This is really sad, because besides Gordon, Barney, and Eli, Dr. Kleiner really loved his employment at black mesa. He had many friends and allies who had worked with him through endless years of projects and excitement. It was like family to him, but all of it was taken away by a risk that mankind should have never took...
Gman was the one that got the sample. He was the one that told Breen what to do. Breen and Gman are to blame. A combine supporter and someone who is "not man." It's not a risk mankind took.

The only thing that could make this better is the sound of the secret door opening back there, and distant voice of Alex, inviting Gordon in the room, right as video ends.

+Bitterlead Castle, When first introduced, Kleiner is seen looking in a crate for Lamar. So, this animation wouldn't take place instantly before his introduction in Half-Life 2.
Maybe when Gordon and Alyx escaped from the destruction of nova prospekt, at that time Kleiner was very lonely with Barney fighting with the rebels, Eli is kidnapped by the Combine and Alyx and Gordon probably dead

I think Barney called him right after this scene, showing him that he found Gordon. He then started looking for Lamar, and that’s when Alyx shows up with Gordon
One thing I never think about in half life 2, is that Kliener lost basically everything. His job, his family, some of his closest scientist friends, all because of a weird looking yellow crystal.
And evil Aliens holding a portal open that the crystal created for evil parasites to attack

NemTieLea He was supposed to die in Half-Life Beta, getting sliced apart by the teleporter when trying to rescue Lamarr.
Well, seing how now he is pretty much the main leader of the resistance (trying not to spoil it to anyone), I think he'd have a REALLY big role :D

But Cleiner would have to do what he wanted to do in the teleporter room, close the door to the teleporter room, possibly close the door to where he kept the H.E.V. Suit, realise Lamar is missing and begin to search before Gordon and Alyx returned. I personally think that since the door is already open, maybe Alyx and Gordon have already teleported away, Barney has left to get back on his shift and Cleiner is now going to the teleporter room to clean it up or speak to Eli. When writing this I realised... WHERE DAFUQ DID CLEINER GET GORDON'S H.E.V. SUIT!?!?!

Maybe when Gordon exploded the casserole since the microwave is connected to electricity near the hazard lab, it messed up the scientific experience.. THAT DAMN CASSEROLE!

This video hits so hard with me considering how it reflects a lot of my recent experiences and emotions dealing with loneliness, nostalgia, change, and time. Of course, minus the fact that it's not like I had a friend who became like "Dr. Breen" and betrayed everyone, but more so of how I think about the old days of when my friends and I used to chat and play games almost every single night.
Then everything changed in a blink of an eye when we suddenly became older, focused on other priorities, or moved on from each other.
There was no warning. There were no direct events that led to this happening, it just happened naturally, slowly, and painfully.
I now follow my own pursuits independently, but sometimes, there are the days where I look back on my younger years and wonder why things changed. It's made me realize how life is a lonely journey no matter how many people you meet because they will come and go.
At the very least, there's a conversation that comes up every 1-2 months, but even then, it's not like how it was before.
At the end of the day, I'm always wondering when the next conversation will arise...or if it ever will.

I don't know if anyone else feels like how I do from this video, but I felt like sharing it.
In the heat of every fun moment, you'll never realize how many memories you're making, so make the absolute most out of them.

The SFM community is plagued with shitty FNAF animations and the bad bunches of HL2 and TF2. These videos.. no.. These channels! Need to be recognized even more for their amazing creations within such a story. Kudos to you my friend!
i don't think hl2 and tf2 sfm animations are bad,but i must agree,we don't see animations like these often and,i wish there was more of them,but i tottaly agree about the shitty fnaf animations tough,they really ruin sfm,but yeah,theres still a lot of good sfm animations,so i guess i'll not worry about those fnaf animations,but anyways,this animations is kinda..kinda makes you emotional and all,its great
Everyone has different standards. Most people want a light-hearted escape from emotion, rather than something serious and thought provoking.
But you're right about stuff like this deserving more recognition, I don't really even like comedy anyway.
The only FNAF animations that suck are the shipping ones.... With those in accurate models and those grin eyes they always use...
And sadly most of them are that like that.
@@Patolagos Yeah theres some good ones that tell the story and don't focus on the animatronics i mean the humans for the story are the ones that should be more focused on, but still i think that half life and tf2 sfms are way way better than the bad and good version of fnaf sfm

Even though Gordon doesn't speak, it seems like he has a personality here with a smile showing his optimism. In the games, you see everything through his eyes, so it's hard to make out his personality.

That made me cry honest;y, been a fan of HL for the longest time and seeing such animation like that gives a tear in my eye, yet its so simple but so right, you caught the eyes of many by doing something so simple yet so effective.

Only 10 people survived the Black Mesa disaster, 10 people of the probably thousands that were employed there, I really wonder what happened to the other people that survived it and not see in the HL games

Yes, people that survived the Black mesa accident know what it was like to be in there, everyone in there was a friend. Me and barney have rescued most of the scientists but it took me some time to go back and rescue dr.Coomer at last seconds. Good times sometimes dissapear.

When all the motion and fast phasing of the game slow down you can see so many nostalgic and depressing things in Half-Life 2, and this hear is a great emphasis on one of them. Good work!
This reminds me of every time i look at photos of my old crew back in south africa doing shark research... Those were the days. Scuba diving through kelp forests, getting drunk every night going over data, going on safari. Best time of my life.. But all things end.
I don't know if you are serious, but I do have an interest in that specific topic. And I do know the feeling of the 'good old days.' It really sucks taking a trio down memory lane sometimes. Both the good times, and the bad. But all you can do is just keep on going. If you are serious, have any tips for an amateur shark researcher?

At the end of Half-Life 1, the G-man put Gordon Freeman in a state of suspended animation. Eli Vance even notes that Gordon doesn't look like he's aged a day in the past 20 years. Kleiner, however, was not.
cesλr well freeman was in stasis so he's still 27 years old Biologicaly ......
He's 47 in half life 2. In half life 1, when he was 27, he was put into stasis by Gman. He basically was frozen like captain America for 20 years.
Yes, but being frozen, it completely negated aging effects, as his vital body organs were completely disabled, and so if that happens, the body can't age. It can only decay due to no vital signs, but Freeman could not decay due to G-Man putting him in a 20-year "sleep" in the void, where there are no biological creatures, therefore he can't be "recycled". And it's better like this, this made it possible that Alyx could "hit" on Freeman, and not a 50-year old guy with white hair, that's well-thought, in my opinion
