Dear everyone: Yes, the bomb does in fact change color towards the end of the video. But, after 78 hours of rendering, there was nothing that could be done about it. I know i am late but this Sfm was actually inspired by Star wars there was a battle droid nearly broken due to it's head being half blown up it then ran away from the fight and the giant robot came and command it to return to the battlefield the droid then rejects and tried to ran away but reaches to the end of a cliff and you know what happens

This reminds me of a star wars comic where a battle droid get shot in the head and got thoughts and ran fro mthe war then a b1 battle droid went to grab him to put him back in his place but both fell off a cliff and the b2 droid got his thoughts after the fall and did not want to die then he did. The other droid then died due to power but then got plugged in again later to be a farming droid it's highly reminds me of that robots and everything

Unfortunately, this most likely isn't the case for actual MvM, as they don't exactly stop to see if we'll fight back, they just come at us with the intention of killing. Though, if this were the case, I'd probably stop playing MvM
I mean, nobody is used to see robots with feelings. Plus, uh, they're mercenaries. Their only job is to kill or destroy, so i don't know if they would stop to think if they are friendly (because they're 2 out of thousands) and risk their lives.
It's so nice to see a Team fortress drama entry that isn't just "Somebody died, and somebody else is pretty upset about it." Well, it wasn't for the most part. Either way, good job not being like every other TF2 Drama video.
Actually the soldier's smile at 3:41 means kind of a lot if you think about it. He realises the robots are more human than he thought.... And for a moment he snaps out of his war mood, feeling happiness and amazement, but really quickly he extinguishes those feelings(he is a soldier, no matter what happens he cant let his guard down). Its a war going on, and he has to complete his orders. Very, very nice.

This video made me cry. The ending is just a kick to the balls of your heart. It just hurts to imagine how the Sniper felt watching his Heavy friend burn to death, And how the Heavy bot watched Sniper suicide to deploy the bomb. Its a great animation after 6 years. And i enjoy watching it all the time.
You know what it reminds me of a Star Wars comic come a common grade battle droid stepped on a landline and when he hit his head he got his own free will but when a Super Droid chased after him and he lost his arm shooting at him and after those two fell off a cliff and the superdroid gets the same exact thing it's free will but it died shortly afterwards the common grade battle droid walked over to a hill and watch all his friends get destroyed in the distance and his energy Corp ran out and he died about 10-15 years later and Farmers found him bring him back and he became a worker for Farm on the planet.
This is reminiscent of that one star wars comic where a b-1 becomes sentient and runs away from battle, and then another Droid is sent to hunt them down. I'm guessing it was the inspiration for this sfm, so, neat
I get that this would be what most people want, the BLU Sniper surviving the explosion and happily living forevermore. But if the BLU Sniper DID survive, then that would ruin the ENTIRE point of his sacrifice. He led RED team to the bomb, KNOWING that he would die in the process, all just to save the Heavy.

No, there needs to be a fan extension where a BLU Engineer repairs the robo-heavy and turns him into a character of his own, basically a TF2 freak like the Scombine but with a more tragic backstory.

That's the best thing about tf2 the characters can protay so many emotions without saying anything but more of how they get along with the rest of the chatacter
This animation follows the same story from a STAR WARS comic. A B1 Battledroid becomes conscious of what is really happening, and deserts. A Grappledroid then tracks him down for deserting. The B1 tricks the Grappledroid into falling off a cliff, but the Grappledroid grabs the B1 and they fall. It ends with the two talking deeply, only to die. The B1 dies from low battery power.
Ok, from now on, there should be an easter egg of a one-eyed heavy bot wearing the Bolted Bushman in every MvM map overlooking the whole match. Change my mind.
Gray Mann is the stupidest out of all the brothers. "Hmm, I wonder if I should put the bomb on this 60,000 HP giant heavy with headshot resistance and back armor, wielding a minigun - no, massivegun that creates a ring of flames around it and does 500 dps with 100% guaranteed critical chance with knock back, healed by 20 uber medics and 3 giant quick-fix medics, escorted by Sire Nukesalot, Major Crits and an army of crit-boosted soldiers, pyros and engineer bots? Nah, imma just put it on this random back line sniper.
This reminds me of a Star Wars comic I read years ago. A Separatist Battle Droid hit its head and becomes aware, and runs through a forest as it discusses philosophy with a Super Battle Droid sent to retrieve it.

Somebody here once asked "Why did the Red team waste so much time going out of their way just to kill 2 robots? What about the whole rest of the wave?" I didn't know either, but then I realized: A wave doesn't finish until all the non-support robots are dead (support bot does not equal support class). Sniper bots are usually support, but Heavy bots typically are not. We don't know how much time passed in between the time they both fell off the cliff and when they both came back on. What if the Red team destroyed every other part of the wave, but saw that 2 remaining robots somewhere on the map kept the wave from officially ending? Maybe they split up and searched for the last two robots, thinking that they didn't need to be together to fight them since it's only 2 bots. Then, their Soldier found them when the robot Heavy was trying to fix the robot sniper, and when he fired the rocket, his team came running, hoping that it meant he found them, then so on and so forth.
holeeeeee shit. The emotional impact of the film is excaerbated by astoundingly well paired music. If I had been playing TF2 in 2014 and this hadn't won the saxxy, I would have been really pissed off. This film is just..... damn.
I do like how it goes from a simple funny kind of animation until the part where everyone arrives in the battle field then the drama starts to get real at the ending where sniper bot deploys the bomb, killing him, the 6 players, and the other bots, but heavy still lives somehow. overall it is a really good SFM from simple to dramatic

May I just say, I love videos that are robot themed, because then if there realy isnt any speaking, emotion is portrayed through action, and expression, and this video nails that perfectly! Amazing entry, and I'm glad it won best drama~! ^u^
Idiot CandyCorn check out "Zero to Hero", a SFM animation about rocket jumping. It does this just well with next to no speaking, using regular tf2 characters (not the robots).

Wasn't his fault. The defective sniper shot the scout in front of it by mistake, so the automated system selected it instead.

Somebody here once asked "Why did the Red team waste so much time going out of their way just to kill 2 robots? What about the whole rest of the wave?"
I didn't know either, but then I realized: A wave doesn't finish until all the non-support robots are dead (support bot does not equal support class). Sniper bots are usually support, but Heavy bots typically are not. We don't know how much time passed in between the time they both fell off the cliff and when they both came back on. What if the Red team destroyed every other part of the wave, but saw that 2 remaining robots somewhere on the map kept the wave from officially ending? Maybe they split up and searched for the last two robots, thinking that they didn't need to be together to fight them since it's only 2 bots. Then, their Soldier found them when the robot Heavy was trying to fix the robot sniper, and when he fired the rocket, his team came running, hoping that it meant he found them, then so on and so forth.
Makes sense.

holeeeeee shit. The emotional impact of the film is excaerbated by astoundingly well paired music. If I had been playing TF2 in 2014 and this hadn't won the saxxy, I would have been really pissed off. This film is just..... damn.

I do like how it goes from a simple funny kind of animation until the part where everyone arrives in the battle field then the drama starts to get real at the ending where sniper bot deploys the bomb, killing him, the 6 players, and the other bots, but heavy still lives somehow. overall it is a really good SFM from simple to dramatic

Idiot CandyCorn check out "Zero to Hero", a SFM animation about rocket jumping. It does this just well with next to no speaking, using regular tf2 characters (not the robots).
