@The Sensitive Psycho - Do we know at least a little bit on why Brandon crossed over the middle lane?
Did he fall asleep? Pass out?? Try to pass a car??? Heart attack????
I'm 41 and the age of 33, I dropped off my son, @ the time he was 10 years old, 30 minutes early for school for him to receive extra credit for helping set up and clean their new room, and not 20 seconds later, I passed out, fainted, and crashed my Toyota Sequoia into a parked vehicle going 15mph.
The witnesses say I was out for 3 minutes, slouched over on the passenger side while they were banging on my window trying to get me out or awake. LVMPD called an ambulance and they did all types of tests on my brain & heart, urine and blood of course... All negative. They took my D/L for 3 months until I seen a neurologist outside of the hospital. 3 tests later, they have no clue.
At the end, they say, they claim, 60% to 70% of people experience a episode of passing out, fainting, for no reason at least once in their lifetime.

I didn't hear it mentioned, but it should also be pointed out that he excelled academically as well. He earned his M.B.A. in '99 before playing in his final game, that year's Citrus Bowl. He is the only Arkansas Razorback player to get a graduate degree before his final game with the team. He achieved two degrees and all those awards and achievements in less than five years. What a remarkable human being he was.

@Mike Keller What an awful thing to say. If we are all just animals which have no other motivation than ourselves, explain the outpouring of grief and sorrow, the inspirational feelings that Brandon's story gives? For me your comment shows two things. One, the Creator of the universe gives us free will, even to be idiots and say hurtful things. Second. you hate the idea of God, and you're grappling with it, which shows what God wants is faith. God punished his most faithful servant Job, so we should dare not question the creator of all. We'll all know the truth soon enough.

When I first heard his story it inspired me to become the best version of me. Despite being 130 pounds in high school I tried my absolute hardest to be the best offensive lineman on the team. I won best offensive lineman junior year and won the Burlsworth award my senior year thanks to the inspiration of the story of Brandon Burlsworth. Yes, he does, he looks military with those glasses. Or he looks like a corporate type. But he also looks quiet, and as others have said here, polite and respectful. We've all met people like this in our lives; they stand out because they mean well in an earnest way and they're not showboats or jokesters, just serious minded and purposeful.

Thanks my man! We sure love our football down here. On my university's football team there is a guy from new zealand who just received a full scholarship to Washington State University. In the end if you have the skill, you'll likely make it if recruiters see you. We lost to UCLA but had a lead of 49 to 17 and then lost 67 to 63. Last week we beat oregon state 54 53 with a last second touchdown. It was great.

Bryon Letterman not only that, but walking the narrow path.. he believed in Jesus as far as I can recall and was committed to keeping in line with His way of life.. from any source I’ve heard.. his character stood out to everyone and set him apart from the crowd. We can all learn a great deal from that mans life. It seems one of the most valuable things he did was truly follow the golden rule.. incredible how profound.. and how simple..

I first heard of Brandon in a book I picked up at a second hand store. And I sat for hours and finished the whole book in one night. Such an insperational story. I have a son playing high school football and made him read the book to inspire him. If Brandon got his chance he would have been a fall of famer.
