How to Repair Phantom 3 Gimbal

- Broken gimbal on your Phantom? Us too...but not any more. We bought a kit online and fixed it. This video shows us repairing the gimbal, making mistakes, and figuring them out. This is not really a step by step video, but it does show the mistakes that we made and how we solved them. The process took about one hour and fifteen minutes, but we condensed the video down to around 30 minutes.

I screwed up on the same gimble part with the flat bar with out notice and put it all back together, the freaking camara started violently spinning and turning like the exorcist movie and the got super hot, had to tear it all back down to square one....and yes!! ALWAYS TAKE PICTURES BEFORE YOU START DISASSEMBLING anything, you will be glad you did and save yourself hours of looking up info on TH-cam.
"mistakes are part of this..." Much respect for these two highly untrained drone technicians for pushing ahead into unknown territory knowing the odds of destroying the machine were almost equal to the likeliness of success.

Hallo, how can i replace roll arm?
I have an issue after an accident the Flexible Gimbal Flat Ribbon Flex Cable broke and I ordered a new one and installed it once I install it camera because craze as it in your Video . I tried to do as you did no luck same issue I ordered a new Gimbal Roll Arm & Motor . I installed them but same issue camera is very crazy please let me know if you can help

Im trying to repair my dji 3 standard also but i have a problem with the flat grey cable that goes from the drone to the gimbal. The plastic connector where the cable hooks in has come of the gimbal so im trying to find a replacement but does anyone know how that piece is called or maybe has a part number?

after all the camera repairs, how was the quality of the camera? Any "jello" or shaking on the quality? I have a P3Advanced and I crashed it withing 4 ft high and the camera has not been the same since. I have re-aligned the two shafts from both arms which they tend to loosen up after a crash and that eliminated the shaking, but I can't get rid of the "jello" effect.
The camera seems the same as it was before the crash. Gimbal is stable, can't tell any difference from original. That said, the repair process is tedious, so be ready for it. Thanks for watching!
Ready Set Drone I have crashed my drone at 170' and the camera was the same. After I got the sap off. If you camera is acting odd ask DJI for help they will fix it if you have been flying your drone as normal and not modifying it.
hi am using dji phantom 3 pro till date my drone was working fine today i got this mess " no image transmission signal " can plz help me the Gimbal is working fine but i see image or live video output from camera
I had that problem with my Inspire 1. The problem for me was clearing the "video cash" out of my ipad, and it was not the gimbal or Inspire
You should have replayed after the repair the footage from when you crashed the Drone
I have a phantom 3 standard where the gimble quite working for no reason and haven't gotten it to work since, it's been over a year now. Tried everything says gimble error and can't update firmware on the drone at all. Don't know where to turn would love to fix it. Any ideas?

I crashed my drone ripped the gimbal off, amazon sent the wrong ribbon after I took it apart. 3 weeks later I had 5 screws left over.... two flights after that my DJI phantom standard just made odd beeps. As requested by DJI i sent the a video of my problem. They sent me a ups sticker I sent them my drone one week later I got a a new drone. I'm glad I didn't have to do this. The invoice said 180us$ 4 new motors and ECU. DJI rocks if you have documents they do take care of there customers and 180$ is not a lot of money for a new drone of this caliber
