Like a lot of things in life, good preparation is important. Don't rush it, you'll only end up putting in a lot of time and effort to achieve a substandard result. You don't need to get the whole car done in a single day, you can do a section at a time. Ensure you working area is clean and well organised, a messy haphazard environment will impact efficiency and increase fatigue.
Nice one Im doing this right now panel by panel a day at a time. Ive got G3 paste for deep scratches ont he soft mazda paint, then G3 premium as seen in your other videos with their compound mop then i did finish up with their polishing head and g3 premium but decided to go G10 finishing polish instead as thats its one job. Car looks great and loads better than the ultimate compound and polish I was using, its really good value and what the paintshops use. Theres a new 360 range i havent tried but if you test it ill be watching.
Probably because he realized the battery was low and they didn't have a spare one handy. Also, some people use one machine for cutting, another for polishing. It just make things lil faster sometimes.
Hi John good little vid, I see this is not your own garage, is this the place you mentioned don’t time ago where you can hire a studio for the day, either way can you tell me where the place is that do hire a studio out for own use. Many thank Steve
I love Scholl but their naming convension and pad colour combo is so confusing! So blue pads are heavy cutting pads, I have a couple of sider pads. However the blue ninja pads, are finishing pads?! They also don't recommend S40 on the finishing pads because of the foam construction, and instead recommend the Orange pad, which is a polishing pad ... so confused. I know you can uise them in all sorts of combos but Menzerna have this down to a tee!
same! You get what I call brain fraz, going round and round "is this the best combo?!?" Thats why I now use Farecla, simple, straight forward and up there with the best. Good thing is high cut MEANS it, finishing polish totakes the gloss really high. No silly names like "ultimate".. i mean ultimate polish isnt even a polish its a glaze!
Hi mate I’m looking to buy my first da machine and was wondering what machine I should get between the flex & dewalt, of coarse the flex do a smaller machine but dewalt doesn’t so could your please advise me and keep up with the work you do 👍
Hi Jon. Got my car back from the bodyshop as some uninsured idiot lost control and hit it. The rear quarter which they sprayed is a little lighter than the original paint. I'm thinking I might polish it with menzerna then finish it off with britemax blackmax as that I think may of darkened my paint on the other bits
sounds like poor color match mate. I would consider taking it back buffing can gloss it up but its not really going to align the difference in finish perhaps.
@@ForensicDetailing Thank you Jon. I just saw it. Amazing polishers. And it's good to have two batteries. You may charge the first one while using the second one in case you need to repolish for a third time.

It's hard work !
Thanks for showing us just how laborious it is, no wonder a full paint correction takes days.
What advice would you give to anyone polishing for the first time?
Patience is key and every car's paint softness etc can be different
In my case don't buy all the top equipment when you don't have a place to machine polish 😭😭😭 wish I had a garage

Save some money. Watch John’s course be here paying for a single machine or compound. Man I spent some money on junk before getting the right stuff.
Watch your beginners guide videos to polishing, have a clean panel and equipment, test a panel and see how it comes iut
Just used the exact same Scholl polish and pad combo on my car. They did an amazing job!
Nice to see the Dewalt getting a work out great machine lots of power.
VAG Paint in all its Loveliness! Great demo of Technique, Products & various Polishing/DA Machines.

Keep up the good work man!👍🏽
Any particular reason you used cordless for the first two applications, then mains for the last?

This is excellent - get to see the pro show how its done

@@ForensicDetailing thanks Jon. Its not too bad only in the sun. Will give it a polish and finish it off with the blackmax to hopefully darken it
@@ForensicDetailing muy espectacular una joya con el acabado.
What's the model number of your cordless polisher? So good that works with battery and not with cable. Is it DA polisher?
thats a dewalt 848x see my review on the channel
