- Guitar God Andy LaRocque speak to Jason in a 1st interview for 2024 about his life as a musicians from when he started to learn how to play the guitar.
He also explains what guitars he uses and has used and equipment, along with favour album by King Diamond.
Andy also gives me a brief inset to his time in Death, and various projects like illWill and other bands he's worked with.
So metal heads it back crack open a beer and enjoy this awesome interview by one of the most underrated guitarist of all time in the metal scene, certainly a demi-god in my opinion

70 items?? That's respectable...I'd love to see your collection. I've loved King Diamond since I first heard The Dark Sides at my friend Joey's house...
My prized KD piece is a fabric security/bouncer sticker from the 89 Conspiracy tour...it's a blue line work on a white background with the image of Dr Landau entering the family cemetery. I got it on eBay for a fairly cheap price. It's my favorite piece because it's from the Phantasy Theater in Lakewood...Nov 89. My 1st KD show...so to find a relic from that very show all these years later was a real treasure!

Its really hard to be a King Diamond Fan these days. I thought years ago that the Institute was finished when masquarade came out, 5 years later nothing is finished and we have to wait more years to eventually get something from King. Hard times to be a Fan in the last 17 years.

I grew up on mercyful but I prefer king diamond I reserved 2 weeks vaca in case he was touring last freakn yr I love the institute concept and that single he put out. I also like that jackyl of Salzburg tune from mercyful tho !!

This interview was conducted in 2024, and they still don't have songs finished? Andy must have a lot of patience with King, who went from a prolific writer to metal's version of Axl Rose.
