Back in the 80's, Ford had the Bronco and the Bronco II. This new Bronco strikes me as having a profile somewhere in the middle of those two models. I remember trips up to ski resorts here in Colorado in the Bronco when I was a teenager. That SUV felt very Coloradoan, and handled winter mountain roads very well, and obviously, it was named after the local football team. So of course natives in my home state loved it. I wonder how close this new Bronco feels to the vintage 80s model on the road, especially handling the uphill grade on some of the local mountain passes.
That'd be good to know. Since you're in Colorado maybe see what TFL Trucks did for tests. Size wise, the new Bronco is a bit smaller than the 80s, but not likely by much! Especially since the new Ranger is very close to the old F150s in size.😊
Great detail about the history of the Bronco! I haven't had a chance to hop into one of the classic Broncos but now I'm going to keep my eyes out for one
As always... An awesome walk around!
This autocar looks phenomenal! And I agree I really wouldn't "want" to get it dirty. However wild horses need to run free on the open wild range!
Thanks Kevin! Haha glad I'm not the only one who would be apprehensive to take it off road
Great video 👌🏽😉
Thanks Silvo, appreciate that!
I love it! This will be my next car!
Nice! What color would you go for?
@@CarsWithSteve the robins egg blue! Amazing, unique color. Nothing like it on the road!
Blows me away how people don’t know about the original broncos that these were modeled after.
I tried to find some footage to showcase the older ones for a compare but it was tricky to come across usable video. But that gave me an idea for a future video 🤔
@@CarsWithSteve I’ll look forward to seeing what you come up with. Also, apologies for the aggressive manner of these comments from last night. I grew up on early broncos and they mean a lot to me.
All good, I know how people get passionate about cars! Guessing you had a Bronco or two growing up
Nice 👍🏻 😊
Thanks Josip!
Thanks for the review. Are there any air vents for the back passengers?
You're welcome! The one thing I missed pointing out... They're just underneath the 1st row seats pointing to the 2nd row
Good luck trying to find one on a lot.and if you do its probably $20K over sticker
So true! Some of these rarer models are priced a bit high
Man I gotta get me some of those blissteens
It would be great to be able to take one of these things offroad to let loose. Baja run in the Heritage Limited?
@@CarsWithSteve I’m not a fan of the limited. It’s too far from what bronco means to me. My first bronco was a 1970 half cab (U14) in robins egg with a white top. If I could get a two door base model in the robins egg blue/white color scheme with the Sasquatch package and a 2.3/manual with vinyl seats and rubber floors it would tickle me to death. And I’ll tell you what the secret sauce will be to get me to pull the trigger on one of the higher trim levels, and that is a hybrid version like the f150 powerboost.
Nice first Bronco! It would be great if Ford opened up the Heritage colors to the rest of the lineup. I think the base trims are underrated but it sucks that Ford is ditching it for the 2024 model. I'm sure Ford will end up finding a way to get a hybrid powertrain in the Bronco. I was in a Bronco Raptor recently and the 3.0L was great so I could only imagine how it would be with the 3.5L
@@CarsWithSteve yeah it would be nuts with the 3.5, but I would be happy even with a hybrid version of the 2.3 to get that little extra tip-in torque before the turbo comes on. I don’t get people talking down about that engine, the 2.3 is better than any engine that’s ever been put in a bronco in stock form, and the 2.7 and 3.0 are each even better.
Hybrid 2.3L turbo would be a really neat setup. The 2.3L in the new Mustang EcoBoost was able to get a 0-60 sprint in 4.5 seconds.. crazy what the 4 bangers are able to do. Have you had a chance to take a Bronco Raptor out for a spin?
Great video!
Thanks!
Not sure a 90’s bronco was the look they were going for
Throwback for the color scheme and body decals.. so.. kind of ;)
@@CarsWithSteve good content either way
Same price as a Range Rover, 😂
Cheaper to fix though ;)
Range rover out the door is more and maintenance of the rover is another story-i owned a rover.
Had multiple ranges , just bought the bronco.
JA der Ford ist Besser 👍, als.. Weiter so, wir nehmen den Ford 👌
