The fact that army chief of Bangladesh let Hasina feel/escape to India and at the same time telling people of Bangladesh those responsible for the murder of Bangladeshis during this protest shows his hypocrisy. If he was sincere Hasina would not be allowed to leave Bangladesh as the violence, death of so many Bangladeshis happened only if Hasina gave those orders for a brutal crackdown. Furthermore the current army chief is known to be very close to Hasina and he cannot serve as a neutral arbitrator. He needs to stepdown. His incereity is further exposed when he is not going to allow the main opposition to be heard.

Finally Sheik Hasina paid her price, the Reservation of whopping 30% fr the people who participated in the Bangladesh Independence War is too much .When Unemployment problem is more in the Country exists, her approach towards Reservation is Uncalled for and she is liable to be taken to task.

From what I know, it was passed by the highcourt in a verdict. Not by Hasina.
After the protest the matter went to supreme court and the supreme court resolved it.
Prime minister is nowhere in the picture...
Also, if I remember correctly she was the one who actually tried to remove the reservation multiple times by taking the matter herself to the high court and supreme court...

But how many government jobs are there in Bangladesh? Google search suggests ~1.5 million, out of which some fraction may "open" every year (if existing employees die or retire, or the government machinery expands for some reason). We are talking of a few thousand jobs every year. How is this going to absorb the unemployed youth of the country, which is in the tens of millions? This is not to say that Hasina was not corrupt and autocratic, but ultimately it is not clear if she or any other leader who replaces her can create tens of millions of jobs out of thin air. Underlying all this sound and fury is the hard economic problem of entreprenurial creativity, a scarce commodity around the world.

It is better to keep the UNO in the loop, in order to offer international peace keepers in South Asia and, most of all, prevent CIVIL WAR in this country, post the forced exit of PM Hasina, who had used the law enforcement to crush her own citizenry. The World Bank, IMF, UN, etc., huge economic stakes in Bangladesh and they cannot afford to be just bystanders with a brewing CIVIL WAR knocking at their doorsteps
