For those of you who have issue with why so many country singers are covering a soulful song. You must look at Reba's history. This came out shortly after she lost most of her band to a plane crash. What better way for this woman to heal than to gather her best friends together and sing a song that she can relate to about doing something on her own. She did just that!
4 beautiful women with beautiful voices. This was a spectacular video that's never been duplicated because it can't ever be.I'm sure of that. I love this song. I'm in awe of these women

I loved this duet when Patti and Michael sung it, the version with Reba and the ladies is outstanding. Reba is one the greatest country singers of all time in my book. There is not a song she has done that i dislike, she gets in your head, heart, and soul.
Reba is the only country artist allowed to remake anything. She always makes it sound so nice, no matter the genre the song was originally from. So talented.
I love, love, love how none of these women seem to have an ego and they all came, sang their parts and celebrated the moment of singing together. I can tell that even though Reba and Trisha were a bit more successful at the time, that they made Linda and Martina (who was a rising female vocalist at the time) feel as if they were equals.
I wrote Linda a letter in 1993 and she replied FROM THE ROAD. I love her, she's beautiful and in my eyes, she's got a heart of gold. HEY, LINDA: DAVE LOVES YA, BEAUTIFUL ANGEL!!!
This was a time when women vocalists actually had unique voices. Listen to them. They all sound great and distinct. Now days, I can't tell one singer from another on country radio. So many of them sound so much alike. These women sound like women. .. so many singers today sound like they are still in high school. Just.. nothing special.
I honestly have never heard a song with every note perfectly sung by multiple people! And the voices are wonderfull! Perfect combination! I can't get enough 😅 I am only a teen, but I am glad that this is my taste of music!
Reba,Linda ,Martina, and Trisha are icons of the best damn decade of country music. The 90'S. The 80's started to rev up with some really good writing and when the 90's arrived it was just amazing. Some very good talent and songs came flooding the airwaves. I have yet to see anything now that was as good.
If you look at the history, Country, Pop and R&B have been crossing over each other for decades...a good song is a good song!!! This will forever be in my top favorites...both versions. love these ladies
