Are they available in india?😅
Don't use betterhelp they've been known to let anyone be a "therapist" and have a lot of scandals surrounding their business. it's disheartening to see creators keep working with them@@annusolanki1031
facts@@discretelyobvious
I love how you color your portraits because it's pastel but with a wide range of values! But, please check your sponsor because they currently have issues and controversies. I hope you'll look into it 😊
Great video! I actually didn't realize it's only Canadians who call coloured pencils pencil crayons lol
Thank you! ❤️ I tried so hard not to call them pencil crayons in this video haha
Us British do too 😅
Jamaicans too
I know!
Youre basically saying pencils 2 as crayons is the word for pencil in French and very similar in Romanian
with color a rule of thumb is that as long as it works in black & white you can use any color you want!
Value gives all the info needed, color is just the atmosphere
Agreed! Thanks so much for watching! 💖
I loved what you said about not worrying so much about color matching. Personally, I like to really limit my palette of colored pencils (just grabbing a handful), that way I don't always have the right colors but can focus on values and line work. Also, your nails were so so pretty here, that polish is to die for!!
@gooseygoose2628 yesss! I love the nail color too!
my pencils looking at me: 'this could be us, but you scared...'
😂
It's always exciting to see those darker values get layered on, so cool, the final portrait just shines. I learn something new in every video! 🔥🔥🔥
Ah thank you so much!! 🙌
Love your channel!! I would love to see you do more colored pencil portraits based on value or perhaps limited color choices. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I will definitely make that video in the future 😄
You are very skilled and you have plenty to offer in terms of creating art videos on youtube. I mean, have you seen a lot of the art on here? LOL. I really like hearing your thoughts on which direction to hatch and how you do shape design. That was the first thing I noticed about your colored pencil portraits, and it even shows up in your gouache paintings I think. It's a very unique aspect of your art. Great video!
Beautiful. I love how you've captured the warmth in the left side of the face. You can really see the light there despite that side in shadow, the warmth of the skin is really shining through
Very helpful that you have gone to the trouble of making this video tutorial. Reading a book on coloured pencils is not the same as having someone walk you through it. I feel after watching this the next step is very much to practice. Blending seems to be the hardest challenge. But I will see in my next portrait if I am getting better at slowing it down and layering.
Yes, I would love to understand values when using colour. This is the second time I've watched this video. ❤
Two videos in one week?! You've been crushing it! ✨
Thank you so much!! 💖💖
Looks amazing! You make it look so simple (obviously not)! Now I want to try! 😄😄
This was such a helpful video thank you for all the tips. I do not draw often I know I have it in me it’s been years I’ve taken many art courses anyway I want to make portrait of our family for my husband for Christmas. So studying up
One of the best examples I've ever heard on explaining the importance of value over hue. Your videos are so entertaining and informative. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'm planning on doing similar videos with other mediums 😄
This is exactly the kind of content I've been looking for. I got off TH-cam for a while because I felt that artists were gate keeping, and putting other artists down, but you have such a beautiful channel, and such a lovely personality. Your portraits are clearly full of love and appreciation, and you helped me to remember some of the parts of art that I love and haven't focused on lately. Enjoying the beauty of unique features and thinking how fun it is play with those features. Thank you,
Awesome thx love the Prisma color ❤
such a happy portrait!! its lovely
Thank you fuzzy! 💖
Great choice of reference photo. It might be challenging for me. Haha, I'm not good with faces. But it's delightful to see your drawing painting, colour pencil painting. 😊😊❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much Jerry! 😊✨
That's Tomoe Shinohara!! I LOVE her! :D
Your candid nature makes you look good on camera! Keep doing the great work!
Thank you so much for this and really emphasizing shapes and values! You captured her expression so well. Keep up the great work! 🎉
Thank you so much! 😊✨ I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
I don’t have access to col-erase, but have noticed my watercolor pencils are mostly erasable. I always use a colorful sketch and it’s been fine. At least worth a shot to try it!
I also, for some reason prefer using watercolor colored pencils even without adding water. Maybe it prevents me from going too vibrant too early lol
I love watercolor pencils too! I've been using them for under sketches for paintings, so lovely to work with!
I absolutely love your videos and style. They’re a big inspiration for me. Thanks for answering the question about color choice too!
Aw that is so so nice to hear, thank you so much! 🩷
Recently I was wondering about how people made colored pencil portraits! Thank you for making another awesome video!
Ah that's great timing then! Thank you for watching Lilly! 💛
Thank you for the demo - always learning stuff
Thank you for watching! 💛
I adore your use of color! I've really been into art with similar color usage so this hits the spot perfectly.. also reminds me a bit of Chris Hong!
You're a big inspo for me in a difficult time
Ah thank you Kiwi! I hope this difficult time passes ❤ Wishing you all the best!! 🌱
Excellent tips and explanation!
Beautiful 🤩
your channel has really helped me improve! you share so many great tips and tricks
I'm so glad!! Thanks for watching 😊🫶
This video is absolutely amazing!! It is exactly what I was looking for, because I struggle with colored pencils. Thank you so much for creating this! I watched a similar colored pencil portrait video by Chris Hong, but unfortunately it was a short, and I nearly drove myself crazy trying to follow along.
So, thank you thank you!! You are so very talented!!
Thank you so much!! I am really glad you found it helpful. ❤Chris Hong is a colored pencil genius! 😄
Loved it.
Wow really nice artwork ❤
I learned a lot. Thank you ❤ Love your art

I am so glad you found it helpful! ❤️

@emhuesart lilace works beautifully in your pieces!
Will you indulge us and so another video on colour pencil drawing. Maybe with more lilac? 😬
Hi! This is incredible thank you for sharing your knowledge it really helps me realise what I need to work on! and yes if you have time a video where you use just primary colours for a pencil portrait would be amazing!
I'm so glad you found it helpful! I will definitely do more coloured pencil videos in the future ❤️
Drawing teeth freaks me out lol I'll try to follow your advice about it and also I'll try to not be as distracted by color picking and focus more on the values :) as always, thank you!! I feel like since I follow your channel I've improved a lot ❤
Yay! That is so amazing to hear! ❤ Thank you for sticking around and watching my videos!!
Love the video! I switch between calling them pencil crayons and colored pencils, lol. Also, if you ever decide to come out with a zine or art book, know that I will definitely be in line to purchase it! 😊
This is so cool! You have some true skills.
Thank you so much! 💛
oh my god... you might be my new idol in art
Hiii, i love ur art band ur art style especially this one and i myself am a beginner artist like i have just been drawing for like a year and a half and i am very scared to add color to my. I am actually always get confused with alot of colors so can u make a video about **How to choose colors for portraits**
And also could u tell some good quality but yk not that expensive colored pencils cuz prismacolors in inr is really expensive even the 12 colors one its literally 2k+

What color Holbeins do you recommend for portraits? That's for someone who can't buy them all. Thank you
you explained this so well!! and it’s so relaxing to listen and watch you draw 💛💛 where did you find the reference photo? i want to colour along but i can’t find it anywhere 😭
Thank you so much!! I just added a link to the reference in the description 💖 Thank you for reminding me, I completely forgot!
this is really so beautiful...
Thank you so much! ❤️
Really cool to see your process with this! We just dropped the same video within an hour of each other haha! Your style is amazing and it's interesting to see how you use colour. You manage to keep it so soft but maintaining the emotion in the portrait, a real talent!
Hey! Thank you so much! I discovered you on Instagram and immediately loved your work. I'm so happy to see that you have a TH-cam channel too 😄 I'm off to watch your video now!
Hi!! was wondering if you could list the color and brand of the pencils used!! thanks so much i love you xoxoxo
Thank you for a great video. I'm interested in the limited color palette with emphasis on value scale.
Thank you for watching! I think the limited color palette makes for a much more interesting portrait 😄
You and hamrib are my favorite
Ah thank you! I love hamrib! 💖
Stealing these tips for my upcoming portrait classes at art school! ❤❤
Yes!! Steal them!! 🥰🥰🥰
wow!
Yes so god too now 🎉
In case anyone is interested, the artgear guy explained this myth of “oil” and “wax based”.
I actually haven't seen that! I'm going to check it out now :) thank you!
OMG i drew this exact ref a few months ago and i looked so goofy tge whole time😭 whenever i draw I cant help but make the same face as my reference
Trying the same references multiple times can be really great for learning! 😄
I am so in love with her voice and I only listened for a few seconds....
Aw thank you!
Hi i got a question abt the sponsor, do they do online sessions or not and whether or not they are available in india?😅
btw I love the color of your nails ! This was so helpful. I've been really wanting to use colored pencils as a medium with portraits and just a fun way to implement because I feel like colored pencils is associated with kids & school.
Thank you!! I also avoided colored pencils for years, maybe subconsciously because of the association with school haha! I am so glad I gave them another try as an adult though, because they have SO much potential. I hope you enjoy experimenting with them! 😄
🙏🌿🌿
First time on your video let's see how it works for me
Thank you Emilieeeee... 💔🙏
Always have you pencils pointy side down in case you poke your eye out bending over.

Pls english plssss
I think my color pencils are made out of pure plastic, they're so weird
Oh no! 😅 That does sound weird!!
