I used to work at the old Mapes hotel fifty years ago as a busboy/waiter. Grew up mostly in Reno. Lots of good memories of the Biggest Little City in the World! And I used to live in the old Frandsen Apt downtown.

Very informative. Great videoography. I believe that bowling alley was used in the movie Kingpin. Funny movie. I've been there once in early 2000s. My buddy lives in Sparks. Hopefully I get back there again. Enjoyed and Subscribed!

I'm a Nevadan Reno has changed so much, some for the good some for the bad and some well very bad. The good is mid town they got rid of alot of the run down motel that had all the druggies living in them cleaned that area up and it's nice to visit nice restaurants. The bad alot of the good casinos closed and they've turned them into apts/townhouses ie. Harrahs and the actual ""Downtown"" is now ran down with alot of the actual building closed you showed sierra street but not Virginia in front of the existing casinos that's were the very bad comes in the actual natives ""locals"" will no longer go there why you ask well the homeless amd vagrants panhandling smoking dope passed out on the sidewalks. You're a very good statement ESPECIALLY during the daytime because WARNING DONT GO DOWNTOWN AT NIGHT there's stabbings and mugging and crime is high 1 street over from where this was filmed this is just being completely transparent from a person that litterally lived here there entire life i hiss a REAL local and you showed the BELIEVE sign thats homeless park its super scetchy but you cover yourself again saying ONLY DAYTIME 😂 I love Reno rhe new reno is more dangerous than when i was a kid running around im trying to give you a different view from not be negativite but honest and transparent BE SAFE DOWNTOWN RENO

Hi. I think the downtown casinos and small tourist shops below them will be under the wrecking ball....or implosion. These buildings and spaces will be better used as living or new office spaces. Maybe a park too. Anyway, that's what I see in the future.

While the country outside of Reno is still beautiful the downtown area was vacant spooky and looked apocalyptic. Not the wonderful place l lived and worked in for years. Was there recently and not comfortable walking downtown at night
