After Akira died, I no longer felt motivated to do anything anymore. Even though I never met him, he felt like family to me, and his characters would always give me strength, happiness, courage and an inspiration that I’ll never forget. On the day I found out Akira died, I wanted to curl up and die so I could see him in the land of the kais. I didn’t want to do anything, and I was left with shock and sadness as I’m sure we all did. With Akira gone, I felt like i had no more purpose in life, and that with my only inspiration gone, that I had nothing else left to lose. Mind you, I also found out about his death on my birthday too. To see what an impact he had on everyone even after his death brought me to tears. I then decided to watch every single Akira Toriyama tribute that i could find, and every night I would lie in bed questioning life and crying about Akira’s death. I don’t know you, but I can really relate to your feelings here. Akira Toriyama and his character’s formed my whole life, and he will continue to inspire others in the future through all his art and stories. Thank you for your comment Kanyon, I needed to see this. Its been over 20 years since i saw the SSJ2 transformation that Gohan pulled off against Cell. The way they showed the raw emotion Gohan had after he exploded with anger WITH this song playing sent chills down my spine and brought a tear to my eye. Now, 36 years old, it still does the same to this day. Thanks for bringing the fire!!!
The tears floating in his aura was the icing on the cake for me. Some anger moves you to tears, and it is usually a righteous anger at an injustice. Something you just can't let stand.
Nahh, this theme only suits the gohan which holded back against his enemies, whom everyone wanted to let go and unleash his power and fury and that's only Ssj2 gohan Beast Gohan is a totally different person he doesn't holds back like his younger self he unleashes his power without any 2nd thought.....

Since 2010 I have desperately wanted a QUALITY remix of one of Gohan's Themes and never got it. And with Dragon Ball Super coming and making me lose interest in Dragon Ball and push me to kinda hate what the series became. But 3:41 came along and goosebumps shredded though my skin and made me love the series all over again; a decade and some years later and I finally got that Gohan Theme I've been waiting for!!

There’s just SO MUCH heart in the Dragon Ball story and it is the music that communicates that heart. Yeah I believe that it may have been used for the original broadcast either when Gohan beat the hell out of Frieza in his 2nd form, or when he returned after Frieza tried to destroy namek and Goku had been forced underground for an episode. I feel like I saw it on TV when I was a kid but it could just be some kind of mandela effect haha. However, we do know that when funimation did their countless remasters they changed the placing of a lot of the Faulconer music. Gohan destroying the Cell jrs is definitely the definitive moment for Gohan fights Frieza tho and it was awesome :D I will be doing a version of it by itself soon! Thank you very much man! I love how the image for it is just a collection of all the times gohan was badass minus non-canon times like boujack unbound. SSJ2, Ultimate, and Beast.
Gohan is my favorite character but i feel like he could have become an incredible villain. Every time he pushed beyond his limits wasn't because he wanted too or was trying too, it was literally his mind breaking and his anger causing him to snap. that could have been a great story about him snapping one of those times and just seeing everything as a target friend and foe alike, and just staying that way quote TeamFourStar Gohan "I now have a taste for blood!" "i'm not done ripping the wings off this butterfly" -to Cell.

Yes! There’s pureness, emotion, but sadness that could turn to anger if pushed too far but it always remains characteristic of Gohan 🎵

Gohan is my favorite character but i feel like he could have become an incredible villain.
Every time he pushed beyond his limits wasn't because he wanted too or was trying too, it was literally his mind breaking and his anger causing him to snap.
that could have been a great story about him snapping one of those times and just seeing everything as a target friend and foe alike, and just staying that way

Interesting point! He could have gone down that path in the future but there’s a real pureness to Gohan that probably prevents that darkness from seeping in
