Watched these three videos at 4 am while rocking my almost inconsolable child to sleep. My family has experienced something very similar to your description, but was largely dismissed by doctors. Thank you for your very grounded and well researched information. I’ll be sharing it with my mom in the morning!
This is a very informative video! Thank you doctor. Here I am at 5 am trying to figure things out with my toddler. When he was a baby he had silent reflux which was difficult to diagnose. He wouldn’t sleep through the night, constantly waking up crying, and much more. His pediatrician prescribed medicine but also mentioned that sometimes the diary and soy free diet work (I was breastfeeding). So I ask her if we could try the diet without the medicine first and she agreed. She also ordered stool test to see if there was blood and it was positive. I would read every single label when I was on diet. If bread or anything had diary or soy it was a no for me. It took me about 2 weeks (apparently) to clear the cow’s milk protein out of my system and see progress in him. His silent reflux stopped completely and all the symptoms went away. He was meeting all his milestones and was super healthy…. Then we reintroduced diary when he was closed to his first birthday and he seemed doing fine. Now he is 2.5 years old and he is having some delays to the point he was sent to developmental ped for evaluation. This was very gradually, but when I noticed he had lost some eye contact and after reading books and tons of information I decided to stop diary again. Sure enough I’ m getting back eye contact and other things. I am trying my best to heal his gut because he also have loos stools when he has a bowel movement. But I don’t know if I should give him multivitamins or tums for kids (his new ped mentioned this) to supply Calcium or if He could get Calcium from nutrition only. He eats very well. He eats fruits, vegetables, etc.
I would really like more information on nutrition, especially for my children. Inflammation in the body. And would like more natural ways to help children heal everyday challenges like eczema & toe infections. My 2 year old son has now just started have skin rashes & spots on his body that are very itchy. And I continue to go to the doctor where they give yet another cream to try that doesn't work. I'd like to know that there are other ways through things like diet I could try. Thank you
I really enjoyed your video. Thank you so much for making it. If you can make another video with with regards to the alternatives for milk and cheese for babies that would be great I'm going to look at your other links as well
Amazing information! Thank you for all the links and direction. My LO is turning 1 in 2 weeks and I don’t think he’s grown out of the cmpa yet because I’ve tried small amounts of yogurt and milk and he still seems uncomfortable, but your video gave me some good information and I think I’m going to introduce almond milk and more avocados for healthy fats. I’ll be watching him as he grows to see how he does but this was GREAT information. Thanks again!
I'm so glad to hear it was helpful, and yes, I'm not surprised that your little one is continuing to react. Early introduction of any plant milk gives a great chance he will learn to like it. Avocados are great for healthy fats. Best of luck to you!
Wow! I just saw one of your comments on Natalie Crawford's video: suppliments when TTC. Out of curiosity I came to your channel, I am a new subscriber! I enjoy equipping myself with sound, science based advice 👍🏼 👩🎓
Welcome! So glad to have you and thanks for your kind words. I love Dr. Crawford's work, and yep trying to provide the same kind of information here about children's health and parenting.
My daughter had blood in her poop and now when she eats cheese or something that has cow's milk she gets a fever. The doctor thinks she has pfapa but I am almost 100% sure that it is something with the milk.
My 8 month old son is allergic to oats, almonds, cashews, hazelnut, sunflower seeds, peanuts, egg whites, and mild dog dander. So he is now drinking enfamil nutramigen but I was just about to buy a second tub. In the bottom the warning says don't heat this formula but my son hates cold formula. I need help to get him to drink formula room temperature please?
I can also use some help with meal advice as well? Also I'm giving him multivitamin and a antihistamine that my pediatrician recommend for him including a cream for his eczema. Any meals to boost his immune system would be greatly appreciated
8week old has cow milk protein allergy or intolerance i dont know exactly But my question is if i consume 200ml dairy milk how much will be transmitted to my baby through breastmilk
Everyone is different so it’s impossible to know exactly. The thinking is that the extra casein load comes through. Can’t say exactly how much without a laboratory!
my daughter is 5 her mother likes to feed her every morning milk and boiled egg. my daughter burps, farts, and says sometimes she has tummy aches. Clearly she doesn't like it MOST of the times. I myself dont like milk and like very small quantity of milk and dont like entire glass. I cannot drink cold milk at all, can only drink hot milk. please advise, if my daughter is lacto intollerant
Tummy aches in kids have such a long list of possibilities. Diet is certainly very important but all the other factors should be considered too. I recommend giving her doctor a call
My daughter be nauseous some mornings after a couple of hours she is fine. I don’t know if she lactose. I gave her a ice cream yesterday and her stomach is rumbling.
Does your kid do well with dairy products?
Thank you for your video. Please I need your answer to my question: What do you think about Acidophilus milk?
This was so helpful! I wish more doctors focused on dietary health!
So glad to hear it! And I agree - we are what/how we eat :)
Thank you for all your videos! I would love to hear what you have to say about constipation and also Vitamin D for pediatrics.

Yep I hear you. Have you tried a dairy free period to see how it goes?
