Hola, would you mind making a session about the earlier swales, even when those arn't the most topic? I'm wondering about the state after a year about :)
It's too cold for things to grow there. Let spring come around and we will see more volunteers appearing there. Once more water gets retained due to changing soil structure (roots from previous volunteer plants) more will show up. It's going to be a while until we as humans will do something there. It's too far away from the center.
@ProjectGranjaCaimito Actually, without more human interaction, it's interesting. What happens when it's left alone to just gather water and let nature do it's thing. The reason I'm curious, is if it could be done in a large scale. Dig out swales or ponds to collect water, and the leave it be because there isn't enough people and economy to give it the excelerated touch that permaculture can give. Edit: I'm thinking of a larger scale than your farm. More like what was done in the Arizona desert back during the depression.
Yes. Once there is more natural activity as the temperatures rise again. It will show how these structures look like without any further human intervention.
Schön, dass es wieder etwas Neues von dir gibt.
This is good to see. I'm glad you're back.
Life is always interesting but also a struggle ;-)

Thank you for the update.
Peaceful , and beautyful place.
It really is! Once in a while we visit the humans :-)
Thank you for reminding us about not having your own excavator.
Everything looks alright.
I have also been requesting for a video on the swales for a few months now. May be in Spring time he will give us a glimpse.

We have a backhoe but the CAT 320 makes a quick job out of what takes weeks with a tiny backhoe.
