of course Rambley's friends but Loyd and to me most notably Salem are also included. Sure you could kinda justify Loyd's inclusion, But why is Salem counted among Rambley's friends when she is the villain character of the group?

Indigo Park has some minor flaws, but it has potential. It’s a great game, and it’s something that Mascot Horror needed.

My theory for the cuff hurting loyd and not molli, is that rambley is connected to the cuff in someway. Sense he is the only ai active, he could use it to protect the player from loyd.
When know that Rambley doesn't like loyd, while he considered mollie as a friend, and wouldn't want to hurt her.
However Rambley says he could not see whats going on in the backstage. The two ways this theory can work is if 1. He's lying, or 2. Through the cuffs, he can identify different mascots.

@ChilliDaCat this is the one thing I want to believe for sure. But do you know 100% that uniquegeese isn't lying to you? He may get a question that might call for an answer but he may want to lie to keep it a secret.

@@ChilliDaCat Just because an AI is not Evil does not preclude the possibility that it will do what it can to achieve its goal. Such as manipulating someone to do things for them when they can't. I wouldn't classify this as Evil but simply following their own programming and anything else that they have learned. Being Evil indicates morality that I'm unsure can be applied to robots or AI's. Just my first thoughts after seeing your comment, at least. ^_^

I think Salem was the original Mascot before Rambly took over and via Rambly's take over he caused all the other Mascots to rebel or become feral against humans.

I think Lloyd makes more sense considering the picture at the beginning of the train ride and the golden statue at back stage that was maybe been replaced by the entrance statue

Ya got something that need to be pointed out. As you made a single Mistake when it comes to the Mascots. The Blood on them, is not blood of their victims. Remember it has been 8 years sense the park has been shut down and a abandoned. And the blood is situated more on their arms and legs and less on their hands or mouths. Indicating that these are not blood from say hunting. But more like open wounds or sores festering. Leaving a trail of nasty decaying flesh or possibly even self harm.
So ya, it wouldn't be the blood of their victims.

What I find interesting is that Rambley seemed to have been the one to shut the door on Molly’s neck and then later said he can’t wait about his friends being united. I may be wrong here but I’m thinking it’s like a Poppy Playtime situation in where the Rambley AI kills off the characters one by one to create a suitable body for him to manifest or something.

Maybe he’s referring to AI versions of his friends. There was a Molly animatronic in one area.
Well so, in the official music video for the Rambley Review we can see events from Rambley’s point of view. He believes that Molly in under a spell from Salem, and all he did was cure it
@@13thfullmoon3 atp we’re pretty sure there’s an ai and a physical form of all the mascots, so Rambley is probably talking about all his AI friends being reunited. Maybe, like Rambley was only at the front of the park until we opened the gate, the other AIs are only in their areas of the park and we free them along the way.

During the train ride in Salem's area you find old modes of Molly and Finley wrapped in metal like a cage. This may just be to show this area in neglected or it could have more symbolize to their fates.
I absolutely love this video and I think it’s likely that the mascots were acting up before the park closed but I also love the idea that the reason Lloyd is able to be deterred by the critter cuff is because rambley wanted a way to annoy Lloyd and make him miserable 😂

It's interesting what's shown in Chapter 1 of Indigo Park that possibly led to the park's shutdown. With us not getting a proper introduction to Salem on Rambley's Railroad could possibly be hinting at Salem having to do something with the park's shutdown.

The thing is, he never referred the live mascots as his friends. In the train ride he (the ai) talked to the cut-outs as if they are his real friends and lloyd. And it weird that they seem to replied not like an audio tape on loop.. his real friends are other AI characters. Im calling it!

My theory as to why loyd was scared off is that the critter cuff was emitting a high pitched noise and loyd, as a lion/big cat, probably has sensitive hearing. Idk I could be wrong, I'm just taking what Ik about our friendly felines lol.
That isn't so much a theory as it is literally the answer as you can actually hear the high pitched noise the band is emitting when Lloyd attacks.

Thinking about it, she only attacks you once you get into a part of the park that ONLY STAFF should be able to access. Remember how you have to enter a code and swipe your Critter Cuff to reach the final confrontation with Mollie? She doesn't attack you at any other time because up until that point, she could assume you were like any other guest. Getting this deep into Mollie's play area proved that you had some level of staff access, and thus, that you were a part of the Indigo Park staff.

When Lloyd attacks Ed, the critter cuff is active and being used (so whatever it uses to open the door is active) and you can see Lloyd jump away when the critter cuff is “pointed” at him. You can also hear a high-pitched sound during the attack, which is probably from the critter cuff.
When Molly attacks Ed, the high-pitched sound is nonexistent (because the critter cuff is not being used) and she does not retreat.
Ooo interesting. If there was sound there I completely missed it whoops. I just remembered UniqueGeese pointing out the glowing of the wristband. It would be weird if the sound didn't bother Lloyd despite the proximity for a few seconds though. Pretty delayed reaction
There's a lot of possibilities, I think. I'm a little confused if Salem is one of Rambley's friends, first of all. As Rambley says the park is full of his friends (And Lloyd). So Lloyd isn't a friend. Does that mean Salem is? He didn't say And Salem. If so, why does the arcade game portray her as a villain?
But it seems as if Salem is supposed to be a villain, and that Rambley doesn't approve of the live mascots. So why doesn't Rambley dislike her more?
I'm sort of left questioning what the Rambley AI is and whose side is he on?
It seems to me he's very possibly the villain. And yet, with no body, he couldn't do most of the things he would need to do to get this result.
So is Rambley actually Atlas (Bioshock reference) and a front for Salem, and that's why not much is being said? He complaints about the Lloyd plush are ambiguous enough that he could be either.
I don't know who else Rambley could be, but he needs to have some real world help other than you.
Also thoughts on the "blood." Why is Lloyd still bloody after 8 years? He would have washed himself. Unless there are hostages on hand slowly being fed to him. Speaking of which, what are these Mascots eating?
If, say, they were being fed food appropriate to being an animal, cats, including lions, are strict carnivores. If you chucked a bloody hunk of meat at Lloyd he'd get just as bloody from his daily meal as he would from attacking people. So I'm not sure Lloyd's killed anyone.
Side thought for Chapter 2: How would Salem's potions work with Finley who is huge and in a giant water area? She can't just throw stuff on him easily (nor could anyone else). Does that mean the shy Finley will have useful knowledge for us and be more himself? If not, maybe we'll find more of what was done to them all?

The cuff only let out a high pitched noise because Ed was using it to open a door at the time Lloyd attacked. People are misunderstanding it as it activating when Lloyd got too close when the real cause was the doorlock.

I just had a thought. What if the former mascot-wearing employees are in fact still in the park? Instead of paying them or creating new versions, the park fused them with real creatures. We don't know how long ago the recording of the two former employees was recorded. It could have been recorded the day the park was abandoned. It could be that rather than let their trained employees leave, the park operators decided to replace them with mascots that would never leave AND never actually needed to be paid. The employees are now angry at being mistreated and exploited to save a buck so they attack anyone they see. THAT is why the park was abandoned.
that's basically almost identical to the plot of poppy playtime but ok (except in poppy playtime it's children and employees instead of just employees)

Completely pointless bit of trivia, But considering the exact amount of time that's passed since the last visitor, And the date on the newspaper, The events of the first chapter take place on October 25th 2023.
The newspaper tells us that the park evac happened on the 22nd of October 2015. The exact amount of time Rambly tells us is 8 years and 5 days. Removing 2 days to account for leap years gives us the answer of exactly when the game takes place.

so about the cuff; if you watch the unique geese stream and pay attention in the game, since there are a LOT of audio clues and eastereggs, the cuff is more like a dogwhistle at that time and let's out a high frequency sound.

Hey ID I got a theory for you that I just thought of so Henry's last name could actually be Schmidt like in the fnaf movie and mrs afton could be either a sibling(by blood or by in-law)or a cousin to henry hence why Michael uses Schmidt because that's his middle name and no one knows him as mike Schmidt, and it also explains why Henry's viewed as an uncle to the afton kids and why charlie calls William uncle because they're most likely brothers-in-law anyways just a theory of mine let me know if you get this

It's been theorized that Lloyd might have been the more popular mascot before Rambley. Comparisons have been made to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.
I think the Administrative AI (presenting as Rambley) is the true antagonist. It literally states at the end that it needs human authorisation to do anything. This means it NEEDs the player alive, not that it cares about the player or has his best interests at heart.
The lyrics in the Rambley Revue also state that the Administrative AI has an opinion of what Indigo Park should be. That doesn't mean that its vision is good for anyone else... but because of the human failsafe, it can't make that vision a reality without the player's help.
Now what if the other AI (characters) are rebelling against the Administrative AI because it wants to do evil things? What if it started hurting people or putting guests in dangerous situations, so they started attacking people to get the Park deserted, thus depriving the Administrative AI of the human authorisation it needed to accomplish its goals? Maybe they're watching the player to see if he's actually going to go along with the Administrative AI, and then only attack when they decide that he is... because one more dead human is a far better outcome than what would happen if the Administrative AI achieved its goals....
As a side theory to go along with this, it's possible the unmet skunk character found a way to invade or take over the Administrative AI and the TRUE Rambley could be stuck inside her original body somewhere in the park. IDK... we'll find out if she hated Lloyd, which could explain "Rambley's" shift in attitude toward him.

I assume the reason as to why the critter cuff affected Loyd and not Mollie was because Loyd pulled the Ed's hand and Critter Cuff away from the door as it was giving off a signal to open said door which in turn directed the signal towards Loyd instead.
Also I might be wrong about this but if I remember correctly after the last encounter with Loyd you have to use the Critter Cuff on the door again because Ed hadn't opened it the first time.

While game theory may not be completely correct on everything, part of their theory with Salem being a sort of hero and her game being a metaphor really struck out to me. I really hope we get more info on her because she strikes me as somewhat *very* important.
And in Tericho's theory about Finley, I find it interesting that they changed the logo and added safe-guards. Also Finley made Ed uneasy.
I think the shutdown of the park was definitely something to do with either Salem or Finley, though maybe Salem's was more well-intended if that's the case.
Finley is *massive* and honestly a sea serpent could scare kids just as much as Lloyd could. Rambley even says "don't tap the glass, you never know what lies beneath the surface." it's entirely possible Finley was somewhat aggressive? The shut-down of the park could be possibly due to a massive flood honestly.
I'm no good theorist whatsoever just some food for thought :3
The advice on the death screen doesn't actually align with the gameplay, as the chase acene doesn't actually involve her luring you towards her as a mechanic. The way to lose is by going the wrong direction, or not going the right way to singular exits before she catches you. So that *would* make sense for Mollie's dialogue to be what she was told, when she was abused.

I don't think Lloyd attacked us. His entire demeanor is really strange. He's clumsy. He seems afraid of us. He tries to walk on two legs, but can't. When he tries to pounce on us, he scoots back into the shadows after failing but he's not growling or anything. When he grabs us, he grabs our arm, not pinning us down. He grabs our arm and turns us towards him. Like he's trying to get our attention somehow, but before he can try to communicate (which he probably can't) he collapses and writhes in pain from the sound of the Critter Cuff. He could have just pounced on us, but he doesn't. He literally grabs our arm, pulls us to face him, and then raises his paw with his mouth open before the sound emits. But that doesn't mean he was trying to attack us, because he did have time to swipe or bite at us before the sound went off. It makes a lot more sense if he was trying to talk to us, but this one cannot talk, just like how Mollie can only talk through mimicry. It also happens as we're leaving him, not at the very back of his area. He makes very little attempt to attack us as we go into his area.
I think the reason the Cuff makes a sound for Lloyd and not Mollie is very simple: there's a camera right behind you, so Rambley can see you.
I also think it's really like, interesting how Lloyd and Mollie are clearly opposite their personalities. Monster Lloyd is timid, shy, silent, and possibly asking us for help. Monster Mollie is cunning and precise, stalking us for a long time before actually attacking. I wonder if this will hold true for the others?

I wonder if it's going to turn out that they managed to make human "mascots." As in, the same kind of 'mascots' as Lloyd and Molly... except human.
Because it seems not completely impossible- and that's definitely something that could result in things tipping over from "potentially dangerous creatures, not very popular or smart" to "no one can get in, nothing can get out, and that includes information- or else."
One kid goes missing, gets 'replaced,' only to lash out violently, or suffer a problem very, very specific to the mascots.
Or, something about it just gives Salem another reason to lash out- "why do THEY get special treatment? Why aren't WE 'rsal people' if they are?"
Villainous corporations hoisting themselves by their own petard is basically a hallmark of the mascot horror genre.
Analogy for Endstage Capitalism that they are, it's practically inevitable.

Something interesting is also the mascots eyes- in the arcade game you see Molly’s turn yellow in the irises similar to both Lloyd and Molly irl where they have pitch black eyes w yellow irises. In the cardboard cutout you can see that at least Lloyd doesn’t have that as his eyes are blue. Just an interesting thing I noticed during the video
off topic: been watching a couple of theories like this. i like how ppl just assume that rambly can see even though he says he can't. sure there could be a possibility. but one vid i saw pointed out that the statue of isaacs head follows u. usually means a camera. rambly doesnt know ur there yet. that means something else CAN see u. which makes it really creepy to think about. so those cameras are connected to someone or something else in the park. imo, there are different grids of cameras that different ais have connections too. wonder if its an ai salem or an ai lloyd. the lloyd statue was replaced after all beside isaac. both the statue and backstage revolve around lloyd afterall.
ppl are also saying that the mascot lloyd turns u around before doing anything. saying he was trying to communicate with u before the cuff activates. i can buy that as if he really wanted to, could have attacked while ur backs turned. but chose not to.

My theory is that the mascots are mutated animals because their looks differ from their cartoon design and they look too much like real animals. I think that Rambley as the park's AI was used to keep the mascots under control. We have seen how Lloyd reacted extremely sensitive to high pitched frequences from the critter cuff. Perhaps Rambley emitted similar frequences to keep them docile until Salem found out that the park had blind spots that were outside of Rambley's surveillance and figured out how to block or neutralize the frequences. So her "potion" to turn Mollie evil was just a countermeasure to Rambley's control and once the AI lost control over the mascots, they fought back against their abusers and went into hiding for years.

A vibe I get from all of these mascot horror games is the dark side of being known aka a celebrity. You're just existing and everyone knows you and has an opinion usually negative because you've got more than they'll ever see in their lifetime. We all look a celebrities as something to attain, but I think these games do a wonderful job at exemplifying why humans cannot handle having nice things on a pedestal without destroying them. At the end of the day the villain in all of these games is human curiosity or human jealousy ruining lives. I'm no celebrity apologist, but life is an ugly grey, and these games show us that. Rambly's abandonment issues seem to stem from losing celebrity and fading into nothing. I have a feeling he's gonna split very soon and show us his ugly side.

Here's something I noticed. Isn't it a might odd that Rambley the Raccoon, the mascot of the park, doesn’t have his own animatronic? I can't help but wonder if perhaps Rambley had an animatronic in the past, but he did something bad and was punished by having his consciousness put into the computer. Adding onto that, Rambley may just want our help to gain access to his animatronic body if it's still around since he can't do much without human authorization.
In regards to Molly Macaw, I actually have two possible theories about her. Remember how we stumble upon another animatronic of her, possible the first one, broken down and it says "Not Rambley. He hurt Lloyd, he hurt Lloyd, he hurt Lloyd"? Well that can be taken in one or two ways. First, that Molly Macaw animatronic was trying to reveal that Rambley(who may or may not have been an animatronic back then) was the one who attacked Lloyd. And in his efforts to keep him quiet Rambley dispatched the first Molly Macaw animatronic and got the new, more sinister edition. The second idea is that the first Molly saw someone else hurt Llyod and frame Rambley. And Molly was trying to explain it wasn't Rambley who hurt Lloyd but someone else. In which case that someone else may have been the one to wreck that first Molly Macaw animatronic.
In all it comes down to two possibilities. Either we're being played by Rambley or Rambley is a pawn in something far worse.
None of the mascots that attack are actually animatronics according to the creator, but otherwise interesting
Re: Rambley's friends being reunited, I don't know how well Rambley understands what's going on in the park. This might be a stretch, but look at the official music video for Rambley Review. It shows photos of your journey through the park with Rambley, but when it gets to the final chase with Molly she doesn't get killed - instead, Rambley is there wearing a Wizard hat and casts a spell to turn Molly friendly again. I'm not saying Rambley thinks that's what happened, but if he ends up being delusional, or not understanding the concept of death, or something like that, this could be a hint.
