    • @highnoon7097
      @highnoon7097 ปีที่แล้ว +1

there was a lot of that in the past 18 months or so. Teams sacking sucessful managers and replacing them with managers with a track record of failure. Chelsea went from Tuchel to ending up with Lampard, Leeds had Bielsa and ended the season with Allardyce. Southampton had a solid boss in Hassenhutl yet ended up with the youth academy manager in charge. Spurs went from Conte to a pair of unknowns in Stellini and then Mason. When you change manager you're supposed to punch up - not down. It seems that teams have been struck with Solskjaer syndrome, sacking established coaches and bringing in the someone about as qualified as the tea lady and just hoping it will somehow work out better.
Villa did it right. They had a manager that was out of his depth so they identified Emery, a manager with a superior record, trophies and a decent reputation. Surprise surpise they went from 17th to qualifying for Europe. That's no co-incidence.

That's such an exaggerated platitude. It's one of those soundbytes that people trot out without actually thinking if it even makes any sense. Leicester aren't of the calibre of the likes of Wigan and Reading. Those teams were always scrapping over relegation in the premier league. Leicester have more in common with more established clubs that just had a really bad one-off season, like how Newcastle and West Ham went down. They went down and absolutely pissed it getting promoted at the first opportunity. Leicester will walk it in the championship next season just like Burnley did this year. It isn't brutal. The fans will enjoy it once they've got used to it, just like how Burnley fans loved actually winning something for a change. Even without Maddison, Barnes etc Leicester will still be too strong for that league.

@@highnoon7097 youre ignoring the fact tho that newcastle and west ham have pretty much always been premier league regulars, absolutely massive clubs, ill always remember when newcastle got relegated in 2016 and going to watch Derby there, there were 52,000 fans at the game, in the top 5 biggest attendances of the country on that day, for a championship game. the same cant really be said about Leicester who apart from their 7 year run have mainly been a champ team, they are nowhere near the size of a west ham or newcastle. I can really see Leicester ending up like Swansea and Stoke, becoming a mid table championship team after their relegation

A permanent place in the PL is impossible for most of the clubs. If they find good players they will just lose them eventually to the big clubs, and having to continually spend big to maintain their status catches up with them. Southampton and Leicester have had a good run, better than most.

I been saying this for such a long time, Youri clearly wanted to leave after the FA cup final but Rodgers the clown thought the squad was “good enough and only needs adding”
The fact was if a squad bottles top 4 in consecutive seasons the moral drops and we need to sell some of the players. Ndidi was linked with £50m-£80m moves, Youri was linked with £50m-£60m moves, Soyuncu £40m which dropped to £20m. What did we do? We kept them like idiots. I blame both rodgers and Rudkin.

We won the title 7 years ago, a
    really top manager,after that,
would have made a couple of class signings, just like Kante,Okazaki and Mendy, saw out the next 4 seasons of his
contract, and made sure we were a top 6 team when he left, NOT,got sacked 6 months
    later,bought Zieler, Hernandez,
    Kapustka,Musa and Slimani,
broke up a fantastic side, and took us so far backwards that
if Vichai hadn't have sacked him,we'd have been in the
    Championship 6 years ago.
This is why we needed Craig
    Shajesphere,then Puel,then
    Rodgers,then Sadler and Mike
