We need this as a game, a sequel to opposing force. Adrian Shephard needs more screen time, he is is well a trained and well armed military personnel compared to a scientist and a security guard.

I feel sorry for the guy, all his friends died at Black Mesa, he couldn’t save them and suddenly he is zapped to City 17! Talk about being dropped into the middle of a conversation with no clue as to the topic.
@@locho41 He had some very vague stuff, he hears his squad lead yell something about find freeman as the guy gets tossed out of the osprey, then later when he actually links up with the HECU as they withdraw during what would be surface tension he meets an officer who ask him about if he found freeman and then says well forget it were withdrawing but never actually clarifies. So at no point is he actually told who freeman was or why they were actually sent for him just that he finds out they were searching for someone named freeman, He doesn't even get the first name Gordon from what I recall?
Wait holy shit that was fking amazing! I loved that transition part with Shepard being reinstated in modern time too :D If HL3 ever comes I hope they introduce Shepard in a similar way
In hl2 Gordon is in Europe. What happened to the US? Isn't there more citadels? Opposing force 2 could answer this. And it could take place in the US. Maybe at the end of the game. He travels to the arctic regions. And meets up with Gordon in HL3. Heck, valve could even make a coop multiplayer

Loved the cinematography and in-shot choreography. Quality is also good and compared to your previous submission it's a huge step forward. There are few flaws and most of them are in the fighting scene. For example all shots were filmed with tight FoV, which made it hard for me as a viewer to analyze and see what was happening and where, a few wide shots and shots with enemies and grunts in the same scene could've helped it a lot. The other thing is the firefight itself, the amount of missed shots to amount of succesful hits felt scripted and underdone. Overall it's a good HL film and we difinately need more of these!
+Deviant Pictures Films Thanks! Yeah no film is without their flaws, I had run into many development issues over the last three months working under time constraints. My limited hardware meant that I was working under 3-5 frames per second in playback so the animation was botched in some instances in my opinion. So I kept the shots tight when working with pose-to-pose since I don't have the funds for mocap. As far as Storm Trooper Aim, well lets just say its not as exciting had they just killed the thing there, but thanks for the feedback! :)
There's the thing about the apparent lack of recoil, too. Don't forget about that, it's strange to watch guns fire full auto while only moving like 2 centimeters.

To those who wonder if Adrian Shephard will return in Half life 3/Episode 3: He kind of have to, that's a part of the story that has been left unresolved and let's face it, if half life 3 ever gets made, that would definitely be the very last game valve ever makes so that they can focus completely on selling other people's games. They would have to tie up all loose ends so that they could shut up all the fans too.

I always wondered why Black Mesa has (seemingly) endless pits around the facility. If they didn't have them, and put something in the spaces (like ground idk), maybe their squad leader wouldn't have fell into his demise.
Black Mesa was built on an already existing decommissioned ICBM launch facility from the 1950s. Those pits likely contained nuclear weapons and radioactive weapon storage before being converted into the Black Mesa labs.
I mean... You can say whatever you want about freeman and barney, but Shepard is the most badass from the bunch. He's a highly trained and skilled soldier, he watched his friends die for no good reason, and even then, he never gave up on his mission.
I REALLY want this to be a series. This would make a really good one too since during the 7-hour war the US was kicked to its knees and all of its military was put into Combine order, just the idea of having Shepard going around and fucking with the Combine is poetic in a way. If this was a series, I'd happily give my voice. Even though I'm 16 I can still do voices.
It'll be so cool to see Shepherd again. Imagine the stories from the Combine talking about a Green Eyed Man destroying bases and the Resistance soon gets wind and want to see if the stories hold truth.
We need a sequel to Opposing Force! We saw Adrian Shepard get brought to Zen and put in stasis just like Freeman was, so he’s still alive and G-Man is just waiting to bring out the battle hardened marine.

I found his story heartbreaking playing Opposing Force. His friends die, and being unable to save his brothers in arms, only to be put into limbo.
