This is the look of pure love and joy. It can not be faked. It’s said so many times that the Tool Army are jealous we can’t experience the magic of Tool for the first time again, but watching you right now, it is the closest we can get, and I’m absolutely here for it 🌀🙌🏻
I’ve been into hard rock from its beginning (I’m 71) and Tool are the, by far, the top band imo. 🤟✌️ Yes, “Your favourite Tool song is the one you’re listening to”! 👍
Most bands are lucky to produce 2 or 3 songs that are legitimate musical and/or lyrical masterpieces; Tool might have one or 2 songs in their entire career that aren't absolute masterpieces but I can't think of any and i know 80% of their catalogue very well!
It's funny how people were like "There's only a few songs on the whole album, it can't be good". Well, those people cannot get Tool. This song is magical. I've listened to it at least a thousand times in the last 4 years and it NEVER gets old. None of the catalog of songs does. It is true though that whatever song is playing is my fav. They are that good. I envy you being able to listen to all of it new.
i hate them so much i have tickets for 3 show in a row later this year, Eugene, Portland, Tacoma---same as last tour, hope it doesnt take 2 year this time
Goosebumps...every time.🤯 The crown jewel of Fear Inoculum....after almost 4 years, still mind blowing. This band has no equal. As simple as that. Four aliens? Sounds about right.
So good to see many old Tool fans like myself (40-somethings) apprciate this for the pure quality it is. has everything a Tool song should have for me - the chill build up, Maynards vocals increasing in intensity, the harmonies, danny's drumming, justin and adam killing it; the time signatures, the build up's and drops, transitions and ending where it started. Pure class.
On their spring/summer tour in 2019 they played Decending and Invincible, a few month before the Fear Inoculum release. I saw them in June in Zürich, Switzerland, third time live experience for me, after 13years they came back to Switzerland. Every concert was absolutely epic and the last was probably the best I've seen. And Descending absolutely blew my mind that evening, everything was perfect, band, sound, videos and lightshow. I met a 73 year old there and after the show he told me he's seen Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin in the 1970/80 and Tool gave him the same vibe and feeling he experienced back then. Yes, Tool is a must see live band. Great reaction, keep it up!
Saw them in Prague on that same tour , when they played those two new songs ( invincible and descending) the whole stadium just went quiet , I knew at that point that Fear Inoculum was gonna be one of their greatest albums
This has become my favorite track, followed by Invincible. Now that you've heard this masterpiece, and I've seen your reaction, I consider you a brother in the Tool Army. Fucking welcome aboard brother, it's great to have you 👊🤘
My fave Tool song and one of my fave songs ever, I listen to it at least twice a week; it's so great to listen to at night in the dark with headphones on and just lose myself in it. Time ceases to have meaning while it's playing!
👽👽👽🐙 That's exactly how I describe my fav band ever... T⚙️🗜L I've been a hardcore T👀L army since I first heard them in 1990 since then everyday if my life I've listened to them. Sewn them live 12 times 13 will be this November 20th, 2023 in Toronto where I live. This truly excites me seeing people discover T👽👽L as a hardcore army member it brings me tremendous joy to watch these videos bc it takes me rate back to 1990 when I first heard them. Interesting fact about the band before they were called T♡♡L they use to be called Green Jellÿ I consisted of Maynard on vocals & Danny Carey drumming 2 members of what would become TOOL as we know it. Seeing T🎧🎧L live 12 times has been the closest thing to a space outer body experience that I have to my soul. Each every time live they took me out there far beyond earth 🌎 I mean to different dimensions galaxies w.e u wanna call it I was🪂floating in space 🌫🌌🌠 🛸👽🛰
You have quickly become one of my favorite reaction channels. Your facial reactions AND verbal reactions together are so much fun to watch, and so entertaining! Team choppy drops, lol, love it!
Someone once asked me what my favorite Tool song was and I replied “all of them”. No matter what is going on in your from happy to sad, there’s a Tool song right there to get you through it. Sometimes you want to chill boom Descending or want to get hyped up boom 46 and 2 or any other Tool song. This what happens when you take 4 people who are masters of their talent and tell the to form a band and make music.
.........................................................." in order to survive you, I must first survive myself "..................................................................
As others have said, a masterpiece within a catalog of masterpieces. I will add my vote to saying next step is probably to start at the beginning & work through chronologically. And yes, btw, this song gets better on repeat listens, especially once you digest the lyrics. “Profound” doesn’t do it justice. Cheers, mate!
Even as a lifetime tool fan, well from 1993 I still have trouble coming up with the word to describe how this music makes you feel. 🌀 I personally feel it's because this transcends music. This is a transmutation of the mind into 🧬 life experiences. No matter where you live or what language you speak or what continent you are on this band will effect you, change you. Open your eyes and alter your perspective to what's really important ❤ I always say that I love music but I live Tool 🔧🔧🔧 So the word I would use is LIFE CHANGING 🌀🌀🌀
When sevsimo drops a tool banger, you know it’s a good day! Awesome reaction man. This song is so fire! I would suggest listening to “stinkfist” audio next. One of my absolute favorites
I’m so glad you chose to listen to Descending because IMHO this is the greatest piece of music I’ve ever heard. You’re reaction was priceless. Exactly how I feel every single time I hear it. Speechless is how I’d describe my first listen and I’ve heard this masterpiece hundreds of times and I still LOVE it !!! This is the true meaning of the TOOL EXPERIENCE !!! Love your reactions, they are the truth !!!
Yes, the correct reaction is a minute or so of speechlessness, followed by a few minutes of disjointed babbling, then shaking one's head slowly in disbelief. Well done, sir!
Descending is Tools Masterpiece I think but there are still so many huge tunes. Stinkfist, H, Push it Fear Inoculum Sober and Opiate if you wanna go way back
You don’t see them live you experience their art and the mood and environment it’s like a sober shroom or dmt trip it’s unexplainable unless you’ve been there can’t wait for my next one one of my favorites just based off the live experience is culling voices almost brought me to tears
I've been listening to tool for 20 years. At 17, they were perceived strangely. Now I'm 40 and the more I listen to them, the more incredible I think they are.

Great reaction video! This is what TOOL does to us. I saw them in 2019 in Toronto. They played a few songs from Fear Inoculum, Descending was one of them. What a journey of goosebumps and chills. It’s one of, if not the most beautiful piece of music I’ve ever heard.
This is one of my top favorites! I loved your reaction of just pure amazement and joy...thats how I still feel every time I listen to it! Their cover of Led Zeppelin's No Quarter is another incredible journey! Ticks and Leeches is a Danny Thunder God extravaganza...so much exquisite art to revel in!
Considering the amazing lyrics and the sonic bludgeoning of the massive guitar outro, this is my new favorite song to listen to while the asteroid comes to obliterate the Earth

You should really go back and listen to earlier “angry” tool to appreciate how far they have come on their own individual journeys. Early tool is so raw and still each is a masterpiece. I love the title of your video. I've said it before...every new Tool song is your favorite song. And you need to see Tool live at least once. But asa huge fan I'm also willing to admit that it's not the most spectacular show. Danny is fun to watch if you're close. Maynard usually stays back and hidden. They don't move around a whole lot. But they sound great
this song seems to calm my brain so well. like a slow hypnosis. I love how tool just makes people burst into laughter, shock and amazement when the song hits just right. Every. Damn. Time.
Under normal circumstances I would consider myself a smart guy, but sometimes, when I first hear Tool or watch Dennis Miller, I need to break out a Thesaurus. 😂 Keep up the great reactions brother.

They were going to use a recording or manufactured ocean and waves sounds but the band wanted something more organic and real so Danny with the help of Adam Jones recorded all the ocean sounds at Danny’s house in Malibu Ca. So that’s what you hear at the beginning of the si g and ending. Ever the perfectionists the band went out if they
The whole fear innoculum is the shit. The summer this came out all the way until covid was the shit I used to listen to this album like twice a day. Pressed play the moment I stepped out the door on the walk to work and then same in the way home.
Buddy, it's time for you to check out Culling voices from this Fear Inoculum album. It is not as requested as it should be in my opinion.Gorgeous song, second best song after Descending for me. So calm, yet so powerful.
they announced fall arena tour in the states. keep an eye on their website for additional dates. dunno where you are but if they gonna tour this fall, I suspect they will release some winter tour dates sooner than later if we are lucky as there are quite a few cities missing that they usually stop at. hope you get to see them live man.
I live in Sydney Australia unfortunately man but thanks for the comment much appreciated! hopefully I can see them live one day that would be incredible!
didn't know exactly where you were but had a feeling it wasn't the states. hopefully they announce a leg of a tour down under man! keep riding the spiral and much love
felling much better my friend thank you and many more Tool reactions to come thats for sure! Okay awesome will check out the Undertow album also thanks for recommending it!
As a long-time TOOL fan who loves many songs, this is likely the best piece of music they have made.
I disagree, my friend.
I, however, agree. Def in contention
Certainly in the conversation! this and the Grudge are my top two, but just barely. So many others could qualify as “best” but certainly my favorite
next week it will be invincible. XD
One of my favorites for sure
This is probably one of the best songs ever composed

Why is my heart rate up? Seriously, I’m really glad to experience this with other people. Seeing them in October for the first time!
This is a top 5 Tool track!!! “Push it” is another top 5 off Aenima album.
“In it for a minute to win it” Well… 12 minutes later Tool is still crushing it. Best band of our time. Reminds me of Pink Floyd, going on a trip.
Most satisfying gong hit in all of music...
After Thousands of years, it is finally revealed to us why the Gong was invented
Best song ever produced in existence... For me anyways
Goosebumps...every time.🤯 The crown jewel of Fear Inoculum....after almost 4 years, still mind blowing. This band has no equal. As simple as that. Four aliens? Sounds about right.

The layer of grit and grime on that bass tone is really just the best. So, so filthy.
waiting for this reaction since the beginning as you know.......yeeehaaaa ....... let´s goooooooooo
Tool - No Quarter (Led Zeppelin cover)
The best cover song ever made.

Going to see them in Oct! Soooooo stoked.
Where will they be playing in October?!❤

Update: saw this live. Impossible to describe. Rosetta Stoned live also made it my new favorite of the month.
The word is TRANSCENDENT. You're welcome. 😁
After the long wait for this album, this song made me cry tears of happiness and confusion. It was/is indescribable the effect it had/has on me.
this song is incredible, my all time favorite Tool song and I'm glad you got around to it. gives me chills every time
My fave Tool song and one of my fave songs ever, I listen to it at least twice a week; it's so great to listen to at night in the dark with headphones on and just lose myself in it. Time ceases to have meaning while it's playing!

Considering the amazing lyrics and the sonic bludgeoning of the massive guitar outro, this is my new favorite song to listen to while the asteroid comes to obliterate the Earth
STOP! Do I have your attention? This too is one of my favorite TOOL tracks, as many have posted. It's masterful beyond compare, rising and falling, flowing and crashing.
Unfortunately, this song is about humanity's end. Humanity's terrible destruction of the planet. Humanity's disregard for the natural order of things. The collapse of society and whole scale ecological disaster. Read the lyrics. Hear the dire warnings and feel the urgent distress, repeated over and over. This is a wake up call to collectively change course before we bring ruin to everything. Profound is an understatement.
Free fall through our midnight
This epilogue of our own fable
Heedless in our slumber
Floating nescient we
Free fall through this boundlessness
This madness
Of our own making
Falling isn't flying
Floating isn't infinite
Come, our end, suddenly
All hail our lethargy
Concede suddenly
To the quickened dissolution
Pray we mitigate the ruin
Calling all to arms and order
Drifting through this boundlessness
This madness of our own making
Sound our dire reveille
Rouse all from our apathy
Lest we
Cease to be
Stir us from our
Wanton slumber
Mitigate our ruin
Call us all to arms and order
Sound the dread alarm
Through our primal body
Sound the reveille
To be or not to be
Rise
Stay the grand finale
Stay the reading of our swan song and epilogue
One drive to stay alive
It's elementary
Muster every fiber
Mobilize
Stay alive
Stir us from our
Wanton slumber
Mitigate our ruin
Call us all to arms and order.
tl:dr? Recycle or die.
