On the ufo phenomenon. There is an interesting book "cracks in the great wall" by charles upton that discusses the ufo phenomenon through the eyes of a Christian metaphysic. Was a little American but very interesting
Charles is actually Muslim. The primary metaphysical system used was Ibn Arabi's chain of being and chapter 18 from reign of quantity. but he did reference a couple others like Fr Seraphim Rose. Probably the best work on the phenomenon out there, short read too.
There are no good comprehensive works in English. If you just want an accessible treatment of the doctrine of the imamate, you may read this: The Way of Nobility: Knowledge of the Imam. فاثبت في المقام الأوحد وإياك والعدد فان فيه هلاك الأبد This sentence from the futuhat appears to be warning against quantification Winkel translates it as so stay fixed in the stance of the Unique and beware of number because in quantity is everlasting destruction. Although it appears in context to be more about multiplicity -still it seems the sentence could also be a warning about quantity perhaps
Hi Dr Ahmad I posted a TH-cam link to your lecture on Ibn Arabi in toronto , it got deleted . I guess I am not very familiar with rules regarding links. In any event, for people who are interested they are posted.regards
@@SaiyadNizamuddinAhmad ‘charlatan’? What do you mean by that Sir? Are you really calling your health a 'charlatan' because of its disposition towards precariousness?
May be you are right. He might have mistakenly replied to another comment under my message@@the_abbasid If that is the case then our Professor might really be sick after all. May Allah SWT grant him fast shifa. Ameen.
Salam, can you tell me where the word Yajuj comes from, I know Majuj is derived from mauj which means wave or a destructive wave like a destructive force! I googled both terms but it is so hard to find anything reliable on Google, I am also not an Arab speaker! Thanks! Do you have anything to say about Gog and Magog and Dhulqarnain? I know the translation and interpretation from Muhammad Assad. „Two horned one“ but is there more? Thanks!
Excellent! From this chapter on it gets really interesting.
