Patuna Chasm is magnificent! I’d love to see hiking and travel vlog videos, along with travel tips. I’m back in the U.S. now for two years and RADcarhire keeps sending me great offers. I finally wrote back and said “I’ll be there as soon as COVID is under control.” They were kind enough to write a note of encouragement. Kiwis are lovely people! Congrats Mari, I followed you on your journey and when I saw you got the 100,000 plaque, I thought YOU EARNED IT. I am sad though... I was hoping to see more you Nick and you.... I was thinking maybe you were going to do the epic end-to-end New Zealand trail (I forgot the name of it....) I really liked the fact that both of you never seemed to want the focus to be on YOU, but on the journey. THAT my friend, is awesome. I personally am not interested it the travel thing.... I want to see you two out there slogging it out on the trail!!!! Seriously though, I wish to see more of you two soon. Miss ya!!!

And I've had NO reason to stop watching :) That PCT trek, deserves an award itself. Awesome seeing you again. The Patuna Chasm looks spectacular. As far as future videos...anything you decide, will watch :) Sure, whatever travelling you can do and film, general day in the life, maybe cooking stuff..it all works. Hope things in NZ are going ok. Also, I'm rewatching all your hiking.and van life videos as I was unable to dp the hike like I wanted to as my kidneys failed and im on dialysis 4 times a week. Your videos are keeping me very entertained:)

Hi Mari, congratulations on reaching 100, 000 subscribers, or actually 101, 000 according to the description now. Don't worry, you will reach 500 billion subscribers before you know it!!! LOL. Seriously though, you really do amazing videos and you definitely deserve the award. I was doing cartwheels getting 100 subscribers and I am nearing 200 now. I may even catch up with you in a few hundred years or so!!! Here in Melbourne, we were locked down most of 2020. That was great fun!!! Masks are so common here, if anyone is out without a mask, everyone looks at them as if they are from another planet or something!!! You mentioned about the Wellington weather. That brings back some great memories of my trips there years ago. Unfortunately, I never visited the Patuna Chasm. Travelling videos around Wellington, would be great to see. I haven't been there since 1979 and i would imagine that there have been a lot of changes since then. I have added your channel into my Featured Videos now, which makes it a bit easier to find you and comment. Anyway, take care and all the very best. Robert.

You truly deserve it! I am so happy for you mari! I know this would be a ton of work but I would love to see a video where you do like a scratch off map or something of all the places that you have been to in the order you went to them. I know over the years you basically have a lot of that discussed on here but I would be super interested to see it all in one video. Also I would be interested to hear about how you became interested in the places that you have traveled to (i.e. what made you want to do a working holiday visa in australia & new zealand and what made you want to do the PCT) would be very interested in hearing how you weighed the pros and costs of those decisions.

Congrats on getting the award. I think you were lucky to get it so fast. Some TH-camrs I watch, really had to fight with TH-cam to get it. One channel I know, passed 100,000 almost a year ago. She is now at 123,000 and last I heard, she still hadn't received the Play Button.

I know you said you haven't been motivated to make videos this year, but it was the exact opposite for me. Something about being in quarantine flipped on the switch and I've been finally bringing my own TH-cam Channel to life with a new video each week. Maybe because quarantine life is so lonely and making videos feels like I'm hanging out with friends? Hahahhaha
That’s awesome! Yes I totally get that. I think one reason I liked making videos when I was solo traveling was because it made me feel more connected. 😊
@@mari.johnson I definitely felt connected to you when watching your PCT videos (which I loved) because it felt like I was right there on trail with you. Watching your videos helped me relive a lot of my own PCT hike hike and brought up all the good thru-hiking feels. :)
