Thank you Dr.Siddiqa for this brilliant exposition of how the military has hijacked Pakistan's present and future. I hope more Pakistanis can learn from you and ask for real change in their country. The average Pakistani on the street has suffered for far too long, and in the mean time all these generals are enjoying their posh retirements in Canada and their Papa John franchises and so on...

Pakistan's battle for democracy is a complex war. Famine have occurred under the watch of PPP in Thar, people came out to the street due to lack of electricity when PPP was ruling. It disillusioned upper and middle class with democracy and they switched to PTI. Pakistan Army is tyrant but not incompetent buffoon like Zardari. I am staunch a supporter of Nawaz Sharif, between Bajwa and Zardari I will choose Bajwa. PMLN had the most competent government in the history Pakistan. If PMLN can turn Pakistan economy around like the last tenure then the mass will stand up for democracy.

Madam you are absolutely wrong about Indian Army, Indian Army is neither involved in any business within the service or after retirement.

Madam,Army is the arbiter of Pakistan's destiny ,the rest is a political circus played out since 1947.
