Hey I have this same model but it recently stopped working :( no games show up and it won't let me open the market to install any because "the game disc u is not inserted" I've tried to take it out and put it back but it won't work is there any way to fix this or somewhere I can find a spare part?
Maybe the sd card got corrupted, try to get a new image from the place you bought the unit from

Nice console, really appreciate your efforts in reviewing this console. Well done, life long gamer. Is this the best console to buy for year 2022 ? What screen size to buy (19inch , 20', 24', 27', 32', 50', 65') monitor since games are not full HD. Wide screen or square ? What Resolution to buy = HD, Full HD, 4K ? Refresh rate = 60 hz or 100hz or 144 hz ? Based on your experience. Thanks pal.

What screen size to buy? As these games were made during the 4:3 days and not 16:9

@@dragonhoo1535 I would buy a sony trinitron CRT or something like that. Old arcade games and consoles are made for CRT monitors

Having owned at least 5 or 6 pandoras box within the past 10 years, the only good point i can find with this system is that it is indeed plug and play. But apart from this and from an arcade purist point of view, the rest is all wrong. The aspect ratio is forced on 16/9 when most of the arcade game from the 1980-2005 era were designed to be displayed in 4/3 format. As a result, all the characters look stretched as hell and the circles looks like ellipses which is awful and a big no-no to me ! Even the vertical games aspect ratio is wrong being set to 9/16 instead of 3/4 in YOKO mode. The emulation is decent but the 3D games like Tekken 6 are sluggish when you play them showing the limit of the embedded processor. Nintendo 64 games have the same problems as with any other machine running the usual N64 emulators such as Mupen64 Plus or Project64 meaning some games work perfect (like the Mario Kart 64 you tried or Super Mario 64) and some other play like crap. Try Goldeneye 007 and you'll realize how poor the framerate is and how choppy the music is once you start the game.
Pandora's box is to Arcade what virtual pincabs are to pinball : a nice way to get a glimpse about the games for newcomers but definetely not a replacement for the real deal if you are a purist😄 Just my 2 cents though ! 😉
Thank you for watching and sharing your points. For me this is a great surprise, I reviewed it yesterday and we played a lot of 2 player games with my son today and later he played some more with his friend also, both 11 years old. Had SO much fun.
I’m used to play Amiga games in 16:9 on this tv for years now. I’m all fine with that.
This is emulation only, I know, but for peanuts you can have a plug and play solution that is awesome for the average joe like me.
A purist will never be happy with emulation
Can I asked how the 2D arcade games worked like snk Vs capcom, Jong of fighters, sf3 etc. I'm seriously considering this just for the arcade, plug and play 2D fighters.

The rasberry Pi is good for emulation and much cheaper.
