VW Touareg 5.0 V10 TDi | Long Term Owners Review | Pros and Cons, Economy, Servicing, Reliability

The Volkswagen Touareg V10 is an understated legend in the sleeper performance SUV category, but one which also comes with many horror stories about their reliability. So with that in mind, what is it actually like to own and live with one of these 5.0 V10 diesel monsters, with their excellent proportions, great handling and Viper eclipsing torque figures?
Well, here are my thoughts from the time I owned mine, to help better inform my fellow V10 fans who are considering taking the plunge on one of these appreciating monster diesels...

It actually doesn't have timing chain but timing gears.

I haven't driven the 4.2 tbh, so can't say for sure, but I've heard a lot of love from those who own 4.2 Touaregs at least.
