One idea maybe, seeing you monitoring a recording while driving; if you would position GoPro on the back of the helmet, when not recording, you get a rearview mirror 😎
You will love the bike stock! If you don’t ride to hard or to far then you will be okay. The only thing is this thing is so fun it will make you do those things and eventually crave a bigger battery!
congrats on the updated cover homie! Can't believe I missed your releases, for some reason I didn't get notified. Had to turn the notifications on again. Great video and thanks for sharing the options! I still gotta hit up PL for a battery for the s73
I keep wondering what this noise is whenever I first take off on my CTY2. It's hard to explain the noise, but it's definitely in there where the battery is located. It's almost like this low rumble, and I didn't know if that was normal or what it was.
First day on my athena. I gotta say first impressions are stellar. I was hollering down my street with hardly any sag..its a good feeling. Any suggestions with adjusting the controller settings?
That’s an awesome feeling! I love my athena battery! I am glad you like it! I personally haven’t tinkered with the controller settings, but some riders from the ONYX CTY2 Facebook group may be able to help out. Or you can check the video on controller settings by Run Play Back! Good luck and happy riding!
Congrats on your Athena, here is the info that you were requesting on CTY2 controllers. th-cam.com/video/NiEux_feLAs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YpzHoBrsUcMs0I32 Happy New Year & enjoy in excellent health!
Ironically, the gap filler kit didn't fit my CTY2 with the Athena battery, and actually fit better without it, so that was money down the drain.💸It was still quite a pain getting the hardware to line up, however. Wish they came out with this solution in the first place. Do you have any phantom power drain with yours? Mine loses about .2 volts each day or two as it sits in the garage, idk if it's because of the battery or my aftermarket tail light draining power while the bike is off. Besides that I love my CTY2, it is still among the most powerful e-bikes out there and THE cheapest that can keep up with cars, literally nothing else under $3k goes over 50MPH, none.
Aww man, sorry to hear about your experience. Maybe reach out to them and they will give you a deal on the battery cover. I have some drain, but I would say it’s very minimal, it doesn’t sound as much as yours. Do you have the kill switch off? I agree with you 100 percent about the CTY2! Still my favorite bike in my garage! Thanks for your input!!
@@ErockRodz If you mean the red button, yes, I make sure it's in the depressed position. Not a big deal, just wondering if only my battery does it. Also, I used your code back when I purchased my Athena battery, so thanks for that!👍
Hello! Yes ONYX is a US based company. I personally can’t speak on customer service as I have never had an issue to report! Indeed it does go 50 at the top end. I have some other videos on my channel that showcase it! Check them out if you are interested!
Hi there, I am not sure of which universal battery you are referring to since many e-bikes run on different voltages. The CTY2 has a 60v battery set up and if you were to change that set up you would need a different controller and most likely motor to go with that change. So is it possible, most likely, but doesn’t really make sense to make a change unless you are planning to upgrade it.
It does fit, but it’s very snug. It makes it difficult to open and close the case. It’s not a huge problem if you don’t plan on taking the battery out often.
How much did you pay for exact Z-Creations Battery Cover on ur onyx in video. Is it raw or painted or post processed? there is 5 options please. Also battery cost 63V 'ATHENA' BATTERY FOR ONYX CTY2 $1,975.00 and in your description says 1600 and save 100 please explain. Because after i put erockrodz it tells me Enter a valid discount code. so discount code doesnt work. tnx
Hey there! I got the standard “Raw” version of the battery cover. It’s the cheapest option for $136 I believe. As for the code for powerful lithium, it seems like something is wrong and not working. I will reach out to them to see if they can fix the code. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I will keep you updated once I hear back from them!
Hi there. Just wanted to let you know that the coupon code EROCKRODZ should be working on the Powerful Lithium site for the Athena battery. Thanks for letting me know again!

Haha I have tried that before. Funny you mention it because I actually just added an actually rearview camera on one of my other e-bikes!
@@ErockRodz thnx for the reply!🤗
I think I saw a video of that, awesome idea. Gadget minds think similar 😎
Keep up with great content 💪

The wood grain is what makes that bike. Without the wood battery cover, it's just not the same.
I spent $2,000 on my CTY2, and it had less than a mile on the odometer. So, I can't imagine spending another $2,000 on a battery too!

I think I just had my mind set on a wired freedom, so I'm not able to enjoy my CTY 2 to the fullest. I guess we always want what we do not have.

That charger is the best. I have a couple 5a charger but ive got a 10a in my cart.
Updates on how it works out please.
👋 yes for sure I’ll put out an update! 🤙
Is it possible to make the CTY2 compatible with the universal batteries that most eBikes use?

Im trying to add a 2nd battery other than a surron or Onyx, do you know if a "60V 20ah 21700 16s4p" battery work with a parallel harness cable??
Hey Mr.Quien. Unfortunately I don’t know of any other batteries. Sorry! No used stock batteries available?
I been on the look out, the ones for sale are gone already.@@ErockRodz
Does the upgraded battery fit in the stock shell casing at all?
It does fit, but it’s very snug. It makes it difficult to open and close the case. It’s not a huge problem if you don’t plan on taking the battery out often.
Are u still loving the bike ? Saw its only 2499 now damn
This is an amazing deal!! It’s still my favorite bike of my of collection!
Ashame they dont do rcr
I know they do same RCR parts, but not battery covers. You may be able to reach out for something custom possibly.
