- Accufab CTB96-98 1650cfm single blade throttle body install on a v10 6.8L Ford Excursion! This is the same Throttle body for the 5.4l supercharged mustang. Similar to the F150 harley davidson edition, but a little different throttle cam.
Update #1- • Stretched throttle cab... - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
I am definitely keeping this mod in mind.
Mainly helps the off idle performance. I cannot say that is helped the maximum power, but my throttle body was damaged anyway
Double check the pcv valve. It will cause the file issue aswell
Good info, I have found it is more often the hose to the PCV valve instead of the valve itself, or the evap purge valve hose that goes to the back of the intake elbow
Idea for your switches and USB plug, get a small pvc pipe that could be cut into four pieces, all slightly angled if needed/wanted, then mount them through the cut outs essentially angling the lights slightly downwards, or upwards, you could paint the pieces to match the dash and also secure them with pvc glue/silicone on the back, this could also be done with the USB plug so it's a snug fit ✌🏻
Cool idea
@TheGaginator I apologize, I meant to comment this on your other video, had autoplay on 😅😂
Any updates? Just had mine stick while passing another car. Love that feeling you get when a 8k lb missile is being pushed at 5k rpm......

Hey there. Can we get updated on how it's doing ? Any noticeable improvement? Thx for your time.
After putting 10k miles on this throttle body, I would not recommend it. I'd instead recommend the BBK unit. Neither adds actual power, but the V10 throttle bodies sometimes to get worn out. I've had to replace a few. I the BBK is cheaper, and wont have the awfully annoying sounds that the accufab does. I'll try and dop a video comparing them soon. I need to find a BBK
Did you have to do any mods for cables thanks or was it plug and play
I actually just posted a video about that, I have to modify the cable.
Where did you get the cold air intake from?
It is a K&N kit with a custom AFE filter
How’s the trans holding up with that mileage pulling a camper?
Just fine. I change the fluid regularly, and one of these first things I do on these trucks is delete the trans cooler bypass valve. They screw up alot of transmissions
The CTB is 1284 CFM the oval one SCTB is 1680 CFM
WAY more than any of the NA engines need on both accounts
@@TheGaginator The SCTB is huge CFM. I have the CTB but got it for free and am supercharged, I would love to see even one peeps show before and after 1/4 mine times,
Would you say cold air is worth it or was it more for the look? 🤣 debating on getting one but not sure
Don't waste your money. There are not any gains from an aftermarket kit in the case of the 1999-2004 Ford trucks.
was yours sticking with a high idle?
My factory TB? yes
What did you do to remove the slack from the throttle cable?

this video will show. Zip ties or similar inside the cab
@@TheGaginator Thanks for the reply, I actually ended up doing the zip tie trick after not being able to find a new throttle cable anywhere
So did you get it all sorted out.
Yes I did in an updated video
Hard find a good one 00-05 V10
You looking for a v10 or an excursion?
Did u notice anything better or worse with it?
It's a waste of money, but it's cool. If you want anything, go with the BBK unit.
We have actually seen some minor gains using the SCTB96-98 version, slightly different, but a much better match to the intake plenum@@TheGaginator
