Thank you. I bought this kitchen jar from amazon. It has a transparent lid. The green plant is Anubias nana. All details in description of the video.

@@Jisoo_Kim_with_luvI'm sure you could make a terrarium without them, however. Springtails feed on decaying organic matter in the soil, helping with the process of natural decomposition. So they're pretty important if you want it to last a long time.
That comment on springtails is fascinating. Never heard of then until now, and I'm sure they'd be great in a terrarium.

I made a terrarium smaller than this today I used a rusty old pair of pliers and plants from the lake by my house. I think it turned out pretty well.
How long did it survive? Is it still alive?

it looks so good! keep up the good work i always look forward to these shorts! i have a question if you dont mind, do you prune the roots of the plants first before planting them? i could be wrong because im a beginner but when you plant the fittonia it looks like it doesnt have the root branches and all the stuff so you just easily stick the plant into the soil.
Thanks. Fittonia can grow from a cutting in a terrarium. I also prune roots.

Thanks. Selaginella and Fittonia are cuttings. Anubias is epiphytic with rhizome and roots

Do you have to maintain it constantly (e.g. cut plants)? Do you have to open it every day for x amount of time to give the plants oxygen? How much do you water it? How often?

I just started making these with moss I have found in my yard. How long do they last before you have to do maintenance?
Depends on conditions and plant species and growth. Case to case basis. Can be 2-6 months

You will face severe mold issues as they will not be seasoned or treated. You can still try.
