I have watched this video a couple of times. Came back to help finalize my decision on a dp for my M340. I am grateful for the assessment of the aesthetics for these dps however at the end of the day I think most viewers would prefer to know the performance gains for each dp above all the subjective assessments. Does having a 5” opening actually translate into more HP, and what about the affects on torque? The numbers are the most important and beneficial feedback.
On a stock car you're not going to notice much difference in performance (2-5hp) between a 4, 4.5 or 5" downpipe. As you start making 600-700hp, aftermarket turbo, fueling, ect. you might need something more then a 4" downpipe to make more power.
I think the AMS DP is the best downpipe. Because if you look at the flex joints for all the DP’s in this video, they are all weaved or meshed. AMS does not have a weaved flex joint.

Looks like I'm going with the CG, love the sound with the stock exhaust, not looking to change the exhaust, most all that I have heard, sound raspy or tin can like, plus love the bigger beer to mate up with turbo. Awesome videos you guy's put out, keep it up. Supra Nation!!
What the best sounding down pipe and exhaust? Ive been looking for a while and i like the tomei but before i buy id like to get a downpipe also. Catless or catted but i want the best sounding and better performance.

@Bradley Bevins Those don't really work in our opinion and experience, the CEL will not hurt the car, but it is best to get on of our tunes.

I just installed the CG Precision I bought from you guys. I was shocked the first time I started the engine. It is definitely louder. Power with my e50 tune is insane. I'll bet it is within a few hp of catless.

dont know much bout each downpipe brands, most are 4.5 inch, while cg is 5.0 and the priciest, at first i was like, go budget but then since i plan on keeping my car forever till it dies, why not provide it with top of the line downpipe

I have a 21 Supra, can a catted DP be installed without a tune? I heard the 21’s have locked ECU.

It’s not good to add modifications without proper tune , it’s bad for engine in long run , I would wait till tune becomes available, in same boat 21 Supra in red

This car was already tuned and we added 20HP just with the addition of the DownPipe - Even a Catted one will increase spool up and power
What is the best catless downpipe in your opinion?
Supra 616 they all perform the same in a way. But we suggest some of the more quality pieces. Shoot us an email we can explain more. Watch out for the ones that have a smaller diameter than the OEM one.
So I just got my 2021 Supra. I wanted to get a catted down pipe that’s not loud. Hopefully looking for a deep low tone. I’m looking to gain 60-70 WHP along with a tune. Do you have any suggestions?

@@Mk5forLife i installed a precautionary J-Style O2 Oxygen sensor on it, and no CEL for over 2000 miles +. perfect smooth sound.

You can install it with out a tune, we have a few customers on the streets with the CG and actuall all the Catted downpipes in this Video with no issues - The Tune will just bring more power - Our Supra tune is insane - Releasing soon on Ecutek

Stock with the AA and the Powerneedy one.
Emissions checks on a brand new car like a Supra? It's gonna be 7-8 from new before you need a smog check. You might not even have the car by then
