Monetarily it's probably the right call. Buuuuuut they're sooooo coooooool though aren't they? Idk, I just love the design space for a lot of the legendaries from this jumpstart. Wizards cooked!
1:45 clarification: Foundations Alesha is Grandma Alesha, Alesha who Smiles at Death is her grandson. In the lore WSaD came out first and the lore simply was “when he proved himself to the Mardu clan and reached the age of choosing a new name he picked the name of his grandmother, who was a previous leader of the Mardu”. At the time it was simply written off as odd but still dignified in respect to his heritage but was later explained to be WSaD ‘coming out’ as trans. As this information came out later (post Dragons of Tarkir, the set AFTER the card Alesha, Who Smiles at Death was printed in) the discrepancy of whether or not this is true or simply Wizard’s virtue signalling is in the air.
Quakestrider Ceratops goes great in any "power matters" deck. Yargle and Multani for instance. Works wonderfully with cards like Traverse the Outlands and Greater Good.
Not only can I be trusted, I'd rather have a chance to meet and respectfully interact with the bara hambo men, and not to mention all of the wonderful non-binary friends there are too make. Unfortunately the anime waifu obsessed- I don't even think I want to give it the honor of being called a "fandom" - is becoming more prevalent in the magic community. One of my friends recently bought a waifu playmat. Tried to bring it to the LGS and got told to "go be less cringe"
I can not say just how sick Alesha, Who Laughs at Fate is. She's scarier Rakdos Meren. She helped me place 10 in my pre...with Twinflame Tyrant (super not budget).
Hnmm, and now I have to wonder if Cynette will work in my Oona deck... does she replace Sprite Noble, or join her as the 6th lord? (I'm already grabbing a High Fae Trickster, because that shit's hilarious) Anyway, for those who like the etb on Curator of Destinies, Sphinx of Uthuun is an older card (first printed in 2011) with the same etb; one more mana and lacking the "cannot be countered" line, but also +1 toughness. All said and done, this gives us three Fact or Fictions in mono-blue, with two being creatures and thus blinkable.
I'm loving these more expensive black cards that can be recured, and have a massive etb as a reward for circumventing their drawbacks.
@surisMTG thanks for the great video, short reminder for the land at 20:25, you cant mutate on it, mutate is non-human only.
Ah shyte. You're right.
I got myself some jumpstart, and managed to get the two most expensive waifus. Severely tempted to sell them
I ended up with the Ninja Turtle.🤣
I got the Pegasus. Gonna buy more, cause they have good cards, and want to teach some friends how to play constructed

Twinblade Blessing is the perfect add for my goofy Master of Keys voltron. It can even be escaped right back at instant speed.
As someone who pulled both Rev and Aphelia in my jumpstart box, yes I need these anime women in my life!
Love the content! Wishing ya well!

High Fae Trickster is great if you want to cast ANYTHING at instant speed.
It's a Vedalken Orrery/Leyline of Anticipation on a body.
Rev second ability made CEDH players get excited
13:02 Blue harmonize? You mean concentrate?
Ha felt good preordering waifus when they were 5 bucks.
Nice video, love the self awareness 😂
I'm thinking Curator of Destinies in Unesh Criosphinx Sovereign and a blink shell.

Rev is expensive because of the waifu tax.
New to the channel, what is going on outside your house? o.o
I'm at a card shop in most of this video
@surismtg Sorry I meant outside the windows of the virtual room 😆
We watch you for a reason. Anime waifu
