Pakistan looted by the Army . A second lieutenant becomes a general . On retirement all generals are billionaires . From where the money came ? It is a dead story . Who will listen ? We lost one part . In such a scenario the survival of the country looks bleak . The USSR disintegrated because of economic collapse . The Army was there . We are heading as a failed state . One must listen to it & understand the scenario . Allah Malik .

pakistan is a text book case of medieval oppression. its fate was sealed at partition by choosing feudalism instead of democracy. high intensity religious fervour was used for this purpose.
the preoccupation with religion has been kept artificially high. it is in order to preserve the control of feudal vested interests.
the path to decency is now very indecent.
history of societies suggests that only a very violent upheaval could create a chance of freedom of the individual and democracy.
despite it being a violent and violence approving society, there is no hint of such upheaval. good violence is totally absent, while there is a great deal of bad violence.

It was a useful discussion and insight into the military political complex. She explained it well.
Military is corrupt and they don’t even know it. DHA and military procurement process is corrupt . Unless independent biding process is adopted , corruption will remain . I agree with her that military capacity needs to be cut by 25%. Military needs to stop moving into agriculture areas.
We are becoming like Egypt, everything is controlled by Army (CC). Country is poor , tourism and $1B from U.S. runs the country of 70M. No growth.
Pakistan is 250 M nation, needs political stability and cuts in Military and government enterprises.
Let the private sector develop the country.

    • @hassanbokhari7679
      @hassanbokhari7679 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

Military's involvement in business is corruption. The private sector cannot develop unless military is removed from private sector. All militaries in normal countries are on a budget. They don't have these side businesses the way Pakistan army has. It's absolutely criminal. By some estimates they control 30% of the economy. Now in order to retain these goodies, they have to get involved in Politics to keep the system weak so one questions their crimes. This has been going on for 70 years.

Punjabis don't have that in them. Their genes r different. They r highly communist mindset. They think everything shd come as free . They don't understand economics. The jutt jamindar mindset hate Banias . Only Punjabi bania understand wealth creation . But they all were hindu and khatri and all went to India.
This mindset is prevalent in Punjab of India too. That's why state fiscal r very bad . Punjabis have Zamindar mindset also called chaudhary mindset. They Only know how to take wealth by force on basis of muscle power . They also live in Foolish concept of martial race which British gave them , not bcoz they were better than others but bcoz they were most Loyal to British. Today Americans consider human quality by muscle as least desired. They know war is moving to total machines and tech that's why they r recruit large number of women in army too.
But these Punjabi fojis will keep on extracting wealth from Pakistan forever. There is consensus in many Punjabi civilians too to support the fojis as most have some relative in foj .

The women of Pakistan are much more fierce, outspoken and brave than the men. Asma Jahangir used to criticise the military’s role in politics with a fearlessness. Ayesha Siddiqua does not mince words about their corporate excesses. And now Mahrang Baloch is standing up to their oppression. When the men stop striking deals with them for their short-term gains and show courage like these women, Pakistan will finally be free from these uniformed tyrants.

My view point is that our intelligentsia and media always supported establishment and they never supported politicians since creation of pakistan. In other words media is in the hands of establishment and so is with so called intellectuals. So long as media and agents sitting in media do not realize and change their stance, Pakistan will not move forward an inch, alternatively establishment realize it.

Excellent discussion by Dr Siddiqa , true if Punjab is Bifurcated into 2/3 parts we will not have a repeat of East Pakistan 🇵🇰 as their will be parity among provinces , Both Russia 🇷🇺 & China 🇨🇳 have autonomous provinces with own flags along with central flags , For Pakistan best would be for center just deal wiith 3 subjects currency , defense & Foreign affairs , even the capital be moved perhaps out of Punjab away from Rawalpindi ! This may save Pakistan. From its capacity issues , resource distribution & equality for all ethnicities & save the country !

Qaid e azam also wanted this same arrangement with India under cabinet mission. Strong fedral shd be abolished . Tax collection rights shd be given to provinces . All provinces have enough resources to collect revenue for themselves. Like balochistan have lot of natural resources and it can impose levy on them.
Relations with All the neighbours shd be improved , US shd be removed from any control in pakistan affairs.
      Foj shd be pushed back

So it's quite pondering that why India abolished it's cantonments recently in 2023..?
I earlier thought that it's merely being cost-effective since it does allow a significant and much needed decrease in Indian military's non-military budget.
However, taking the insights now that abolishing the cantonments is absolutely necessary to keep the economy absolutely immune of military engagement or allowing them the primary beneficiary, let alone the major ity one ... Thanks Ayesha Siddiqa - You're actually a Tom Boy

Very insightful, mature, and learned point of view. One thing that I do not agree with is that the atrocities meted out towards PTI workers are those who do not conform to the military establishment aren’t as hard as what happened to PPP workers in 1975 when Bhutto was detained. I think that the military has crossed cultural, human, and religious boundaries in such an uncouth, shameful, and barbaric manner that we had never seen earlier.
