    Awesome video mate thank you for sharing your thoughts on the JZX90... We have had all 4 window regulators go on ours.

      Wow, all four regulators have gone out! That is crazy but yes that’s one of the issues with these cars. Thank you for the comment and watching the video!

    1:13 - 7M-GTE valve cover gaskets are the same as the non-VVTI 1JZ-GTE which can be acquired stateside.
    16:49 - The white piece that holds the cable is always the failure point, causing the window to fall. I also sell brand new window regulators for the JZX90 Mark II and Chaser if anybody needs them stateside to ensure quicker arrival.
    19:53 - If you have the 5 digit key code and an OEM Toyota key (part number 90999-00185), you can get them laser cut at any local Toyota dealer for a minimal charge or even free.
    23:03 - The tight fuel cap is also caused by an old and brittle 3.5mm vacuum hose that connects from the hardline to the charcoal canister up front. If anyone is still experiencing a tight fuel cap even after replacing it with a new one, that will be your culprit.
    Overall great video!

      Do you know how to get the 5 digit key from the original key? I'm stateside and have the original but am unsure how to get this code. The dealerships were completely clueless.

    You killed it! especially with the hydro fan! I also recommend just converting it to x100 clutch fan and delete the hydro fan! There are many threads on jzx groups/fourms!

    • @MateoM
      @MateoM  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! And That’s the next move. I’m going to give Spal fans a shot before spending the money on a full clutch conversion. Worst case I sell the e-fans and shroud and go clutch. Little bit of experimenting if the hydro fan decides to die soon.

    I can also tell you that there are plenty of aftermarket control arms and what not , most of these are for drift though. But, they're easy to order

    Hey bro did your friend find out what caused the cluster to fail I've got the same issue but climate control radio and lights don't work either

  • @fuge622
    @fuge622 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hey man, thoughts I'd comment in case anyone has the same issue as me. If your MAP sensor goes bad it's highly likely you actually won't even be able to start the car. It'll turn over and pop and bang and sound like it's about to start and get really close but it'll never actually start and stay idling. Super easy fix and the part is shared with a Supra. I would swap it out even if it's working fine just to be safe since heat will kill them over time. Great video!

      Thank you for this info! I’m going to order a spare sensor to keep on hand then 🫡

    Have you sourced a windshield provider for this chassis state side yet?

    • @MateoM
      @MateoM  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There have been a few guys on the facebook group (JZX Owners US) who offer this service, but there is no provider/company stateside that offers this. So you'll have to order it through a them (third party) and hope it makes it to you in one piece from Japan or wherever it is.

    In regards to getting a key made. I went to Toyota and had a key made by the key code engraved in the original key and it opens the door locks but won’t start the ignition. Any reasons for that? Have you had a key copied and made?

    • @MateoM
      @MateoM  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do know there is a valet key and a regular key. But as far as I know, the valet key can’t open the rear trunk. The valet key is one silver piece vs the regular key that has the black plastic top portion. My car only has the valet key, so I went to a hardware store and they cut a new one for me so I could have a spare. What happened to me once was the key didnt unlock the cylinder. It would go in but wouldn’t turn, after messing with it (putting key in and out) it turned fine. It hasn’t done it since so idk what that was about. Hope that helps some!

    • @MateoM
      @MateoM  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@krishneelprasad8427 mileage is 180k kilometers. So around 111k miles. And for the radiator setup, it’s JZX100 radiator, and 2JZ water pump and fan. Can get the fan from a SC300 or anything that came with a 2j.

    My battery and exhaust temp light(at the same time) just recently came on. I was wondering what that could mean. I read the Toyota manual and it says catalytic converter is running higher than normal temp. Just wanted to get input. I have a jzx90 2.5L automatic transmission.

    Can you please tell me what its called and where you bought your bodykit also what wheel setup are you running?

    • @MateoM
      @MateoM  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Body Kit came with the car, but it’s a truam body kit made by KFD in Russia. It’s based off a BN type 3 kit I believe. And wheel set up, 18x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear, I can’t remember the offsets at the moment, but they are pretty aggressive. I’m changing the lips on the wheels to help that and get rid of the camber and rubbing
