i thought it only fills the carb bowl, does it flood the engine if you keep pumping it?
Kevin it doesn't have a bowl like a typical carb. Just a diafram . You just want pump bubble few times after the lines were primed . Pull few times nice and slow to prime the engine , with choke on it should pop 1 to 3 pulls . # I was going buy bog hog today but maybe I should just grab one of these , really get alot more for your money even though it's 500 $ more
After it pops with choke on turn choke off , that's what you eluded too .

yes there is no valves that close off the cylinder so the fuel will squeeze past the reeds into the cylinder

Large scale are great. Always fancied a DBXL but the price of them now compared to when they first came out is unreal. Love a good curry as well, was out for 1 with my eldest lad last night 👍
Rc cars are just the best they're fun and cool and you can hang out with friends and play with'em like Kev's doing. 😄
The pull start will last a few tanks, they suck. Upgrade to a aluminium paw easy start system. Decent exhaust and a tune and it’ll be an animal

I don’t understand the stock exhaust but rocking a exhaust livery id prefer a mark up and a upgraded muffler on this model like the k&n got a special treatment.

Hey Kevin nice video. Yes it is a wise choice to go over ever screw on it right away had to with mine. Did a few videos on it. I used the side skirt plastic from the 2.0 electric as it doesn't have those on it. Will have to say that 32cc in there has ran absolutely perfect for me and only seems to run better the more tanks thru it. Hope to see more of it. Thanks for the great videos.

I love all the RC cars and truck’s you do vid’s on, I grew up a Tomboy and love em!! Still have a Blackfoot I picked up while in High School, (late 80’s, yes I’m old 😂) very sentimental to me to this day!.. Traded a Hornet for it. But I also have a TRAXXAS REVO 3.3 Nitro, about 13 years old and has probably 15 minutes of usage on it!.. lol…. But MAN you must have alot of money the way you rough them up!! lol…. No disrespect meant though Kevin Talbot!. 🙂 Love watching you stuff!.. 👍🏻

I have the DBXL 2.0 also and yes at first the body is tough to get closed but does loosen up after a few times, but you won't have to worry about that, and I lost the exact screw you did for the steering...but i like it to...great vid....

You're suppose to let the engine break in with almost a gallon of gas before gunning it or doing anything of that sorts and the reason it wasn't starting right away is because its not tuned right.

@@jme1917 no he said he will run again. It did take a beating. These 1/5 40lb + rigs aren’t meant to jump like that how Kev does. I think it’s a good overall package still. I also bought mine second hand and save a bunch of cash so I’m not too worried.
No need to run again it got a normal abit of abuse that it should be able to handle but didn't and u want him to launch it to the moon like he normally does that will be a hot mess 🤣😂

I love how friendly everyone you hang out with is. All having a good laugh. Nothing but fun. And I also really like how you guys/girls stay in a crowd and just kinda Meander through the area. All while just bashing around.
You may wanna loctite every screw on it. And also watch out for the fuel tank leaking. My friend had one and it was nothing but fuel leaks and parts vibrating loose. He used loctite on every screw and it helped. Just keep an eye on everything
X2 Pretty much every bolt on mine has come loose from the muffler falling off to the steering crank, motor mounts.... Somehow my fuel tank got a hole in the back and dumped gas all over the chassis, pretty awesome. Rear driveshaft set screws like to come loose no matter what it seems like aswell. It should come with a label in the box that says take the whole thing apart and put it back together with loctite. Pretty fun little car when it stays together though!

Hey Kev for a long range and bulletproof radio link for your speed run cars or other's in general, you should look at and consider the TBS Crossfire module and pwm receiver, or the newer ExpressLRS system which both boast miles of radio range at a very affordable price.
Does that lrs have a compatible pwm receiver?

I never bothered with the side clips on my mk1 DBXL. Too much faff and never an issue. 2-3 gentle pulls and then 1 proper pull and started no issues every time.

Hi kev, on ur Losi dbxle 2.0, try 500k oil in center diff, n put proline trencher wheels on it. Ajjam studios did it on his videos n it turns it into more of a beast.

Hey kev your losi looks so much cleaner than my old beast.if that's anything like mine was.lock tite those Allen bolts on the drive shafts.they are prone to keep coming loose..not only that the fuel tank always leaks from the rubber bung

Your meant to heat cycle n break in those gas rigs. They come set for break in on the carb. Once it's broke in u need to tune it.
Dbxl is a awesome if u do things right with it n the 12s dbxle beast edition is nuts

I wish Losi would include tuned pipes with the dbxl and 5ive, these lawnmower exhausts do nothing for performance and cleanliness, I like that they give you a battery for the receiver but give you nothing on the 5ive 🤦🏼♂️

I remember the gas cars from a couple decades ago.. my best friend had one.. it stayed broke.. didn’t last long.. the gas was blue.. but that thing was ripping..
That must have been a nitro. I bought one and sold it a few months later because of the unreliability.
I’m only fairly new here, do you ever do any retro cars? I saw the video with your original rc car but was curious if you would do/have done/have an opinion on the new Grasshoppers, and the Tamiya Blitzer Beetle. As a kid I lusted after one of those Beetles but my budget was only a $50 Black Cat from Kmart that blew through batteries quicker than that curry probably blew through you lol.
