Serpa cam you do a electric blue crawfish in a dark water setup? I think it would look good with some smaller blue fish and a purple crawfish. I've always wanted to see someone make it but they use pink gravel and I don't like it not natural. They'll need to dig through . Before pls do your research on them they're like $40 each.
I can't explain how much I have learned from just this one video. Tips, tricks on how to make this and also knowledge about the actual plants. You are absolutely incredible! Instant subscription!
This video is the most comprehensive and simple paludarium one I’ve ever seen. I’m saving this one for sure as one of my favorites. I will love to build one someday day and hope my wife doesn’t oppose to it😊.
The tip about tissue and superglue sounds really useful. I've used superglue for builds before as when dried I knew it was aquarium safe, but in my experience it doesn't bond stone together than well. The little bit of tissue should act as a binder that helps it form around the rock better. 👍
Yes!!! I’ve been waiting for a paludarium build! The hardscape is not complicated and easy to work around while still looking amazing! Thank you for this, looking forward to next week!🙌🏻
Awesome setup. I can see why other types of wood hold up better and don't get halfway water logged like the driftwood you used. It doesn't deter how beautiful it is though.
Everything you do is so cool. As I recover from quadriplegia this is a great way for me to get back the use of my hands. Thanks and Blessings. Semper Fi, Doc
Love your mini eco-system design. Clear and simple instructions however you didn't include how you do a water change. I would really appreciate that. Thank you
With something like this I don't think you can..right? Filter feeders and other freshwater creatures that "clean" should do more than replacing water. Replacing water will disrupt the enclosed ecosystem greatly.
incredible build with lots of insight and knowledge! would love to see a current video of how it is doing. maintenance of the pump will be a bit painful i am sure but yeah... i would also love if you'd get more into the details like how strong is the pump, what ppi do you use/recommend for subsurface filtering. i think i would have also used a bit of sphagnum moss in some places to help reatin moisture for mosses and other plants within the rocks. but yeah! absolutely inspiring and amazing video! thank you very much! :)
This is definitely one of the best builds you've done, its so naturally beautiful! And those snails seem like they do a fantastic job in little aquatic setups like this! I must ask, where do you get your snails from? I've started aquascaping quite a lot for the past few months, and can never get my hands on snails of that size.
I found this video among the first as I started to research. I've been looking for it ever since. I'm so happy I found it again. Great information, beautiful build.
This is the first of your videos I’ve seen- I actually found it while looking for jumping spider enclosures! But I actually learned several tricks and techniques from this one video! Awesome job!
Love the no-nonsense approach and blown away watching your transform picture frames into a aquarium/paludarium. Subscribed! Looling forward to your future projects
your work is always beautiful and i really love the way you use silicone to make a hinge, the hinges/door handles are always the ugliest part of most scapes but yours look seamless
Thank you for sharing your experience. I've watched many videos like this, but yours still taught me so much in one go. You clearly know what you are doing and are great at explaining it. Thanks! 😊
I LOVE such paludariums thank you so much for always creating such beautiful ecosystems for us ☺ Edit: it felt really nice hearing this beautiful tune again at 7:25 :)
@@TerrariumDesignsyou have a great mind for terrariums and palludariums I had to put down my beloved ranch goldfish today and this video has really helped me
Amazing. What a lovely presentation. I love waterfalls. I think I might have added a pop of color with a couple of small ceramic crayfish, as they live in that kind of environment.
Just another amazing video. I have just one question, if the pump break down, how would you replace it? It seems to be fixed behind the background, without any way to access it and replace it when necessary.
Great video, you said in the vid that you changed the water several times in the first 4 weeks, what was the reason for that, and how often do you change the water after ?. Cheers
Love it….how do you trade out water without disturbing bugs life? You didnt mention the oil for the glass cutter and im not sure if you mentioned safety glasses. Love love love what youve done. I live on the atlantic so im thinking coquina rock and palm wood, bamboo. Any opinion?
Mate, superb job, honestly! Clear, simple, precise instructions with nothing held back. All hints and tips made available to make it all as seamless as possible. Complete list of everything used, reasons for use and source of acquisition. Nice clear understandable speech, providing just what is needed, nothing more nothing less, at right pace. Knowledge, skill and experience shared in a way that makes anyone feel confident they can comfortably attempt a similar project. Camera angles, lighting, sound..... mate, you've left nothing for a viewer to criticize :) First time stumbling upon the channel. Liked and subscribed of course, will definitely check out your other works as well. Hope i will find the time to have my own crack at one. Keep it up! Cheers
Just found and watched this and it’s amazing. Subscribed. Thanks for making something that looks so cool look actually doable. Question about the filter foam, do you need to replace the foam? If so how often?
Gorgeous, and what great techniques! How did you block the top of the hose to redirect the water? Did you just stuff filter foam in, or was there some adhesive? Thanks for this great video!
Gorgeous! I hope mine turns out anything like this one! I'm starting big, since big is what I have (32x18x18). Do you have any info on what kind of driftwood to use or not use? I've got two in the bath that I've been trying to waterlog for the past day. Trying to boil off the questionable white growths and bleach and drown out the worms and pillbugs. Just wondering how deep of a clean is necessary (if I should even be doing what I have been in the first place).
Would love to start making terrariums Really great decoration, hobby and just really cool Need a few things but think ill get there probably start with a tic tac one 😅
I use a siphon to do a water change every couple weeks. If you’re concerned about accidentally sucking up the snails you can use an elastic band to attach a small piece of filter foam to the tube:)
Beautiful paludarium man. So so pretty - I love how easy you make it look when cutting glass and beading edges. It’s always so neat 😆 Keep them coming man! 😄🌱
Great video I love the lay out it looked very nice when finished I have some of them plants in all my aquariums you have how do you feed your plants do you use root tabs

I'm so want to build one now! Thank you for such a detailed video! What is the minimum thickness of the glass?

I love this. I am interested in building one with a large enough water base to hold a Betta fish. Have you ever made a betta paludarium?
It looks very tropical 👍🏻
Super rookie question: you mentioned you did a few water changes. How do you change the water once you have everything setup??
I syphon water out with some tubing:)
You should try a riparium build next!
You’ve done an amazing job sir. Well done.
BEAUTIFUL AND CALMING😊
I have never heard of one of these. It is awesome!

Really great decoration, hobby and just really cool
Need a few things but think ill get there probably start with a tic tac one 😅
Beautiful. Do you only use a 5 watt display light? Is it enough to grow all those plants?
The hinge is amazing
How do you clean your paludarium ? Like changing the filter of the pump maybe ? or do you not need to clean your paludarium ?
After adding the snails do you have to do water changes and if so how do you do it safely for the snails?
I use a siphon to do a water change every couple weeks. If you’re concerned about accidentally sucking up the snails you can use an elastic band to attach a small piece of filter foam to the tube:)

Another question: do you fertilize your paludarium plants or just depend on the springtails?
Nice video, keep up the good work 👍
Thank you!
Amazing. Love your videos. I like watching your videos for inspiration.

Is the foam necessary in all areas? Does it help support the life?
