    Great info. Can’t wait to get on this. I’ve gotten in the 8-9 range but can’t break past that despite doing a lot of sets. Appreciate it.

    Thank you, Sir. At 60 I can pull out 5 proper reps, maybe 6 on a good day. Will give this a try - looks better than various other schemes attempted. Thank you for sharing. And from Vet to Vet, thank you for your service.

    I started implementing this when you posted it and I'm up to 6 reps from 4. As a woman in my 40s I don't expect to add a lot of reps rapidly, for me this is great success. I really appreciate the knowledge you share here. The freaking bicep/hammer curls right before getting back on the bar are savage but I can't argue with the results. Thanks!!

    i did this 2 years ago. I practiced pull ups for an hour and a half, at 4 a.m, like y show us, in a park, because I was afraid of other people's eyes, and I was ashamed of not knowing how to do pull-ups.Y. I added dips too. After a few months, I was pyramiding. Then after a few months, I was doing sets of 7/8 repetitions.
    . then I had to do surgery. Stay 6 months in bed
    . I can't accept to start over from zero..... But seeing this video remotivates me! First time I see someone doing exactly what I was doing! THANKS

    • @dejuanbarnett
      @dejuanbarnett ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What did you have surgery for ? I hope it wasn’t fitness related . As soon as I started getting good at pull-ups started feeling this sensation in my shoulder like it was tearing . I’m thankful I can still do chin-ups with no issue but no matter how much time passes pull-ups do something to my left shoulder.

    This is amazing and coming from a professional too. Fatigiuing/warming up the forearms etc with the dumbells has also helped/eliminated all my wrist pain as you mentioned in your other pullup videos and I never skip this step. THANKS for sharing your knowledge with us and 100k plus more followers here we come.😀💪👏

    I've been doing pull-ups for years. I started initially doing nothing but calisthenics for several years until weights became part of the picture. Fast forward, I've been able to slowly build up to 290 lbs om a 6'3" frame over the course of a decade. Needless to say, doing pull-ups now feels like weighted pull-ups, Lol. Thank you for putting out this content. I plan on putting these great tips to practical use.

    Great video. I really wish I could do this but having torn my left bicep near the elbow and my right bicep near the shoulder years ago, I am afraid of doing more damage at this point in my life. I am 64 now and muscles don't behave like they used to. Anyway I have sent this on to my daughter who works out like a beast to show her your methods. Thanks again and I love your videos !

      If we can get you to at least control your bodyweight in a safe manner I think you’d be surprised how far you can take it! Start with push exercises and everything surrounding the prior injuries and that will help get more blood to the areas that need help. Baby steps are still steps!

    In the first half you say 3 - 4 sets each of the 90 iso holds, top half pull ups, and top hold. In the second half with the curls + 90 iso hold, hammer curls + top iso hold, and then single arm hangs, are those single sets or also 3 - 4 sets each?

    Hi I was just wondering as someone who is exercising 5 days a week...mondey to friday, how often should I do pull ups??? Should I do a rest day from pull ups or is it ok to do them every day??
    I usually can almost do three but I always have problems with the last bit from 90c and upwards. After no assisted pull ups I do band assisted pull ups and I try do do them as strict as possible..and I do heavier and heavier bands. Today on my heaviest band assisted pull up I did Archer pull ups... just two though :D I`m not sure if that helps but it was fun.
    :)

    Hi Michael! Thanks for another amazing video! I have a question here: I can do 7 pull ups casually (9 or 10 max) and hang with two hands for 50 to 60 seconds, but when I try with one hand like in this video - it's no more than a second or two. Any suggestions on how to improve this exercise?

    • @MichaelEckert
      @MichaelEckert  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So if you saw how I had my hand on the side support for a moment I would use that as a support with your free hand to take some of the load off your main hand. Do that in equal amounts on both sides and your grip strength / confidence will improve a lot!

    How much rest between your supersets. IT's important. 45 secs, 60 secs 75 secs? This greatly affects intensity of the work out.

    • @MichaelEckert
      @MichaelEckert  ปีที่แล้ว

      No more than 120 seconds in my experience but cutting it shorter will increase intensity for sure 💪

      20lb? I dont even own any that small. Heres the real answer, go do lat pull downs until you work your way up to doing the entire stack, then do pull ups exactly the same, probably with a 45lb plate or two or three along for the ride, because thats what you need. Thats what I did, works great.

    When I turned 40, I set myself the impossible goal of doing a single set of 40 pull-ups. I made steady progress up to being able to do a single set of 21 reps, but that seems like my limit, I'll try some of these training techniques. I don't expect to ever get 40, it's an impossible target, but I can get closer.
