You know, I just watched "The King's Speech" tonight, where basically King George VI struggles to articulate a single sentence without stammering. That was the exact OPPOSITE of Gihren Zabi. This speech really is one of the most terrifying moments in Gundam for me, not just because of the powerful content, but the force and passion in Gihren's performance and delivery. In the end, you're left frightened, stunned, and (perhaps most disturbingly) a little motivated and impressed...

The Federation are bad too, as the incidents of Operation Stardust, Zeta and ZZ showed. Any political power in the Gundam became corrupt. I think Tomino's point is that in war, all sides are capable of great heroism and pure evil. The winner is the side that fights for a universal peace for all, rather than a biased one.
