      I think 🤔 the S21 would do because it's the latest out there and also because its the flagship smartphone at the beginning of the year though it has some low resolution than the iphone 12

      On my looks the S21 has a more better camera because you can change your HD and even with more resolution and it has more and more battery life 🧬 than the iphone 12 😂

You can literally connect a mouse and keyboard to the samsung. or even samsung dex. smartphones now-a-days are as powerful if not more powerful than most laptops. samsung dex literally means youre carrying a computer in your pocket and you will be able to access your files wherever whenever. you dont need a cable now aswell, samsung made it wireless. so tell me...apart from apple paying social media companies to make their apps run better on ios what has apple got over samsung?
      dont tell me that you get longer updates because samsung used to get 2 years of updates, now its gone up to 4 years.

    Why is glass considered a premium material? The glass manufacturers use on the back of phones is dirt cheap. Unless you have to repair it.

    • @jacklr8557
      @jacklr8557 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      One reason glass is considered premium is that it feels nicer to hold to most people (this is subjective), another reason is that plastic backs tend to heat up more easily which can lead to throttling. However, glass backs will generally stay cooler as glass isn't a good insulator. Also, glass isn't 'dirt cheap' - its more expensive in comparison to plastic backs, due to the fact that plastic is a much cheaper material to manufacture. Glass backs also have a greater scratch resistance than plastic backs. Personally, I'm disappointed that Samsung chose to use a plastic back but to each their own I guess.

    • @fedlago74
      @fedlago74 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jacklr8557 I hear you. It would be nice to get the actual numbers on cost, since both glass and polycarbonate are scalable, and in some manufacturing scenarios polycarbonate proves to be more expensive than glass, and is definitely more expensive compared to other plastics. The overwhelmingly stronger fracture/impact resistance of polycarbonate as opposed to glass makes it a much more practical option for the back panel. I feel that the scratch resistance Gorilla Glass offers is really only important for the front panel.

    I switched to Samsung back with the S8+. Haven't regretted it. I've had an iPhone since 2013 when I joined the military and had some real money myself. However, what keeps me with Samsung is the features. Basic text message search is so handy, Androids always took better pictures, in my opinion, especially the Pixel. But most importantly, I've dropped my S8+, S9+, and S21 on concrete with no case or screen protector multiple times, and my phone always survived. Yet you drop an iPhone once with the case, and it shatters. Could have changed, but 2013 and older, that was the case. I'm still rocking Samsung today. I just got the S24+ earlier this week.

    I've always been Android fan and been using Samsung flafmans for 10-ish years now, but what no one is saying is what happens to Samsung battery after year and a half of intense using (which is why you're buying flagmans). Every single time 18-19 months into using the phone there's a drastic decreasment of performens in the battery and the processor, which really compromises the overall efficiency. And I know I'm a heavy user, but that's why I'm paying more - to get better performance. I know everyone is all about "the best camera" these days, but this is a smartphone, not a DSLR, sooo... Yeah. This time iOs won in my case. I just bought iPhone 12 and the last iPhone I had was 3Gs, so it's been a while. Samsung was managing to allure me with better pricing for more features for over a decade, but I'm sick of being frustrated after using the phone for over a year.

    Last I read something like 80-85% of people use a case or skin on their phones, plastic back makes sense. Easier to repair, cheaper to repair, more durable when dropped etc.
    Glass on the backs of phones was always a dumb idea, was just done to justify a price hike.

      True. I got a clear, silicone bumper case on my s21 so I can still enjoy the the color along with a tempered glass screen protector. Had a Galaxy back in the day but it was plagued with issues. Returned it for a 4s.
    The 4s was god-tier.
    Then upgraded to a 6s. Wasn't impressed with the build quality, but it worked as Apple products always do. Super stable.
    Replaced it eventually with a Galaxy S9+ as I wasn't happy with the direction Apple was going. Huge points for expandable storage and a headphone jack.
    The S9+ started developing serious issues that cost me thousands of dollars in self-employment income. Neat. Decided I'd switch back to iOS again. After all, Apple products are stable.
    I've had the 12 Mini for a few days now. Reminds me of my beloved 4s. However, I miss the customizability and features of Android. Also pissed I don't even get a damn charger.
