I have never been on a princess cruise before. It's a beautiful ship with lots of things to see and do. I can tell that you both had a splendid time. I will definitely book me a cruise 🛳 on this particular one. Thanks for sharing this video!😊😊
Guernsey is a tender port but the sea in the area where the ship anchors tends to be rough. I have visited eight times so far but only able to get ashore four times as getting a safe tender operation running is problematic. Often they go to an alternate port but probably not on a longer British Isles cruise so just put in an extra sea day. Cobh was formerly known as Queenstown and was a port the Titanic visited on that occasion she tendered there. The great thing about Cobh is that the train station and trains are closer to the ship than the tour buses.
We were so sad to miss the Guernsey port because we rented Jeeps and we were going to do a really cool off road trip. I think if we go to Cobh again we will attempt to actually go to Cork. This time we decided to just stay around the port.
I love living vicariously through you two. Would have loved to see and experience the sights, smells and tastes you two had on this trip. My wife would be insanely jealous of the Eiffel Tower visit!
Haha, just saw the bit where Expel is telling Tony from La Lido Loca that he’s had a comment on his video that he was spotted in Tony’s video. That was me!!!

Wow brought back so many memories, me and my wife took our first ever cruise from that exact terminal last October with princess around the Canary islands, there is absolutely nothing like cruising, i caught the bug… so many questions but the main thing is i hope you both had an amazing time as it looks that way. Really hope this channel takes off for you both because the vlog is top quality and deserves it. So cool to see another side to you, travelling around Britain where i am from was so nostalgic as a brit who has followed your COD content for years now. You had great weather as it’s been very cold up to now, looking forward to 26th July when we go on this same cruise. Did a similar round Britain trip calling into Iceland. P and O. Do you know if anyone used Uber in Edinburgh. We use them all the time as cheap reliable transport. Look forward to viewing more vids.
@@silversurfer1251 If I remember correctly, I think we used an Uber to get back to the port in Edinburgh! I am looking at the Norway/Iceland trips right now. That looks like a fun cruise!
Great video! Heathrow is huge but not to hard to navigate. I cannot wait to visit over there and length instead of a layover. Looking forward to more vids!!!!!!
Nice vlog. Please tell me what shuttle you used to get to Heathrow, what hotel you stayed at there, and how easy was it to get to and from London from the airport? TIA
From the cruise terminal we took a bus through the cruise ship, which took us to the airport. At one point we took the tube from London to the Airport/Hotel. It's very easy! You just need to be mindful of the luggage. Another way is through a taxi, but that cost us 60-80 pounds and it took us from the Airport into London. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3 which I recommend. It was clean, and very conveniently located!
Enjoyed your vlog. We’ll be taking the exact same ship/itinerary next May. I’m wondering if you can provide information on how you got to Southampton from London to board the ship?
We took a private car, which I do NOT recommend. It was extremely expensive. We didnt realize how much it was going to be, completely our fault. I’d probably take a cab, or look for a Facebook group for your ship and see if you can collaborate with other’s for a ride!
We did the “Best of Giants Causeway & Antrim” excursion through Princess excursions. It was from 9:45AM - 6:45PM and was $494.90. The transportation, snacks, and lunch were all included!
We really enjoyed it, and if you do Princess it is very port heavy! I would recommend looking for one that has 2 day ports, so you have a little bit longer to explore.
Looks like you had a great time in Ireland, France and Britain! We live in Ireland and while we don’t get to visit Britain very much, we do get around a bit of France. We cruise with Princess and Celebrity all the time and but we go further afield for our destinations. For you guys though, you made a great choice for this cruise!
That’s amazing and so convenient for y’all. We are getting married next year in Ireland ☺️ Which cruise line do you prefer between celebrity and princess?
Nice video. I spent 12 days in Ireland, staying in Cork, Dublin, and Belfast. I don’t think it’s that much like America, except of course, they do speak English. I found the people to be very friendly, proud of their history, the cities clean and safe, and the countryside quite beautiful. Not sure if you can get that sense in just a few hours visiting there.
@@brookeandcorbin if you don’t mind, can I ask how you got from Southampton to the Canopy? Trying to figure out as it will be our first visit to London. Thank you so much!
We took a private cab which I would NOT do. It was so expensive -$400. If I were to do it over, I would look at the Viator bus transfer, or possibly a taxi.

I enjoyed your video. I was thinking about a similar cruise, I noticed that many of your stops seemed like it was crowded. Was it easy to get away from the crowds? Thanks! - i also live in Austin
It’s always crowded around the port because everyone’s getting off, but it’s not overwhelmingly crowded. It honestly depends on where you’re going. In Paris it’s always crowded, Giants Causeway is pretty crowded, but most of the other stops were just our tour or a couple of tours.
We did Rail Europe! You’ll need to take a cab to the station, unless you want to walk 30 minutes. It’s super easy and was a smooth ride. Only $55 for both of us and about a 2 hour ride.
@@klutes68 I definitely feel like it's worth it, although the Normandy excursion was very fascinating if you don't want to go to Paris. In Paris, just do the "Hop on Hop off" bus, unless you get to stay the night.
We are doing this same cruise next month. We wished you would have explained more about what you chose for transportation, costs and why you chose those. Example, the train to Paris and why you took a taxi back in Edinburgh. 😊
I definitely think in the next video we will try to be more informative!! Thank you for the feedback ♥️ You have to take a 2 hour train to get to Paris, which I definitely recommend. It was around $64, but that’s also because my fiancée at the time was considered a “youth” 😂 We took a taxi back from Edinburgh because our excursion bus was going back earlier than we needed to, so we stayed behind and taxied back to the port 🙂 Let me know if you have any more questions that way I know next time what kind of information people are looking for!
For the most part I would always recommend an excursion. When we didn’t pick an excursion we still did the Hop on Hop off buses. A lot of the times the ports are a drive away from the cities that you think you’re visiting, and you have to take some sort of transportation.
What transportation did you take from airport to hotel in London? And then to cruise port from hotel in London? How much was it for each? Are there shuttles to the cruise ports? Did you rearrange your transportation and if so, with who?
From the airport we took a taxi, which was around $60-$80, but there’s the underground tube that you can take depending on how much luggage you have… We took a private car to the cruise, BUT we got ripped off on that one it was $400. We visited Queensferry on a day when one of these monsters moored in the Forth estuary and took over all the local boats and our planned trip round the bay was impossible.
