The Russian people and the Ukrainians want no conflict, nor do the Russian PEOPLE demand that Ukrainians be ruled by Putin. It's PUTIN who cannot tolerate a liberal democratic state on his border, one succeeding well where his people can see it and know about it, and he can't lie to them like he can lie about the further-away and tribally-foreign America. He KNOWS he's never been elected by his people, that he has no rule of law, that the only rule in Russia is power and terror, propping up lies, and enforcing ignorance.
If Russian people realize that Ukrainian people aren't serfs? That they DO have rights, and liberties of their own, can say what they think, and can choose their leadership? Then they'll start wondering why they can't have it that too, and the regime won't be able to delude them with lies about how all the Western nations are worse off, and freedoms are all lies, and only loyalty to Authoritarian Russia can keep them safe from the horrid, horrid godless threat of PEOPLE WHO WANT TO LIVE IN PEACE, RULE THEMSELVES, AND PURSUE HAPPINESS IN LAWFUL AMITY. For anyone interested; ReallifeLore made an amazing video about the real reasoning Putin has. /watch?v=If61baWF4GE
Essentially, it boils down to Putin amassing wealth through the oil/gas state. Ukraine threatened that by discovering natural gas and Putin had to intervene to save himself from the poverty many Russians are in already. Russian politics declining to diversify their interests from oil and gas has built up to this. Corruption and paranoia fed it.

The problem seemed to be that Bernie was really popular, but he kept hitting a snag when he started talking about anything that sounded to people like Socialism, and he couldn't find a better way to phrase it that people could get on board about. His policies and ideas are good, but it wasn't grabbing the attention as intended, and that - in my view - is what stopped his momentum. The good consolation is that the Biden Administration is open to his ideas, so at least we have that.

What exactly have we all been through over the past few years, my fellow human beings? How may any of us confidently know if at least half of the information was U.N-democratically, and brutally, hidden or misplaced?
The most honest thing Bernie said was : "... we don't know."
I'm on no-sides these days, for reasons which are all to obvious. I feel we are in a generation which employs more "tear-jerks", aggressive rhetoric, and to fund and support these wars with our "defensive weapons" - Which last time I observed, causes more innocent, senseless deaths on both sides of our framed positions.
No popular social leader, or U.N. speaker, (or entertaining comedians) should be persuading us to choose which leaders' innocent citizens we "should or should not" care about. What's wrong with this nearly godless world, my citizens?
There has to be a more ethical and sincere moral choice about all this "World Warring", or how may we continue to say we are the miracle of evolution? What is it?
Hypocrisy is nearly an international pandemic. Peace above all, Human Beings.

@nushka19 I had no problem reading or understanding Freetimers reply. I think he is spot on personally. Our "leaders", and I mean globally, including here in the U.S.A., have sold us all out. I voted for Bernie in the 2016 primary, and would have again in 2020 if he hadn't of abdicated to Biden and the DNC PREMATURALY, throwing away all his leverage. For all the scare mongering over Trump being a threat to our democracy, it was Hillary and the DNC that actually did subvert democracy by cheating Bernie, and the American voters of their choice. I didn't like Trump as a human being long before he ran for president, still don't like him... but he won because blue collar voters who voted for Obama, twice, refused to vote for Clinton, and many voted for Trump instead. The vast majority of those same working class voters supported Sanders tho... and yet, like his abdicating in 2020, he refused to take on the corruption in the DNC that cheated him in 2016, and came out in support of Clinton instead. To his credit, he hasn't sold out to corporate or monied interests, but to his shame he sold out for his politcal career. I like Bernie as a human being, but I have lost faith in him as any kind of leader. I agree with Freetimer 100%, and rather than telling him to tone it down, I would say anyone not screaming these truths at the top of their lungs should not be taken seriously.

I love this man more than I could ever say. There's not enough words or time in one lifetime to properly describe how much I love Bernie.
He's not just an amazing person he is a role model, IMO.

I tear up when I see Bernie. We as a country really missed an opportunity. Thank you Stephen!

The Clinton campaign destroyed his opportunity.

I agree, Bernie is 10 times more intelligent and caring than our current and former president. We as a country really missed an opportunity!

Biden is a puppet and Bernie’s platform is being adopted since day one with disastrous results across the board. Just like Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, etc.

Who do you think has us where we are?? What does Bernie have to offer-"free tuition" or free medical care? NOTHING is free...I can't understand why that escapes the left...yr after yr.
