Personally I don’t find anything wrong with the all black cast at all ,especially due to the fact that we’re the minority in general. Also for a Netflix show with only 1 season atm it wasn’t executed horribly at all. it’s not a movie or was intended to be jolly through its entirety, it showed the premise of what their working towards and ofc there’s conflict for it to be relateable for viewers and to connect the characters. I wouldn’t even blame the writing because there’s a lot of unexplained elements of the series so a season 2 would be necessary for the limitation on budget and episode run time I think they did great and got they’re point across, good storylines always provide conflict everyone doesn’t live a perfect life plus that doesn’t mean they won’t get a happy ending eventually. they have “bad lives” to give them an urgency to fulfill their purpose and goals any story can do this , but at the end of the day it’s your opinion but it’s not a horrible show to each it’s own

A black guy complaining about too much black people in a superhero tv. He really said casting all black people. He legit didn’t watch the tv show. 2 out of 3 characters hade pretty good lives until they ended up with powers. One was a nurse and another one was getting engaged. This show has been in the top 3 for weeks now. It’s definitely getting a season 2. Next time maybe finish watching the show
I’m not sure what you’re on about that it’s a bad thing the show has a mostly black cast. Besides, if you’re paying attention (and you took Biology 101) you’ll realize why this makes sense. That said, the show worked for me.
If your opening line is that it is an entire black cast, then you obviously didn't watch the show. Which would account for your negative comments (I was going to use the word review, but you have said absolutely nothing of worth about the series).
The issue isn't that it's majority black cast, the issue is that the black victim mentality spoils the whole story line... It's as if they are the only ones that have been persecuted and that the white racism is completely fine....

I actually enjoyed pretty much the entire show even tho I found it fairly predictable.. however when Michael's fiance died at the end from a stray bullet when she was 50+ meters away from the gunshot, after finally finding out the truth about his vision, I was over it. I hated that, it was lazy and stupid and now I don't even care about season 2

It’s kinda like the American Tuskegee experiment. In real life sickle cell affects mostly Black people. I said mostly. Anyway, the show creator used that medical FACT as the reason why the characters are Black. The show is the #1 or #2 watched show on Netflix so people are digging it. If it’s not this guy’s cup of tea 🍵. No worries.

@Whoaaaa___ first off ultra man rising is a one off movie with a clear plot and tells a pretty good lesson about life and family. How could you not like it? If you watch My full reviews on anything you'd see why. Supacell honestly just isn't a good show. It's fine that you like it, but it goes much deeper than you just enjoying it. As someone who actually works In the industry I'm able to see all the problems the show has and it follows all the same generic points of other superhero shows but does a poor job of executing any of it. And it's another one of your typical (white men bad show) it's over saturated. The only interesting part of the show is the fact that they all have powers because of sickle cells which I mean is cool and all but the rest of the show is so predictable, and it has really bad writing. But hey if you enjoyed it great I might even be able to reccomend some other shows if you really enjoyed supacell so much. There's plenty of others just like it.

But I mean if you aren't into different opinions than yours and aren't willing to listen to real criticism this probably isn't the channel for you. You might want to look for a channel who loves everything. That's the issue with people today they can't take criticism especially when it's needed.

Also you said that black ppl only having powers in the show was weird when there are so many shows which just white heroes. There is nothing wrong with that but when watching those shows I personally did not attribute anything to color so why should you attribute this show's characters to their color

It's not saying 'all white ppl bad' it's showing black ppls oppression and an ongoing problem in the Black community where black ppl cannot even defend their own ppl from oppression (shown by the hooded ppl also being black and think they are superior to the ppl being taken in) when a lot white ppl would never do that to their own ppl
It's also calling out black ppl on their own antibrotherly behaviours. The fact that you only picked out the 'white ppl are evil concept' is so reaching
Also south London has a mass population of black ppl and black ppl are also the main victims of sickle cell so obviously all the MCs were black. They even added a mixed guy for some inclusivity
Plus not all the white ppl in the movie were bad there were a lot of good white ppl in case you did not notice
Last point... as I was typing I remembered a white ppl are evil series... squid game... if you don't like this series but you like squid games when it has the same white rich ppl are evil concept.. maybe there's some unchecked internal racism or some discomfort you have with black ppl expressing their problems and the way they feel about them

But everything they wanted to execute with supacell was executed perfectly in my opinion

That's the point of the show. Glad you enjoyed the show though. But it goes much deeper than me just not liking the show? Show is terrible.. the opening scene was such a "white devil" type scene. This kind of show only creates a racial divide.

Like I live in Europe and I have never had anything against white ppl but my experiences here made me to start reminding myself everyday that not all white ppl are as evil as this

It's pointing fingers also at black ppl who don't stand up for each other as shown by the hooded ones being black and attacking theyre fellow 'brothers'
Plus I was thinking and I realised that squid game also had a white devil concept but many ppl liked it. Is it because the victims in supacell are black ppl which is much more common to see that the white devil concept in supacell irritates them?

No, seriously, it’s such a good show and the reason why they won’t let them win because it shows the reality of life I get it some people want to get away from reality while watching shows, but sometimes you need the truth and the truth is not what everyone always wants and I think the black cast is really goodand we need more shows like this. Also, when are they dropping season two I am so excited.😂❤ much love people have their own opinions
