Been cutting wood for 50 years this just goes to show you that you are never too old to learn and always remember that you don't know everything. Great tip and extremely helpful.
72, been cutting sheets of everything for about 60 years!!! What a great idea!!! Just goes to prove....you're NEVER too old to learn sumting new!!! Thank you very much..(elvis)
Now that’s ingenious! I’ve been cutting sheets by myself for 30 years and did everthing from cutting on a ground foam to a sacrificial sheet of plywood. THis has made my day! Thank you! You are getting a thumbs up and a subscribe from me!
First, I did not understand video title or understand it differently and expecting something else to happen until video was almost over and then I understand, that I was understanded the title wrong. That is good and useful jig, thanks for sharing it.
For crying out loud. For years I been doing kind of the same thing with vice grips and a couple of 1x’s, but this is much more easier to reach back and knock it off that what I been doing.
Yea I agree plus if you spend a little time on this and build a nicer one than I did it would be something you could use continuously and save instead of tossing when your finished with whatever project your working on
74, had to slap my forehead. Great tutorial, to the point and simple. You know its been said Jesus was a carpenter, interesting vocation our Lord and Savior, Son of God.
@@keepmakindust don't hold your breath on that, as slapping tariffs on all imports will only make things more expensive. Canada is an obvious source for wood products but do a quick search on "plywood sources USA" and you'll see that "North American Plywood Corporation" gets their plywood from anywhere but North America, Plywood Source Services owns and operates 3 mills in the Hanoi, Vietnam area, and Plywood Source "specializes in the importing of Chinese hardwood plywood into our warehouses in LA and Houston". So I'd recommend buying as much as you can afford now!

I've used a c clamp for this but it's 'kinda fiddly, making up a 3/4, 1/2, and 1/4 inch seems like a good idea, thanks!
Yea I agree plus if you spend a little time on this and build a nicer one than I did it would be something you could use continuously and save instead of tossing when your finished with whatever project your working on
This idea would have saved me the loss of a toe nail several years ago 😬

I agree I believe that’s why I find such peace in my shop
Sandwich two pieces of timber with a clamp works
True but some folks don’t have clamps this is just and alternative
I usually cut about 2/3 of the way then twist that end over the table and finish the cut
That’s one way to do it
I use a bit of wood with a couple of g-clamps. 😉
That works too
😊
Thanks for watching
That beard adds +10 to credibilty
I agree you’ve got to trust a big guy with a beard lol
Or use a squeeze clamp 🤙🏼
You can, this is just another option in the event you can’t find your clamps
From the camera angle I thought you were going to cut your sawhorse. lol.
Haha wouldn’t be the first time

$184.00 worth of plywood.
I know right the price of wood is crazy but hopefully it’s on the decline
