Atrophy are one of the most underrated thrash bands from the classic era of the late 80's and early 90s. The song "Violent by Nature" is a classic. An anthem from the era.

Now that Crimson Glory is back. Witherfall and Crimson Glory tour would be excellent! One can hope anyways.

At war with Satan (the song) , is the pinnacle of the early venom sound. then the second coming stuff Cast in Stone, and Resurrection had some absolute bangers in it. i really just don't like Possessed, other than the title song and maybe Too Loud for the Crowd.

i agree , that the corpsepainted bands, should've been called cult metal, or grim metal. i respect Venom as the first black metal band . is mayhem, black metal? yes, but so is venom.

I have been a huge ANVIL fan since 1982 - I’ve seen them several times ……. I own all their albums ……. This however - I listened several times …… 1 track BLIND RAGE : the rest is absolutely just mailed in bar room filler garbage ……. Extreme disappointment

When it comes to how I'd define Evildead as a band in comparison to other bands? I'd say DRI but with better musicianship. I say that because even though Evildead are considered a Thrash band I've always considered them more on the Crossover side. Especially Phil's vocals. I love every Evildead album but I consider Annihilation Of Civilization a perfect album and the band's best. I RARELY rate albums that highly. VERY few albums I consider perfect but Annihilation Of Civilization is one of them. 5/5 or 10/10 🤘

Albert Gonzales is a killer guitarist and songwriter. He was also in Death on the Spiritual Healing tour taking James Murphy's place who played on the album.🤘Juan is an awesome guitarist and songwriter as well. Albert and Juan are an amazing guitar duo. 🎸🤘New Evildead album Toxic Grace has the best production of all Evildead albums imo.🤘

Just found your channel a couple of days ago. Great review and excellent band. I agree with you that you can hear a Marillion, maybe even IQ, influence on the early releases. However, I could hear more of an influence from early Saga than Dream Theater; the band has gotten heavier as it has matured and on recent releases I can hear the Dream Theater influence. I'm a fan of releases in a jewelcase, and this one seems to be out as a Digipak. So, for now, I'll wait for a repress that hopefully will come out in a jewelcase. Either way Ivanhoe is a great band with a solid catalog that needs support from fans of the genre.

It's annoying when people don't listen properly to the music and make stupid comparisons. Especially the reviews that only pick 3 favourite songs and skip the rest . And the ones who break down each instrument when they know nothing about the band. Also the ones who discover a band and won't take the time to check back catalogue!
