Great work BUT as the door isnt fully tight you can see a gap so moisture / wet / damp can get in it will get into the insulation and come through the wood causing you issues / rotting. Youll have to rip it all down to replace it sadly
Looks mint Tom, looking forward to seeing you ride again!! Watching you coach KJ to the standard she’s at now is great. Such a lovely couple of people. Keep the vids coming.
Love the bike racks very cool and practical I would of put sockets near the Emile so you can charge it while its hanging up And a little shelf /bin to sit the charger on
Hello , Excellent job !👍 Excellent how to park your bikes ! If i had a little bit space, i would place a canape.... to share beers with friends (or wife 👍😂) and also a shower to not to dirty your home😂 Perfect job you made ! 👍
Hey Tom Cardy and Kara Beal! Those wall racks are awesome! Has the sky high lockdown price of timber come down in England yet? Heal hard Tom Cardy! Ride ride ride!
I only said because i know 2 people who have done this an both of them had the same damp problem. To be honest im not sure if they tried to seal the garage door first haha.
It did look like they just laid the insulation in there sideways instead of stapling it to the wood like they should have; with a small gap at the bottom. However, if the wood is touching the concrete floor, and any water comes in under/around the garage door when it rains, or even if groundwater touches the concrete, they'll still have a moisture problem. Unless the top of the concrete is really well sealed, as concrete wicks moisture.
You should put an awesome picture of yourself or another mtb rider on the blank wall in a frame and maybe some more lighting like strip lights or something.
What is the size of the wall and distance between the racks? I'm building a shed for 4 bikes and was planning to have it 2m wide. Your garage back wall looks similar size.
Looking so tidy Tom, great job. My cheapy hook is almost being pulled off the wall with the e bike. Also like you say my hook style ones hurt your rim.
Maybe I missed it, but what are the dimensions of this space? Just curious, because the space I'm converting looks to be a similar size. Coming along great Tom!
The racks look great, so does the wall- not sure why you didn't tuck it back a couple more inches. What kills me is that hand saw- you're obviously good with it though. Just sayin, a decent, lightweight, electric radial saw is less than 50 bucks and they last forever. Next, I would look at some led rope lights for the perimeter of the ceiling because they're easy to install and if you don't like them, you're out the cost of a good pizza.
sound, put some old school proper british speakers in so you can play classical and opera for build-videos. those are some proper wood working skills it looks real good

I was just about to post the same comment.
What an awesome way to utilize space! Looks amazing, great job!!
Thanks dude!
Add some task lighting underneath your overhead cabinets.

You needed an sds drill for the floor mate that’s why
Garage looks epic! Dream bike cave project is coming along nicely, glad we could help you out with our easy bike storage!
Great idea works fantastic just like shuffling a deck of CARDS when they twist side to side cards is the name riding is your game 😀👍👍👍
You might need some spotlights in all 4 corners, pointing to the center, to work on your bikes.
Love the bike racks very cool and practical

Love to see Kara helping out, she looks like she knows what she’s doing with DIY 💪🏻
Super clean setup👌 look forward to seeing what cool ideas you come up with for the next wall
Thanks dude!
you should build a compact cupboard where you were standing in the corner to with a row of hooks to store your wheels in
Good thing with the bike storage if you move u can just unbolt the false wall and take it to your next house and remount it. Happy days
You've got me sold on that steady rack. I've been struggling with the same too many bikes, small garage issue for a while now
Very nice. Even though it looks like you need more room of fewer bikes - so ya need more room.
Best bike racks have had them for over a year now and work sweet
Awesome Tom, those racks are sick. Garage is looking top class
Good work Tom, might consider painting the cinder block wall a very light gray almost white to help with the light
Great work,Tom and Kara!
Love you're bike racks awesome like Tom thanks for really cool videos
Hello ,

Great job. We have the same bike racks and they do a fantastic job
It looks brilliant.
Looking great Tom 👍🏻
I love it , nice work !!!! 🤘🏼👌🏼
Amazing but my OCD cannot handle the fact you didn’t fill / seal the door gap. Equally did you fix your door down?

Yes! I’ve been waiting for this one!
Nice work Tom!
Looks great! Those racks are ideal
The dream! 🤟
That's what I meant Dreamz! 👍
Nice space, does your work area have separate lighting, you would create a shadow on your workspace while your working as it is.
NOICE .. Is my dream having something like this ...
Hey Tom, slick storage for the bikes, how wide is the wall at the back? looking at something the store 3-bikes to get them off the floor
Racks look ace. How wide is the wall for those 5 bikes please .
Looks awesome…
Dream come true❤️✨
It’s slowly getting that way!
Very nice work guys, looks sick 🤟🔥
Amazing transformation! Im curious what the dimensions of the garage are?
Nice work 🤙
put some brighter lights in.
The condensation from the garage door will make the insolation damp an that will soak into the wood making it mould an smell.
The garage door isn't sealed I don't think, so it should air out.
But it may also allow moisture in? :/

You will have to invest in a sds drill, as tho battery drill are mealy a percussion drill... Get a proper hammer drill and you will never go back 👌
Sickkk! 🔥🔥
🤟🤟🤟
What's happening with the electrics on the wall you tidy them up then you could fit another bike rack next to them
Darn I was late😔😔😔
But love it tom

Super Tight Tom! Looks sweet. BTW, hows the guts feelin??
sound, put some old school proper british speakers in so you can play classical and opera for build-videos.

Your dream garage needs a circular saw! Ha that was painful to watch you handsaw!
Love those carpentry skills. Bike thieves are the worst people in the world.
