Kotor was absolutely stunning. We took a tour that took us up to top of the mountain for excellent views and had lunch at a small restaurant then back to the old town to explore. Loved it.

So "Inspired Silliness" is actually happening! I remember Princess ballyhooing this when Sky launched pre-covid then it quietly went POOF! Glad to see Vista Lounge getting some entertainment attention, and look forward to this hopefully being available when I am onboard in November
We have our very first Princess cruise scheduled for next June on the Royal for 2 weeks in Alaska. This is our anniversary cruise so we opted for the Premium package which fortunately negates the recent changes. Since cruise lines opt to make changes as they see fit we are concerned about changes still to come before we cruise that might sour us on the trip.
We were on the Enchanted from Rome to Barcelona for the two week cruise last month. You're right, it was terribly hot but that's when hubby could get that much vacay time. She's a beautiful ship, but in trying to enjoy one of our favorite places on any Princess ship we were disappointed - We tried to enjoy the pool deck but it was so hot and very crowded and without many loungers in the shade as we prefer fast we left. There's loads of other seating in the shade but no breeze made it uncomfortable enough that we just sat inside near Crown Grill with lovely air con instead. Kotor was lovely, as you said, and we loved going to the Acropolis in Athens and seeing the Parthenon but my footwear let me down (literally) on the way down the hill as I slipped on the polished marble stairs. No injury except to my pride, luckily. Pompeii was amazing, but idk how you did Vesuvius on the same day. We were exhausted by Pompeii and the National Archaeological Museum in Naples but the heat was definitely a factor. Great cruise, but the amount of shore excursions we took exhausted us. I don't think we'll take such a busy itinerary anytime the near future.
We feel the same. You have to make a conscious effort to slow down and not arrange too much, after all it is a holiday. We did a Princess excursion in Naples so we could fit in both Mt Vesuvius and Pompei.
A very thoughtful review of the Enchanted Princess. I understand that prices will continue to rise to recover the Billions in lost GOP (Gross Operating Profit), no problem. IMHO, here are my responses to your Qs... 1. Padgett should have grandfathered those who paid in full. 2. The change to having 2 casual dining options for a 7-day cruise or a 26-day cruise is a little rich. 3 On older ships such as the Coral do not have an Alfredo's, it's a lunchtime service in Sabatinies on sea days.😮 4. To charge for something that was baked into the price and calling it a perk speaks volumes of the lack of effective change management messaging. That's enough for this round of up charges. Wait for the next round that will probably go after the Elite services. 😢 Enjoy your next cruise😊
I was on the Enchanted in October. I had a wonderful expierence..Barcelona to Athens. I need more than 2 days in Barcelona & Athens...3-4 dsys...jet lag takes a toll when you land. *9 stars

So excited to go in our TA from Rome on The Enchanted Princess. QUESTION: Do they offer drink packages and/or wine packages and/or specialty dining packages after you board? We don’t drink enough to make Princess Plus an option.
Hi. How exciting to be on a Princess TA. We have one coming up but is on P&O. Princess were certainly offering various packages at Embarkation. You can then see what the bar prices are to help your decision. I would also look at Cruise mummy as there is a drinks calculator for each cruise line. You should also look on your Cruise personaliser for options. Princess Plus was best for us at £50 per day and covered gratuities and wifi as well as drinks. There are now the added casual dining features too which is new. The drinks packages seemed to cost more than Princess Plus when I was doing my research. Don't forget to check if Princess allows you to bring on a bottle at Embarkation for you to drink in your cabin. Hope you have a great trip.
I read that Princess have recently made some changes that have made them quite unpopular with a lot of cruisers. Is this true? It looks like you had a great time. In the Main Dining Room, can you ask for an extra serve if you want more, as you can on Cunard? I'm a vegetarian too so it's nice to see there was plenty of choice for you.
the princess changes were really minor in the end.. like a charge for 2 things onboard and everyone had a melt down.. they dont impact most cruises. and if you want to Pay $8 for a pizza or $15 for unlimited drink/food delivery to you you can.. but otherwise no major change
Hi Joan, yep some of the changes are proving unpopular, not just on Princess either. The cruise lines are doing tehir best to recoup money lost due to Covid as quick as possible....and I fear its starting to put people off...so somewhat counter productive. Yep you can still ask for an extra starter / desert...not so sure you can a Main...but we're always too full to even attempt that! 🙂
They did make several changes with what was free when we booked our cruises and is now a cost. They have taken away things that used to be included and there is an extra cost to the “plus” and “ premium” options. Several cruise lines are doing this. We still have 3 Princess cruises scheduled but we will not be paying for any extra packages.
I’m doing the 14 day Mediterranean cruise in August next year is it worth booking a Santorini excursion plus the Pompeii excursion early thanks in advance
Hi. A 14 day Mediterranean Cruise sounds fantastic. You will see so many ports. I have noticed that popular Cruise ship excursions can get sold out so if you are set on an excursion you could book it. You could always cancel and get a refund. In Santorini we did a private excursion via Get your Guide and booked early but you don't have to pay until a few days before the trip. The planning can be just as enjoyable as the cruise. Hope you have a fabulous time. We will be back in the Med next April/May.

You have to pay extra if you order an extra lobster or steak, but not the regular entrees.
We are booked in 360 on our next cruise in October. Dinner and a show. Who could ask for more?! 😁
