Life changing. LIFE CHANGING! I've even tried to "fix" things for a friend (twice, I'm sorry to say) when they were upset, feeling slighted by a third friend when I was sure it was a silly mistake. Really? How foolish is that? She didn't want help, She wanted to be upset so I finally got it and "let them". Thank you for your brilliance, Mel.
OMG! "Why do you have to be so effin hurt about everything " Yes! I'm almost 50 and finally figuring this out. That said, I've been doing the work to address the trama and missed life lessons to change this tendency. It's worth it and your content has helped in so many ways.
Oh Mel, this is such a life changer. I cannot wait to read the book. I am beyond grateful for your podcasts, love and work with helping so many of us to make this world a better place.
Sometimes our values need amending. Maybe being included at all costs is a value that needs amending. Also, I'm not self aware if I don't understand why people exclude me. So maybe I need to invest my time on being my own best friend, and then see who I'm really attracted to, who do I really want to be included with, and maybe I really won't be hurt when I'm excluded.
I understand let them, such a good point. But my issue is with the idea that is being passed around that it’s either rescue or let them go. A person in a fragile or non understanding place within their fragility, doesn’t need to be dropped or let go. I’m glad you ended with the idea we need to hold space for that person without allowing their issue to effect your life. People who struggle need us to let them while they are struggling while holding space.
I'm holding on the fear to really launch myself and dare to want to leave from my art. It's so hard to shut those voices down and it's hard to let go of the limiting believes I've been infected with. I'm holding tight onto this fear and belief than I don't deserve it and it's not for me, that I'm too shy and too discrete to shine and show my art. I discovered your podcasts 2 months ago and they are changing my life. Truly. Thank you Mel ❤✨
Hello there! I am thrilled to have stumbled upon your incredible photographs and posts. Your profile has piqued my interest and I am excited to hear about your hobbies and interests. I’m curious, what do you do for fun?
Hey there! I am thrilled to have stumbled upon your profile. From your comment I can tell that you’re a very brilliant person. So I decided to look up your profile and I noticed that you’re a person with different types of interests. I’d like to ask, do you enjoy reading and what’s your favorite book to read?
Mel thanks for this it is very timely. I am letting go of a 15 yr old friendship. They are a couple about 10 yrs older than my husband and I. They have retired and the drinking, that was always an issue, has become much worse. My husband decided to stop drinking, our friends are extremely uncomfortable with it. It has become a way for us to move away from the friendship without it being weird because they have made the move. I am a complete coward. I am really struggling with the change and I miss them, I have to go through this process. I have never been very good at making friends. Trying to tell myself to stay focused and LET IT GO!!!
I wish more people understood this especially in relationships, my now x wife described early in the podcast explains how she was while I tried to stay as calm as possible no matter how bad she stoked the fire for reactions with being driven by emotion rather then the logical aspect I took at things, our mental health problems didn't help and makes it more difficult to navigate but it's possible if someone takes a logical level headed look around as a whole before making emotional driven and irrational decisions
Thank you Mel for wonderful therapy. Ultimately all of us need inner peace to win over this life. Every moment in our life is created within us and is happening within our thoughts.
2:31 yeah, me and my husband are the exact opposite in that respect. He's the one that thinks faster than light speed and I'm the one making sure all the bills and s*** are done. 😅😅
After you’ve ’let them’ - rude to you, passive aggressive, act like you don’t exist, don’t care about your feelings ever, are given silent treatment…. Then what? If you don’t want to completely disconnect from them (ie parents) , how to engage & what do ‘boundaries’ look like after you ‘let them’?
I will be comment 200k but will ask anyway: what about boundries when somwone takes out their anger at you? Just to let them? And what about difficult court cases when you have lawyers and judges who decide on your life - could I "let them" too and remove my foot from the gas? Are we indifferent to everything? Thank you...❤

You sound like a fool. Why care so much about other people?

This has by far been one of the most helpful pieces of advice I’ve ever received. A true gift. And I love your podcast so much. Thank you!

This is awesome! This is where I’m at at turning 50 and not always giving a f is freeing!

These are reasons why thinking like this. What do you say 'Let them'. This speaks loudly. 🎋
Great advice Mel! Thank you!
Excellent video. Question: Does this video repeat itself? I feel like I am hearing her saying the same sentences at least twice
2:31 yeah, me and my husband are the exact opposite in that respect. He's the one that thinks faster than light speed and I'm the one making sure all the bills and s*** are done. 😅😅
Could you please post a link to your episodes on other media?

Awesome Mel❣️ Wish I didn't have to wait until December for the book!
Can't wait for you to read it!
@@melrobbins ordered it also. The let them theory is life changing.
Great advice
Mel, my husband, is the same way as Chris. He moves at a snails pace😂 but I move at speed lightning. After 24 yrs, I do appreciate the snails pace❤
Nice. I ended in divorce
How do you keep it from turning into resentment?
I appreciate it very much ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I appreciate you too, my friend! Xo
this is so good! 😊
Hey Mel! Love your podcast. I’m wondering if the new book will be available as an audio book?
MAJOR FEAR I CAN'T DO IT! Want to make a career change but comfort of the known as to the unknown is holding me back. So unhappy.
What if it's something you want gone that you're having trouble letting go of? Like anger at a situation I can't control that ultimately will be ok?
This is actually based on a Bible principle.
In the words of the BEATLES “LET IT BE”.
Holding onto self doubt, like I’ll never be able to get my daughters back in my life, which means I’ll be miserable forever
I will be comment 200k but will ask anyway: what about boundries when somwone takes out their anger at you? Just to let them? A Relationship ,,

My son wants to wear a dress and makeup to the prom! Let them😂😂😂. That's what I did. Am I not a professional at this?😂😂😂😂

Nah.....😮
Let them what...? Talk about you? Well, sometimes you can't ignore that. If your former employer talks shit about you, for example...
Which is actually illegal and you can sue them. 🤷
@bigislandchickens6747 in US, maybe, but not in Europe
@Whoeverwhateverwhenever I'm sorry. That's totally bullshit, you should have the right to defend yourself against slander.
New you say.
Let's rot
No, this does not apply to everything.
Love and let live! ❤
