I was thinking through with you how to crossover when behind that road crew. maybe next time try to veer right and come at it at more of an obtuse angle, more perpendicular vs. parallel to the pile of sand/gravel. Really enjoying this series, I visited iceland about 6 years ago and this is bringing back a lot of fond memories.
🇦🇺 Oz here...I still cannot believe how few trees there are in Iceland, amazing, but that doesn't detract from the stark beauty of the country. Stay well and ride safe mate. Cheers...🦘🤙🇦🇺

My goodness Runa, what grand drone footage you recorded on this day, truly spectacular scenery. Now some months on from this trip, I am sure you are much better at crossing those little ridges of dirt, just move away from them a bit, slow a little bit and cross over at a greater angle, maybe even pull a little wheelie to get the front wheel up & over the ridge (if you are doing wheelies now ? 😁 ) A sore wrist just reminds you that you had an adventurous day. I have broken both wrists, at different times, once doing a wheel stand that went on far too long and I flipped it, once avoiding a kangaroo, all good fun ! This must have been a great ride for you, such memories forever. Well done on a terrific adventure and videos. 🦘🦘🦘😄👍👍
Ik hope your wrist didn't bother you too much. So gratefull you let this peace in your video. It shows us like we really are. We all make mistakes, and that what makes us human beings
Paper map review at the end is great to follow along for reference! Hope your wrist recovered fully. As a health care provider you should know motorcycle riding is dangerous! Hello from a Paramedic (and rider) in 🇨🇦 ! 😉
Hi, Runa you are lucky to meet Hjörtur on this part of the road, he is a legend and a fellow countryman. I'm pretty sure that he has driven all the roads and trails that can be found in Iceland 🙂
Yes, I was very lucky! I got so many good advices from him on where to go 😊 a Great riding company too with a lot of knowledge about the history of places!

Bra video, som vanligt. Jag "tänkte på svenska", trodde det var vänsterbenet/vristen som fastnade under hojen som smärtade, men härligt att se att du skrattar och är positiv trots ont i handleden.

You still need to come and tour South Africa, Zimbabwe Botswana and Namibia, I believe you would love it, it's a lot safer than what people want you to believe and with the money exchange rate you would have a lot of money to spend. Love and blessings from South Africa.🤗🤗🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Someone may have already mentioned it, but it looked like you hit the soft berm at too shallow of an angle and it grabbed the wheel. Try hitting it more head on. Any time your changing elevation, ruts, berms, curbs. Another thing I've noticed in your other videos on gravel, is maybe try loosening up your grip a little. A deathgrip on the bars will actually fight the wheel trying to go straight. I enjoy your videos. Makes me wish I had more than a week a year for bike trips.
Definitely an "A for adventure". The time and effort put in to capturing those incredible images was well worth it, but I hope the hand didn't hurt too much the next day 😅
Seeing you rummaging in your med bag, sorry you took the fall, we all do it now and again, nothing serious I hope. It reminded me to check mine, it’s been a while.

Hello, good afternoon 👋 Runa, I hope the injuries are not serious and thank you very much for your videos, which are translated into automatic Spanish, how Noraly, ok 👍👌
Hello Runa, you did it again 🤗magic and epic pictures of nature that doesn’t look as if taken on earth. So beautiful and breathtaking. No words can describe the stunning views you saw. 👌🏻Sandy roads are also not our favor, sorry you and Loki went down and we are hoping that your wrist was much better the next day. See you in the next video. 🤗🙋♀️🙋♂️🏍️🏍️
Those drone shots were amazing. Speedy recovery on the wrist. You did well to carry on the ride but I feel your friend should have slowed down so you didn't feel the need to keep up.
we all learn, riding in loose gravel and sand, stay in the higher gears in low revs, stay standing, use the back brake when slowing, and when crossing those sort of banks come in at more of a straighter angle so that you go over it instead of across it with the front wheel, then the tyre won't go sideways making you drop it, stay safe Runa
Me and my girlfriend are going this summer, it's so great to see not only places to visit but also conditions of the roads, campingsites and how you handle the crappy parts of road, since we both are unexperienced on gavel as well. Thank you!
HI Runa , great content . Really like your down-to-earth comments. Loving the videos. When crossing the dirt behind the road crew, you need to come at it straighter, head on. Not parallel. Same as going over a log or tree branch. Trying to go over it at an angle is not good. As you found out. Hope you wrist is OK. 👍🏻
Hey there, all the best to ur hand. I really like the calm way of ur talking/speech/voice over. And yes, ISL is wonderful! How do u compare ISL prices (e.g. Coffee, accomodation, Meals,… ) to Norway? For me as being german, its like double the prices, unfortunately…
Norwegian and Icelandic prices are very similar! Both are expensive, unfortunately. Norway is just getting worse and worse each month like most countries I guess!
Really enjoyed your trip today great drone footage bad luck with your tumble it was a high ridge to get across too close to the grader and too sharp of an angle I hope your wrist is not too painful looking forward to the next one
Hi, I have watched several of your video, they are quite amazing and beautiful in landscape. As a fresh fish who knows nothing about motorcycle before, i am curious about the model of the motorcycle you used in these video or what kind of motorcycle are suitble for a fresh motor trip(easy control, ecnomic friendly and good looking) .
Awesome video! Beautiful scenery as well. Tip, always hit those berms at 90’ straight on as possible. Try not to parallel it. I hope your wrist has healed well. That can be painful on a bike, especially off Tarmac. I am looking forward to your next video. Best!
Found your latest Iceland video (probably because we've watched other Iceland videos lately), so had to go back and watch your seasons from the beginning. I was pretty surprised you switched your bike and all your gear by the time you got from Spain to second Norway trip. Be interesting to know what prompted all that. I know most people probably wouldn't switch from a 790 ADV R to the T700, so be interesting to hear your take on it. Looking forward to more trips. I vote for more ride scenery and bike noises. 😉
Hey there! It looks more drastic than it is! The GS was not my bike, I just borrowed it for the trip in Spain 😊 I had my KTM at home, and by the end of my trip in Norway in 2021 I decided I wanted a different bike - I struggled with the ergonomics of the 790. After taking the t7 for a test ride I knew right away this was going to be my next bike, and I used that for the 2022 season and will probably use it this season as well 😊 So many good motorcycles to choose from though, it's fun to try different ones!
Thank you for your wonderful videos! 😃 It's a great pleasure. But I have a question: every time I see that someone got a fur on the seat I'm wondering - when it's wet - doesn't one get a terribly wet a...? 😳😅😅😅
I love your videos, we went to Iceland last year, and the vids bring back such nice memories. I like you rway of commenting, you don't use over the top words like "super" "epic" "awesome " Waaaaw" etc.... what a relief to hear. Keep up the good work and stay safe. Grts Danny
hi Runa.Just watched your new vlog. What a relaxing way to start the weekend after a week full of work. Nice shots and good sound. Hope your wrist heals quick. Ride free and safe.
Loving to watch your trip so far. Don't worry about dropping your bike, it is a part of riding. I drove Kjölur and a side trail called Stórisandur last summer and I was surprised even as a local Icelander to see how much there was to explore in the area. Will be waiting for your next episode and next adventure.
I'm sure one could travel in Iceland for years and still explore new things all the time! I was so fascinated by how fast the terrain changed; one moment it's all green and lush and the next there is not any vegetation in sight! LOVED it 😄
Nice video, sorry for your wrist injury. I saw you took the phone off the mount (is it a QuadLock?) was this because the terrain was too rough and you risked damaging the phone/mount? Also I noticed you did not disable ABS when driving off-road, was that intentional? Keep up the good work!
Hi Andrea! Unfortunately the Quadlock bracket that was attached on the back of my phone that I used as GPS came lose at the crash! Until then it had worked really well 😊 I sometimes forget to disable ABS mode as it turns on automatically every time I turn off the bike. Honestly have note noticed much of a different but that's probably just cause I am not experienced enough 😊
Excellent video 📹, super drone footage too 👌. And you experienced the 'Tenere Topple!'...and handled it well 👍. Hope your wrist isn't too painful 🙏 Cheers, Steve
Thanks for choosing Thursday 😉 I have to be somewhere tonight but before i go to bed i will watch this episode, like to have a beer after a long ride (yes i'm gone with one of my bikes). When you ever be in the Netherlands contact me, i will take you to lunch (or diner if it's night time). end of June begin July and from 15 September i'm on a trip myself.
the important thing is to keep up the enthusiasm, I always pray that I will be healthy, always happy, stay focused with positive thinking that is done every day, is running now
Another awesome video Runa, sorry about your wrist☹Its an awful thing to happen and makes riding a bike very difficult, I hope it will heal soon! Some incredible scenery once again, Iceland is just spectacular👌
