I understand how you feel. I put a lot of pressure on myself to create videos while hiking the PCT this year. Then when I got behind on editing and posting the videos, I’d stress out about it. Enjoy your time on trail. You’re right in that it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. There are so many special moments that happen in trail. Don’t miss a single one of them. ❤️

Mari I 100% see this being a blessing in disguise. I hope you are able ot really enjoy and challenge yourself in other ways on this late half of the trail. I love forward to seeing the videos later on but I think living in the present moment and knowing you gave the PCT your all is so important. The rest of us will just have to read your amazing instragram content for now :) As for my Q&A: How often do you find yourselves hiking with others? What is a habit that you have picked up that you didn't have before the trail?

If only it was me,im sure i couldnt fully experience the hike for all it truly is,and what i end up making it out to be,to a audience that hangs on my vlog as a timed shared experience and a personal outlet for whatever the reason the viewing subscriber's will maybe!
With a partner in tow and living in every minute surely will render magical moments together,alone,in a natural state of serenity and a calmness of isolation,mesmerising,internalising a feeling of oneness in all.
The need to lean on the only shoulder you know in a gathering of two souls walking a tried and testing path,till the end of the road and knowingly when you finish,there is another path only you two will walk,and change the world to get along together and realise,you have both been part of a life trial that you both walked as a trail!
Walk without us....and when you finish,we will walk with you again!Keep on,keeping on!

Just a questions about tents. My GF and I are doing the PCT next year are undecided if a 3 person tent is practical. Now that you and Nick have been out there for a bunch of time would you consider sizing up your tent? Would a 3 person be an issue out there re space take up in camping areas, specially early on?

Daym, you're the third person I was following on the PCT who have had to stop or just stop vlogging it. Even the last one is having thoughts of not finishing due to family concerns. Daym daym daym.
Well Mari you're accumulating a lot of data so be super careful with your data storage. It's not a matter of if external hard drives will fail but when. So back up your files religiously, to at least 2 places and send hds home regularly.
Hey Mari and Nick. Not to worry. this is your journey and yes we have enjoyed being apart of the first half and the second half should be for you and Nick to enjoy. Finish on a high strong footing. Maybe just do a picture or two on instagram to tell us how its going. Be present in the moments :) we will be here rooting for you all to finish safely and happily :) Xx

Hi Mari, So sorry about your iPad! I have a question if you do a Q&A video. I’m considering buying a Stratospire 2 tent. Can you share about if the inner mesh hangs in your face or on your feet while laying down or sitting up, if you get wet in heavy rain, how it holds up in strong winds, and your overall likes and dislikes about the tent? Hope you and Nick are doing well. Thanks!

So here's my question, I am also an expat Cali girl who is currently living in Scotland and has dreams of going home to hike the PCT some day, how is it being back in California on a trip like this after living somewhere foreign for a while? Is it nostalgia overload?

When the Universe is sending you signs ... :) Planning to do the PCT in the next few years, and indeed one of the smaller worries is that all the editing and recording will take away from the ‘magic’. However, do want to inspire others to do the same so will go ahead.

I have a question for the Q&A I'd love answered! I follow many PCT hikers and see the day-to-day life, but never hear much talk about difficulty or skill level needed for the PCT. My husband and I are a healthy, semi-active couple in our late twenties. Is is possible to start a thru hike without a lot of previous hiking experience?? Is it more physical or mental strength on the PCT or a combo of both? Thanks!
If you check out Second Chance hiker here on TH-cam you'll see someone who had zero experience tackling the trail. Id really recommend watching the Homemade Wanderlust channek - Dixie has great how to vids along with a new series this summer for beginner backpackers. Shes one of the best. So Id recommend that you check it out!
@@jdwpjdwp I actually follow Dixie already!! She is great...and I know she talks about zero experience on the AT when she did that, but not PCT. I've only ever been drawn to the PCT. Second Chance Hiker is very inspiring too, but I feel like my age and possible fitness level would match Mari more. So I am curious to see what she would say :)
What was something you did not expect on the trail that you didnt think about or maybe should have prepared for?
Questions: how to you manage the time of month on the trail? I can’t image a diva cup being sanitary 😬
They are very sanitary. The internet is full of information in regards to the diva cup. Worth a Google search
I’m referring to dumping it out on the trail. You are supposed to boil them and on the trail you cannot, nor do you have the cleanest hands to take it out and reinsert it
