    Does the boostlogic DP turn on the CEL or doesnt? Also, if i were to go catless will it tunr on a CEL or there are some that dont turn it on?

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  ปีที่แล้ว

      What's the chart say in the video... the Boostlogic catted downpipe does NOT guarantee that it will NOT through a CEL. Again, per the video, catless downpipes will result in a CEL - some people use a defouler to trick the ECU, but I wouldn't count on it being effective.

  • @jaimatic23
    @jaimatic23 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Iv been looking at the boost logic because its catless but dont want the CEL , now im hearing rumors that tuners legally not allowed to delete the CEL

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  ปีที่แล้ว

      I noticed that there aren’t too many manufacturers that even make a catless downpipe. Hopefully one of the freer flowing catted versions will produce nearly as much performance gains 👍

  • @JamessssssssssSupra
    @JamessssssssssSupra 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Should be an easy choice; either the cheapest catless for the track OR you spend the money and get a proper cat/no CEL guarantee with the AA Catted Downpipe. I daily mine, so I went with the catted AA DP. Plenty of volume and performance increase.

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Catless is a no brainer - go with the largest, cheapest pipe. As far as catted, there are others that won’t throw a CEL besides AA. AA is not the only one.

    • @350z33hr
      @350z33hr 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Catless. The cheapest one would do. At the end of the day you need your DME unlocked and a tune to make everything work in a correct manner

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For a catted downpipe, I would be looking at the diameter, cat type and cell of the cat, as well as it’s placement in the pipe. Going with catted, you obviously don’t want to get that CEL.

  • @chrisginoc
    @chrisginoc ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm considering MAP downpipe and full exhaust for it's no CEL, price point. Wondering if the single pipe prevents it from being better performing than a dual pipe running down to the back.

    • @TheLemonFactor

      I think the cell count will have a minimum impact on how loud it is - not as noticeable as the difference between a catted downpipe v a noncatted downpipe 🤔

    So I got my 23 A91 supra this past weekend and looking to do the downpipe first. It's probably between active Werkes and CG... I'm unsure. I'll be attaching to the stock exhaust at first and will probably get a exhaust down the road. Provable a Tomie dual exhaust. Would I have a pro lem connecting the CG or Werkes downpipe to stock exhaust and any problems in the future for the tomie?

      Once you unlock the ECU, Ecutek seems to be the tuner of choice. Less robust solutions are MHD and BM3. Without unlocking the ECU, you can still get decent performance gains from JB4 - and there’s a popular tuner that can custom tune maps 👍

      Not sure if you’re familiar with Akrapovic but they are the best in the bizz (when it comes to exhausts). Most of those other exhausts that are much cheaper are made with poor materials & bad design. But Akra is made from high quality parts & designed by actual engineers. Plus, 8-9k for a FULL exhaust on a $60k+ sports car isn’t too unreasonable imo 🤷‍♂️
