You listen to the final product and you never realize how much work went into the mixing, getting the timing and sound right, etc., etc. Love these glimpses into the process.
C'est grâce à cette musique qui m'a été jouer et découverte par mon ami.qui la jouent et qui m'a fait découvrir l'univers de satriani et maintenant je suis accro!!🙏❤️😁☀️🤘🎸💪👏
I remember first hearing this song! I was so blown away by it --it was amazing! My brother, who was a guitar player, God rest his soul, practiced this song for he and his band, Retribution. They had it down real good! Satch woulda been proud!
this was one of the most anticipated albums i can remember. Surfing was so groundbreaking everyone wanted to hear what came next. a friend told me he read somewhere Joe sings on this album, and i didnt believe him until the day it came out and i bought it.
Wow this is a bit like watching "Get back" where you get to see what you literally have heard for so many years. But here everyone is happy, so fucking cool.
I used to play the early Satch Tape VCR Tape over & over. Watching BIG BAD MOON on MTV blew me away. The Rock guitar God can sing & play harmonica incredibly as well too!! 🎸🔥🎸🌜🌚💜🎶
i bought this cassette at the mall in phx AZ when i was 20, working on a construction crew working harder than i ever had, listening to it over and over in my shitty little datsun pickup truck w/mag wheels i saved and bought and put on it thinking i was free and the coolest kid ever. The best guitar playing i'd ever heard. That tone.. So good. Thanks for everything Joe!
I just love these vids. I can never wait for the next one. At some point you should put the lot altogether and make a full film out of it. What great history this is.
Joe is a rock n roll biological entity of the very highest order, I've been fortunate to have seen him live three times ,and even got to meet him and see him shape shift into a chrome guitar and he is one of the nicest beings i have ever met.
...unless you have a cookie :) Continuing the "sitar" at a slightly more elevated volume for ongoing rhythm soooo much more seasons the whole recipe with magic. 8:30 - 9:36 nails it. I wish I could hear that on the "official" video too. Instead, it's buried there. Glad this version's available to us now. Thanks!
I'd love to jam with him.. when i heard him on guitar about 2 years ago i said hey i was playing those licks 30 yrs ago and he's made a living out of it..lol..i only play by ear can't read or write music but i can hold my own...Joe is a Great under rated Brother of the Musical Gifts from above..he sings good too..thanks for sharing this Mr Satch. Keep on flaming the path few can follow. 👍👍
I listen to Satriani songs almost every day from 30 years. I loved this song cause its kinda rock metal bluuues. Simple but powerful. I dunno why he doesnt sing anymore.
Satriani is the best guitar player!
So one take with the guitar,.....20 takes with vocals,....that's about right,....

👍 Aprendiz y Maestro a la vez ,investigando y creando siempre, grande Satriani!!👌
Shocked while filming this....🎸

Joe is my only God.
I never even noticed the sitar sound!
Joy satraini
That material was super interesting to watch!
Are there anything from Engines of creation or Crystal planet sessions?
Guitar god Joe? Nope, sitar god Joe! 😝😜
🌚👍
So that's what a Satch is
Does any one know what key the harmonica is in that would be great to learn ..🤘
👽
the sound engineer does everything right-the first one is the freshest, you can work with it...
Tell me the key of harmonica which he use for this song.
By the hair I'm guessing he's always been electrocuted by those tube amps 😆 🤣 😂. Love the long hair joe era 😀
Ahhh... the sound of tape capistans moving... 😀
Joe Satriani showed Ozzy Osbourne how to bark at the moon.
But I like it.
Awesome, but where's the GUITAR footage?!
Great track from I think the Extremist ?
Flying in a blue dream .
@@peteloomis8456 thanks Pete it's been a long time🙊
there is no more valuable endorsement than that of a 3-year-old because they're so developmentally incapable of brown nosing
