Colored pencil are a challenge and that’s why I like it. But one thing I’ve learned is under painting and going very lightly with one solid color and then building up with slightly dark colors of the same color family. Also, take BREAKS! I’ve learned that doing it in one sitting sometimes you focus too much in one area and then when you’re done you have different areas that are kind of different. So yeah, step away for a few minutes and refresh your eyes.

The act of drawing with a pencil activates parts of the brain associated with introverted intuition and creative prblem solving. It doesn't work as well with a tablet.😊

I have explored MANY of your TH-cam videos, and you're explanation of layering, blending, burnishing, etc. is the first to really explain it clearly and easily with the beginner in mind. You are very good at explaining WHY you are doing what you do, not just demonstrating. Thank you for these helps. In the future, when I can afford to explore Patreon, I have found my teacher!
