We did not hear anything indicating that centrifugal clutch was disengaging and then reengaging. It looks like something was clearly wrong with its belts because when we tried it one more time the next day, we saw the whole belt set up went on fire again and one of the belts got shredded to pieces. After such fiasco we were definitely done with this wood chipper.
Was the engine bogging down such that the RPMs dropped to the point that the centrifugal clutch was disengaging and then reengaging?
